"We are vegetarians who love the vegetarian sushi roll, the mojitos and creative cocktails (wonderful selection!), the sweet plantains, and asparagus tempura tacos. The atmosphere is very fun and trendy, with good energy. However, you pay through the nose for the creative selections -- we paid $93 for a light dinner for 2, sharing an entree and a couple dim sum plates with dessert. Great food, but our enthusiasm for Zengo has diminished over our last few visits for the small amount of food you get for the money."

"We have repeatedly visited Zengo with great results. Most recently we visited for a 30 birthday celebration with a small group and they surprised us at the end of a meal with a complimentary dessert with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate - an unexpected and very appreciated final touch. The food is very unique and creative. Dishes are thoughtful and well executed. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, and paces meals well even on the busiest of evenings. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on ambience is it can be very loud if you are sitting near the bar area, and we visited at dusk and a couple of us had the sun in our eyes for the majority of dinner due to blinds that don't close floor to ceiling. Will visit again and again!"

"We tried 3 different small plates that night. All were fabulous! We ordered 2 dinners - again both were to die for ESPECIALLY the black cod!! I tried several different cocktails - all were delicious. My dining partner ordered "bartender's special" (make what they want) and had one of the best drinks he ever had."

"My husband and I ate there a week ago and were impressed by the waitress' attentiveness and the fact that she brought us a separate vegetarian menu after inquiring if she needed to be aware of any dietary restrictions. We are vegans and sometimes eating out can be complicated. We enjoyed the food and loved the service, so we decided to bring some friends. The food was delicious just like before, but the waiter was quite inattentive and made it sound like there wasn't anything but two vegan items for us on their special menu (when we knew better based upon our previous dining experience)."

"Zengo has fantastic food, the menu is very creative most things you can't pronounce but your servier will fill you in. I've eaten here 4 times and every time there is something new and different on the menu. I have not been disappointed yet. Two things to mention tho: 1) don't get there before they open because no matter how cold it is they won't let you in and 2) happy hour is only available at the bar."

"Would highly recommend their bottomless brunch! What a fun way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning...and most of the food was really stellar too - not mass produced sitting under a warming tray for hours like some bottomless brunches. Also, Zengo is famously accommodating of dietary restrictions and this proved accurate for brunch too - tons of vegetarian and even vegan options, as well as gluten free, etc."

"Everything was excellant. The four of us started with drinks at the bar. A variety of choices made by friendly bartenders. They make a martini with tequila garnished with a habenero slice that is amazing. once seated we started on the appetizers. We tried to run the menu but had to stop at eight. For dinner we had the crab, very unique and flavorful. we finished off with dessert and a tequila hot toddy. A wonderful night with great food and service."

"After discovering Zengo during restaurant week, we booked a table for Easter lunch. The special menu was well priced, delicious and fun! It was an 'eat and drink all you can' and the service was fast; we were never without a dish before us. The service was terrific. I think we've got a new favorite restaurant - and we're willing to drive 45 minutes to get there."

"I have never been disappointed with a Zengo meal. We arrived earlier than the rest of our party and sat at the bar enjoying cocktails and the xo edamame. That is probably the best edamame around. When the rest of the party arrived we went with the sharing approach and ordered a variety of items. Everything was wonderful. Fabulous flavors and presentation. Also, the cocktails are fantastic."

"I guess I'm not really into the whole "small plate" thing. The guacamole with lump crab was great, but the guacamole overpowers the crab to the point that it might as well not be included, so the dish is way overpriced at $18 or $19. The tuna tacos were good and cute, but not very filling. The volcano roll was OK, but again, the flavor and texture of the fish was lost in the spices. I had TWO - count 'em - TWO - mojitos, and I don't think either one contained any liquor at all."

"The best thing was the service. Milo, our waiter was outstanding. Disappointed that we ordered a bottle of wine and when we tried to order a second one they were out. The only other option was a much pricier bottle that wasn't as good or familiar name. Love the food - just wish the tables weren't so close to each other."

"Interesting blend of Asian and Latin cuisine - sounds strange but Zengo has it mastered. The lighting and decor are modern, yet warm and inviting. The wait staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the unique cocktails - my server recommended the Midnight Karma and I am glad she did; it was unusual, refreshing and delicious. My party of 3 shared different desserts and all were wonderful."

"Visited during Restaurant Week --- they were slammed. Valet was understaffed (only 2 attendants and parking was 3 blocks away) -- had to wait 15 minutes for parking. Then had to wait 20 minutes beyond our reservation time to get a table. Extremely noisy -- difficult for conversation.
Food was very good and our waitress, Leslie, was excellent -- this is what saved the evening. Don't plan to come back again."
