"This place was great a few years ago. The steak was a poor cut, my lobster was a tad overcooded and tough, the augratin potatoes flavorless, the bread pudding is not as good as it used be. The creme brulle and their tuna appetizer were good. There are many other restaurants that would offer the same dinner I feel with a bit more flavor."

"We always enjoy our meal at Ruth's Chris, the best location we've been to is the one in Garden City. I've been to several private dining events and they have all been wonderful. On this occasion, which was a regular dinner for my wife and I, we met Anna, who is the Private Dining Coordinator and she was wonderful. Our waiter Dan was attentive and friendly, he even found a bottle of wine with our name on it. Throughout the meal I noticed the managers constantly checking the dining room to ensure everything was running smoothly. The steaks were delicious and along with the great service it made for a wonderful evening."

"i love ruth chris' steak house. this one is in a great location. the bartenders are very friendly - i love to eat at the bar, and the service in the restaurant is usually impeccable, but not monday night. my husband and i went to celebrate my birthday. we arrived at 8:30 pm, the valet would not park our car. he watched us from the building as we pulled up and waited for him to come out. he never did.i parked my own car, and walked past him as i entered the building to enter the restaurant. no "good evening" or anything. when i spoke to the hostess, she told us we couldn't park our own car, that the valet had to. i explained what happened to her twice, before she apologized very quickly and took us to our table."

"We went for a birthday celebration and they thoughtfully let my daughter choose her birthday dessert on the house. That was a special touch. The decor and lighting is very nice and the service was great. The porterhouse was better last time, as this time it was a little fatty and more went to waste and for the price, $90 for a steak for two I felt it could have been a little better. It was still delicious though and I would go back for another special occasion. The sauteed spinach portion was hefty and delicious and the baked potato was huge and came with nice toppings. The appetizer of tomato and onion was just okay. The tomato tasted overripe and for $9 they gave you three thick slices of tomato with a smattering of red onion."

"Nice atmosphere and nice staff. Food portions are the only thing that was lacking. We should not be able to finish a porterhouse for 2 plus all of 2 side dishes in one sitting. Outside of that, we enjoyed the meal. The potatoes au grautin were good but was just too small for the price. May go back but only for drinks being that the restaurant is very loud."

"Great time and great food at Ruth's. 6 + 1 baby. Had 6 cowboy ribeye and they were excellent. Also ordered various spinach, sweet potato and mushrooms. Now I dont remember but the mushroom taste like it was from a can. That was the only bad item we did not like."

"Unlike most other run-of-the-mill Ruth's Chris locations, something special is going on here in Garden City. I stay away from many other locations as the service is spotty and the food, while usually good, is never outstanding. Here in Garden City, the management has put together perfect service with outstanding food to make this a favorite place in Long Island for great steak and seafood. The lollipop lamb chops appetizer was scrumptious and the steaks were brimming with flavor. Forget the other Long Island steak houses and visit Ruth's Chris in Garden City. As for their other locations, lots of work needs to be done!"

"The food was outstanding! Cheesecake, not so much. When we told our waiter that it lacked flavor, he responded, "oh sorry". Our bill was $700 and we would have expected at least an option to have a different dessert."

"I have been eating at this Ruth's Chris for over 15 years and it is still my favorite steak house. Whenever I am in another state or out of the country I always try to find a Ruth's Chris steak house. I have eaten in Ruth's Chris in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Florida, Manhattan and others but Gardn City is still me favorite. The staff is always friendly and courteous, The managers, Liz and Mariola are always on hand to see to anything that you need."
