Fives restaurant and the adjoining Bar at Fives are currently closed for refurbishment and are set to debut in fall 2013 with an exciting new name and concept. In the interim, hotel guests may enjoy a Continental breakfast buffet and select a la carte items in Gotham Lounge, buffet breakfast on the banquet floor or an a la carte menu through In-room Dining. Gotham Lounge will also be open to the public for lunch, Afternoon Tea, dinner and cocktails.

"The restaurant week menu was only available from 12 to1:45. Our reservation was for 2 pm and nowhere in the nyc restaurant week site did it say that. I think the staff knew that and did not even post a menu outside so it was like you were trapped. And then as soon as you sit, the waiter rushes you to order, without giving you a chance look at the menu. So our 25 dollar meal turned to 70! Thanks!"

"Oh my what a treat to eat in a truly grown-up restaurant where no jangling music tries to create a false "buzz." No crowding here, with tables set far enough apart that neighboring conversation doesn't interfere with one's own and chairs are not bumped into by passing waiters or patrons. As to the food, it couldn't be better. I have never had a more complicated and interesting pumpkin ravioli. I LOVE this restaurant."
