"Ventano's is truly a neighborhood gem! You won't find it on the strip or in some over priced casino setting. Instead, this delicious food and excellent menu is in a little neighborhood in Henderson. "The title of the review says it all. The eggplant parm was made with ricotta cheese and it was very good. I had veggies with mine, but others chose pasta. Great choice either way. The view is nice, the staff is pleasant, and the food is delicious."

"Just did a birthday party for my 90 year old mother at Ventano. They handled our group of 19 that ranged from 10 months to 94 years old with grace and style. The varied menu allowed for our meat eaters (who loved the honeyed ribs) to the vegans (fabulous eggplant parmigiana) to enjoy a special occasion immensely. Started with tasty shrimp on the stone to appease the hunger and the kitchen managed to get everyone's 'off the menu' selections to the table at the same time ... marvelous. Our guests LOVED the food and the service."

"This is just one of those special restaurants that is always an excellent experience from the hostess greeting to service to food to view. The Las Vegas area is home to many top notch restaurants and this one is a locals favorite. Away from the strip and always enjoyable. You can not go wrong with this casual gem. Serving sizes are big, make sure to try the shrimp on the stone appetizer."

"We quite enjoyed our first visit here, and will return often. It's a striking room with Mediterranean decor, well-spaced tables, and nice view of Las Vegas strip.
Wine & food menus were broad and interesting, and execution outstanding. My wife is in the wine business and hard to impress, but thought wine prices quite fair and their featured 2010 Malbec a great find. Hostess was very quick, gracious and attentive, and food preparation was excellent. Our only complaint was slow & erratic table service for a fairly quiet weeknight, maybe their "first string" had the night off."

"The food was great. I had their risotto and then a side of meatballs. The meatballs were authentic Italian and delicious. The misleading part was the view. By the website, you are led to believe they have a spectacular view of Las Vegas...it is not. Ok view but nothing special. In addition, I was seated by either the owner or manger's wife and kids. It was very distracting having them doing their homework out loud as I was trying to relax. The biggest issue for me was when the child was allowed to use his hand held video game. Although the sound was turned down a bit, all I could hear was that constant game music and noise. It is work a shot to try the place...because the food is good, but be cautious where they seat you."

I forgot to add the comment to our reservation that I wanted a window view so I tried to go back and add it about a minute after I made the reservation. "After several friends recommended that I try Ventano's, after more than 3 years of putting it off, I finally had an occasion to go. My mom was visiting us and I wanted to try a new place. So I took my wife, 14 year old and 10 year old daughters and my mom to Ventano's. We were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was very nice with a feel like old Italy. The staff greeted us promptly and bread was at the table within minutes. I am a big water drinker and most places might fill you up a second time but rarely a fifth or sixth time. "Service was slow, and the it was very noisy. I was very hopefull when they brought some warm crispy bread in a bag and a crisp fresh Caesar Salad..then it was downhill. My chicken d'agelo was swimming in a much too thick creamy sauce that was tasteless and gooey. The pasta was precooked and stuck together. The chicken wa sacceptable but nothing to rave about..could not get it away from the awful sauce that was everywhere on my plate. Then we had the scampi with pasta..same experience, same sauce and the scampi did no taste fresh. Very disappointing meal."

"We had reservations for 6:30pm. It was not busy at all. We checked in and the hostess said we will be right with you so we stepped to the side. There were 3 other couples who came in behind us WITHOUT reservations who were seated ahead of us. We were all parties of just 2. It took 15 minutes for us to be seated. When the hostess finally sat us, we explained to her what we saw and how long we were waiting. She did not even offer an apology, rather she argued with us. Once we were seated, it took another 15 minutes for a server to come by and take our drink order. When she finally did come, we explained to her how long we had been waiting, and we told her we were leaving. She also did not apologize for the wait. Bottom line rude staff."
