"We drive by here all the time and every time, say, "we need to eat here." So we did and we are glad we did. We went during the week and had the Chefs tasting menu. It was 4 courses of creative, balanced and finely prepared dinner, each course accompanied by a nice glass of wine. The server was knowledgable about each dish and each wine and their service very correct. If you want a delicious meal in a comfortable setting with very good service and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg then this is the place for you."

"We made reservations for 7:30pm & were seated immediately. The service was prompt, attentive without being smothering, and pleasant. The food? Terrific all around. We each got the 3-course prix fixe (alternating the choices so as to allow maximum tasting potential). Salads were perfectly dressed, food cooked to perfection and dessert wonderful. We'll be back. It *was* a bit noisy (it's a small space with a lot of people packed in, though physically we had plenty of room), but everything else was great."

"We went for our second visit to Ten Tables in Cambridge last Sunday evening. I guess it was unusually busy for a Sunday night and it showed as a number of diners came and went while we were dining.
Aside from the slow service, the food was fresh, delicious and inventive. On Sunday's they serve a fixed supper menu which some folks may not like, but we didn't mind a bit, everything was really good."

"Very disappointed as I love the original JP restaurant where the food was always delicious. Here the food was edible but no better than any sports bar in harvard sq. In fact most of the bars do better. The server was nice but made no effort to accommodate any dietary restrictions, neither did the kitchen. Wines were ok. At this price ($80 per head) and fuss there's no reason why the food can't taste minimally decent."

"Tables were a little crowded and dark restaurant wasn't particularly cozy. Waitress was a bit loud and because the tables were cheek by jowl, she had to stand with her backside uncomfortably close to our neighbors. Food was very good, but not great or memorable."

"Ten Tables in Cambridge was AWESOME. From the moment we walked in, it was great. Every server smiled and was extremely polite, as well as knowledgeable about food and drink. We did not love the first wine we tried, so the server immediately sent over the sommelier, who graciously recommended a new bottle, a fabulous wine. We did the vegetarian tasting menu. Every course was a treat. I'm a foodie, and I would gladly assert that this was one of my favorite meals in Boston."

"My husband and I chose ten tables to celebrate our first night out after having our first baby. Service was excellent. My husband tried both of the featured wines and enjoyed them. We started with the soft shell crab and mesclun salad. The crab and remoulade sauce were delicious. Perfectly cooked. For entrees We shared the cannelloni and pork special. The pork was moist and paired with a beautiful mix of spring veggies and a beet purée. We both preferred the cannelloni though. It was crisp on top and smothered in one of the best ragus I've had at a restaurant. For dessert we had the walnut and plum crostata and panna cotta. The crostata was our favorite though both desserts were delicious. We can't wait to come back, hopefully soon!"

"we went here for my daughter's college graduation dinner. We had notified the restaurant before that some in our party were vegans and they prepared wonderful vegan dishes for us for three courses. "Overall, it was a lovely Mother's Day dinner. Having said that, however, we've dined there before and I will say the food may have slipped a notch. "I brought my mother to Ten Tables while she was visiting me over Mother's Day. I adored Ten Tables last time I ate there, but this time around it was certainly not an experience that would make me want to revisit again. Nor, must I say, was the experience something I was proud to have my mother be a part of. The food was pretty good, but we could not get over how warm it was inside the restaurant. They CLEARLY needed to turn on the air conditioning instead of cracking open a few measly windows. Every diner's face was flushed and sweaty. Not lovely, Ten Tables. Also, the water brought to the table was not cold- in fact it seemed hardly chilled at all. The silverware was cheap, said my mother, which takes away from how well it was cooked."

"This was our first experience at 10 tables, we were excited because we had heard such great things. We were disappointed by the limited menu. After we placed our order I received a whole fish, which was not described by the server that it would be a whole fish. The manager offered to fillet the fish; however, all they did was simply remove the skin and head and never once asked how the meal was after that. We were displeased with the entire experience."

"Ten Tables is a tiny gem in Cambridge. The service was excellent--the staff is attentive, warm and welcoming. The food was truly delightful--we did the four course tasting menu. The dishes were petite and flavorful--and varied (we had a delicious scallop, tender beef, and two desserts that we shared) . The tasting menu was a surprise so as each dish came out, it was explained. The surprise factor actually added to the experience. And the price was really delightul---$48 for the tasting menu (which can be made vegetarian for $36). I didn't have wine but my dining partner did and she enjoyed it. I appreciate that the restaurant has several parking spots -- helpful in Cambridge. Overall, a really lovely experience--I look forward to returning."

"The octopus and pate appetizers were fabulous, especially the octopus. And the bluefish was also wonderful. My husband's steak frites seemed a little off. The smell should be just as good as the flavor, and it just wasn't. The service was perfect, with care being taken to get us out to our concert on time and to make sure that substitutions to the meal were made to make it just right for my particular palate, rather than almost right. I'd go back."

"We enjoyed our meal but likely won't go back any time soon. We had two vegetarians in our party of 4 and choices were very limited for them--just one entree. Our table was right next to the service station--never a choice seat--and a bit annoying since we were among the first diners in the place and we had a reservation. And it felt like restaurant was trying to hurry us out after just over an hour--they cleared dishes before everyone had finished their desserts and brought our check while we were all stilling eating dessert. We're big Ten Tables in JP fans and I think we'll go there from now on. Food was good, however, and the plum tart was fabulous."

"Delicious, well-prepared food, service was superb! We were the first to arrive, and loved having the dining room to ourselves! By the time we finished, the room was full, and we felt that everyone could hear what we saying because we could hear everything everyone else was saying! The tables are very close together and the ceiling is quite low, and no adequate sound/noise control.

the food was good but not WOW. i had hake in a light clam broth with white beans. the taste was delicate, fresh and light, but not mind-blowing."
