Bella Aquila
Bella Aquila is a “ristorante romantico” with linens on the tables along with fresh flowers. The most beautiful patio in the entire Treasure Valley overlooks the North branch of the Boise River and is framed by two large rock fountains. Dress up and have a romantic dining experience with your special somebody or have a casual meal with friends or family. Private dining available for groups up to 70 people, inside or out (up to 40 in the private back room). Italian cuisine featuring house made pastas, sauces, breads and desserts prepared with the freshest local products available. Our Menu is a blend of traditional dishes from all over Italy as well as some twists and local flavors. We keep things interesting by offering seasonal, monthly and daily specials to highlight our culinary team’s imagination and skills. Our delicious food is complimented by a wine list that brings some of the best that Idaho, the Pacific Northwest, California and Italy offer.

"I requested an outdoor table next to the waterfall, when I made my reservation online with Open Table, and the friendly hostess seated us exactly where I requested without me saying a word. I also requested a surprise birthday cake online and the server brought it at the end of our meal, which was a big hit with my wife. We were very impressed that our two requests were honored without having to say anything, as the hostess and server were very professional and their attention to detail was great."

"The food and atmosphere are fine. I took my wife there for her birthday. Wanted to try someplace new. Made a reservation, and asked for staff to make her feel special for her day. I for one, don't care for birthdays, but my wife sure does. She wants to feel special. Not a single person acknowledge her birthday. No greeting, no little scoop of ice cream with a pathetic candle. No attempt. Pretty disappointing for a restaurant that appears to care about details."

"Sat outside close to the water fall and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. I had the seafood salad which was very enjoyable and a sweet white wine(thak you waitress for recommending) that made me appreciate even more the warm weather and being able to relax outside with the birds chirping and the sun shining! Thanks again BA never a disappointment."

"In an area where fine dining is hard to find, Bella Aquila is a real gem. Menu offers a good range of choices and the chef is competent in all areas. "There are a lot of great things about this restaurant, but there are things that are also a little disappointing. For instance, the appetizers we had (calamari and the crab cakes) were expensive and not worth the price. The crab cake had very little crab in it and was so over salted, it was not enjoyable. The calamari had a weird chemically after taste. Sauce provided with both items was not enough to share. The lamb shank was delicious. The tuna special was good, but not great. The chicken piccata, which was ordered by two of us at the table, was something I would not expect for a fine dining restaurant. It was more sweet than anything else, and very few capers. Skimpy sides.. Desserts (creme brulee and bread pudding) were delicious."

"Solid food choices with an Italian focus but the real draw is the patio dining along the river corridor. Pick a day with great weather and enjoy a lunch or dinner while watching people enjoy the river front pathway system. the park like setting of the patio has views of the river. Very relaxing"

"The eggplant in my eggplant parmesan was very un-ripe AND undercooked. It was, quite possibly, the worst meal I have ever had. There was pesto pasta served on the side and some of it was hardened, old, like it had been warmed up from the night before in a microwave. Tried my husbands cioppino which was pretty good. Clam chowder to start was okay. Bummer of a meal for me. They are not the "real" Italian deal."

"We eat here often and have never been disappointed. The daily specials are always outstanding. My wife hardly looks at the menu anymore, always preferring the special. One of the owners is usually present, the staff is stable and very friendly, and service is timely. The setting along the north channel of the Boise River is as pleasant as it gets. In our judgement one of the top restaurants in the Treasure Valley."

"We had a reservation (of course) and we sat at a table for two in what would normally be a hallway, but with the patio "mostly" closed they had put two tables between the door outside and the reception area. During our meal we had the bus boys getting new linens from the closets next to our table and while there was one group out on the patio, we had the doors behind me opening and closing regularly... not a very romantic setting. My wife's steak and vegies were cold when they arrived at our table. Food and drink service was slow, but the wait staff was very pleasant and professional."

"First - the server was great - very knowledgable about the menu and made decent recommendations. There just wasn't much that I was served that really bowled me over. For the price I expected it to be a little more unique. I had cheese tortellinj with sausage - and it tasted a little like a pasta version of biscuits & gravy. The dining room felt a little crowded because the tables seemed close together and the noise from the bar didn't make it easy to have a quiet conversation. The view of the river was nice - it might have better ambience in the spring when the patio is open. It was on my list to visit there for years now - and I was hoping for more."

"I and my wife went to Bella Aquila for Valentine's Day. On such a busy occasion (for the restaurant), we still received great service and attention from every member of the staff. The food was great, the service was awesome, and we had a great time!"

"My fiancee and I both enjoyed Bella Aquilla alot. Neither one of us had been there before. Now, of course, the comparison would be most like Gino's Italian Ristorante, and I can honestly say I love both places. Bella Aquilla because of it's location in Eagle, near the river, seems to attract a "yuppie" type of adult Eagle Elite crowd, intermixed with others. The overall price of the evening was somewhat on the high side, but to be expected. The drinks were good, the appetizer was good. Our waitress was solid. Now, the main course dinner was excellent, really great! My fiancee had the chicken and fettucine with a garlic and wine and white sauce and it was incredibly tasty! I had seafood pasta dish, also very, very good."

"My husband had chicken parmesan. He really liked the butter sauce on his pasta and the veggies were cooked to perfection. His chicken was delicious but portion was on the small side compared to other places he has ordered it. I had chicken alfredo and added mushroms. The chicken and mushrooms were plentiful and had great flavor, but the sauce was bland. we both agreed that the fresh pasta was great. The service was kind of disjointed. The server didn't know how to have flow with conversation. It felt awkward when she was at the table, but she was polite. The ambiance was perfect for a romatice valentines dinner. I have recommended it to several people already.I would like to come back when we could dine on the patio."

"We had a delightful time at our late afternoon lunch. The service was outstanding, attentive but not hovering. The salmon ravioli was very good. The server offered wine suggestions and samples. Quite romantic! Can't wait to go back!"
