Cotton features the cooking of award-winning chef/author/owner Jeffrey Paige. Located in Manchester, New Hampshire's Historic Millyard District, Cotton is known for exceptional food, friendly yet professional service, and an inviting, casual upscale atmosphere. It's the place the New York Times calls "hip". Both a classic neighborhood restaurant, named "One of the best neighborhood restaurants in the Northeast by Bon Appetit Magazine, and a destination for diners throughout central New England, Cotton features sophisticated and eclectic comfort food, an extensive wine list featuring over 40 wines by the glass and holds the distinct honor of "Best Martinis in New Hampshire" six years in a row. ***Cotton does not reserve tables on or take requests for the patio. "Cotton is an upscale restaurant offering modern food more on the trendy side. To start, they have a great list of house made cocktails, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Try the basil blueberry majito. The appetizers were also quite good, although the peanut chicken skewers were just average so I wouldn't order them again. Our group of 4 all enjoyed out entrees.
Really awesome outdoor space is available, so I would recommend sitting out there if you get the chance."

"Really like their seafood (scallop fries) and Goat steak. Very fresh food and tasty.Infact I have been there only two times so far ,but will go again as long as I am in Manchester.
The waiters are very friendly and cordial.My waitress Catherene needs a special remark for suggesting great food for me. I would ask for her next time.

"This is a very good/excellent restaurant! All five of us had something different so we had a good sampling from the menu. Everyone was very pleased with their dishes. The meatloaf was a winner "tasted like steak", and the lamb steak was great too! Over all the menu has a good variety, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We would all recommend Cotton to our friends."

"Admittedly we have not been to your restaurant for a couple of years, no reason.
A bit tired of the place we go to here in Concord we decided to come down the other night.
We had forgotten how much we enjoyed your facility, the atmosphere, the service and the food are all top notch.
The prices are well within reason for the amount of food provided, although we didn't leave room for desert.
Safe to say it will not be long until our return trip, look forward to seeing you soon!

"With the only flaws(which are pretty minor) being that the Hostess was a little rude and the waiter was very disinterested in us, the food was excellent. The drinks were good and strong, and everything from the salads to the apps to the main course and then the desert was excellent. The Rhode Island Calamari was done well, I got the Grilled lamb which was cooked perfectly(the best Medium Rare i've probably seen going out) and the Bananas Fosters Bread Pudding was flavorful and done pretty well. All and all, I will be dining here again and I recommend giving it a chance if you're in the area."

"The food as always was very good. The way some of the seating is set up, you do feel like you are lined up in a cafeteria. We felt our server was dealing with too many tables. She was always moving and taking care of someone, but we waited a long time for her to check back and too get the bill. We opted not to stay for dessert."

"My husband and I had our 2nd wedding anniversary this weekend. The typical gift for the 2nd year is Cotton. We thought it would be a fun idea to go to a place named Cotton instead. It was a fantastic choice! From the moment we walked in we were thrilled! The decor was lovely and we were greeted warmly. I had ordered flowers to be delivered to the restaurant and they were on the table when we arrived. Our server, Anthony, was spot on! He was attentive and helpful, with a wonderful table side manner. He even brought us champagne for the special occasion. The food was delicious and fresh. I think I could have had two servings of the crab cakes they were so good! Overall the night was wonderful and we will be back!"

"My wife and I first went to Cotton about 10 years ago. And while it's menu seem to have lost some of it's fusion flare the quality of your meal and the service are exceptional.
We always start with the Pot Stickers as they are my wife's favorite. These mini pork dumplings are pan seared, not deep fried, and are delicious."

"We've been raving about our experience since visiting for our 5 year anniversary. Service and food were both excellent. Possibly the best steak I've ever had! The turkey schnitzel was a creative and delicious entree as well. Servers know the menu very well and are courteous and helpful but not stuffy or pushy.

"Whenever someone from out of town asks me where to go in Manchester, I recommend Cotton, I always have a great meal there. Nice atmosphere, and plenty of parking. I don't think there's a better value around, and I like that they change the menu up, but always have a few staples they keep - gotta love that meatloaf during the cold weather. Some of of my friends that I was with last week had never been there, and all were really pleased."

"Food and service really great. Menu offered many choices - most anyone could find something they liked. We had steaks , both perfectly cooked. They had an excellent martini and cocktail list - lots of unique offerings.
Regarding wine, we found the list to be a bit small. most of the wine was primarily from Californi, not many european offerings. We still were able to find something we liked, just figured I'd mention it in case there are those of you out there that are looking for a more comprehensive wine list.
The seats were a bit close so not sure if it's a great 'romantic' destination. They have an outside patio that looks like it's great once the weather warms up.

"Delicious food, fantastic service, and well-crafted cocktails. What more can you ask for? As usual, the lamb was done to perfection. The staff is very nice about making alterations/substitutions, as well. The chocolate brownie sundae was decadent and balanced - and scrumptious. This restaurant was perfect for a double date before a big night out at a gala - vibrant enough to have a fun atmosphere but quiet enough to allow for an intimate dinner and non-shouting conversation."

"My mother, daughter, and son-in-law had our Easter dinner here. The food was outstanding, especially the baked goat cheese appetizer and my turkey schnitzel entree. Our server was also the bartender, and she managed to do both in a very efficient manner (plus, she never lost her smile). I highly recommend Cotton if you live in, or plan to visit, the Manchester NH area."

"We chose Cotton for our anniversary dinner based on the article that appeared in NH Home. I am so glad we did. The nearly 60 minute drive was well worth the food and ambiance we found. Once we figured out the parking, Peaches seated us quickly and our waiter arrived shortly after. Our drinks were delicious (I highly recommend Cabin Fever) as was the Chicken Satay. Our dinners consisted of the butternut squash ravioli and the bistro steak. First, the ravioli actually tasted like squash. The sauce was delicious as well. The bistro steak was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were to die for. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding. Good thing I have the recipe for it from NH Home!"

"Overall good place however the menu hasn't changed since the restaurant opened many years ago. Time for an updated menu. Other than that the food was decent, service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was energetic.
I'll be back when the menu changes, or I get a craving for the awesome sweet/spicy popcorn shrimp."

"My visit to Cotton was no more than average. I had actually been there recently and had a less than pleasant visit, so I was hoping this would make up for it. Just like last time, the food was lukewarm at best upon arriving at our table and the vegetables on the plate did not seem very fresh. I must say that I was disappointed and will likely not be returning."

"Been there a number of times and it has become a favorite in the area. The staff went tout of the way to make my daughters 18th birthday special. Menu and the drinks are ample and tasty. Cheesecake was fantastic!"

"It was our first time there and we were looking forward to it. The bar wasnt very busy, however we waited 5 minutes to get the bar cleared for us to order. They were not very friendly. We tried to be extra nice as we usually do, but got short 1 word answers. We went to eat in the dining and it was a completly different story. Great service with a smile. Food was Very good also. We enjoy sitting at the bar so we are questioing our return."

"Food was good, not remarkably so. Ambiance was just like a chain restaurant; not unique in any way. Service was slow, inattentive, and disappointing. It was okay, but no better than that. I'd return if I happened to be close by anyway, but it's not a destination I'd plan for. There was nothing bad about it, just nothing particularly good or memorable. Overpriced for the experience it offers."
