"Went to Serpas for brunch on Fathers Day. Our first visit to this restaurant - excellent place, will go again to try other things from the menu. Food is truly 5 stars. Everything we ordered was very delicious. Stayed outside - nothing special, but quiet and spacious. From the quick look inside, it seemed very pleasant. Service was good and timely in a rather busy day; it was a nice touch that the owner checked personally every table to make sure everyone is happy with the food. Definitely recommended."

"Great place! We enjoyed a delicious meal and fabulous cocktails along with great service! Starters: Eggplant hushpuppies and grilled octopus; both full of flavor but the octopus was exceptional! Cocktails: "The Church Lady" and a "Sayonara". Both wonderful Summer drinks, but especially enjoyed "The Church Lady"; the cucumber and the grapefruit with the St. Germain was pure refreshment! Entree's: Husband had the duck and said it was delicious. I ordered the soft shell crab, it was, ...... Summer on a plate! The flavors were wonderful, and it was so pretty, I took a picture! Dessert: Finished a fantastic meal with the dark chocolate creme' caramel, a tawny port, and beignets. Wow! This was a memorable meal, we will be back!"

"This was my second visit to Serpas. I sat at the bar in full view of the kitchen. Flawless execution by the Kitchen Floor manager. The food presentation was very nice, movement by the staff was good. The food taste good and look good. The staff were not overly attentive to the point of being bothersome, just right on point. My favorite appetizer, fried oysters. My favorite desserts, chocolate nutella cake and beignets w/ strawberry pudding, um, um, good. I love this place."

"Had the most amazing dining experience to date when I went to ATL to meet my daughter, her boyfriend, and her twin sister for a weekend. I cannot begin to describe the "experience" I had when I took a bite of the "pigs in a blanket"-not to be missed. Then,for the main course, I had the seared snapper-UNBELIEVABLE-another had the trout, stuffed chicken, and scallops-all two thumbs up in approval. I depended on our server, I believe his name was Beachers? Definitely worth asking for his service-undeniably the most attentive and knowledgable I have ever encountered in my foodie trek...his recommendation of the tomato tart was definitely a winner!!! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable evening!"

"This is my fifth or sixth visit to Serpas and as usual the food and ambience was fabulous!! This was my second time having brunch and the creole omelette was amazing! A couple of my friends had the shrimp and scallops with grits and they were extremely pleased. We also shared an order of the beignets and they will change your life! They are better than Cafe Dumond in New Orleans! I can't wait to go back!"

"Eggplant hushpuppies were flavorless and the blue cheese sauce was overused on other menu items like the fried oysters which it completely overpowered. Tuna tartare was good and probably the best appetizer on the menu. Veal chop presentation was excellent, but meat was really under done and tough. Blue cheese overdone in the potatoes . Lemon bombe is the way to go on desert. Bread pudding was not that great and should be skipped for something else.The most memorable part of our meal was our excellent server, who was very engaging and knowledgable on the menu and was attentive the whole meal. The old fourth ward is not exactly the best neighborhood, but this restaurant represents part of the revival that they are working on for the area."

"I had high hopes for my Serpas visit. The tuna tartar was very nice. My oysters eggs benedict was fine, but nothing to write home about. The shrimp in my husband's creole omelet was "off," which detracted from an otherwise good dish. The meager cocktail offerings were unimaginative (though I guess I could have tried to order something off-menu). All that being said, what disappointed me the most about Serpas was the service. It was sloooow. We waited an eternity for everything with no explanations or apologies offered. Our server rarely stopped by to check on us, nor did she EVEN ONCE acknowledge the special dietary request attached to our reservation. We worked that out on our own, but really? We shouldn't have had to."

"We had a party of 3. We got sat at 6:30, it was pretty empty, 2 more tables, plus a few at the bar. Appz came in timely, but we did have to wait an hour for all our meals, which were ordered med-rare! It was obvious a surge of mother's day groups came in, so

"I've had a few different fish dishes at Serpas and they were all very nice. The tuna tartare app is very good. Scallops are free of grit and seasoned and cook with precision. Fish special never fails. However, the service has been lackluster at times. When pointed out to the manager, he makes up for it but it shouldn't happen as often as it does. And...well...the acoustics. It's not the fault of the servers, the kitchen or the manager - but it is hard to have a conversation. This place is great for younger groups of people who are tolerant of having to talk louder but I would not rec this for anyone with hearing issues or your grandparents."

"Because we are limited to the number of characters we can use the long and short of it is we had a horrible service experience where our waitress forgot to place our order with the kitchen. What is worse, she ignored us until the bottle of wine we purchased was long gone and we had to flag her down to remind her of our order. Unacceptable. After we ate the manager came by and he behaved so indifferent we would have been better off speaking to a brick wall. Very unacceptable. We will not be returning."

"I visited Serpas for the first time and actually fell in love! The ambiance and food were both great! We had the salmon chips and two of the cheeses as appetizers. I swear I wanted more of those salmon chips...so delish! The stuffed trout was also great, as well as the steak. And don't mention the bread pudding desert...yum yum YUM! Definitely will be a staple on my list of restaurants to visit frequently."

"Serpas has been a welcomed addition to the neighborhood restaurant scene ever since they opened. A great space, an eclectic cleintele, a seasonal menu, and an energetic staff all contribute to a great experinece. The tuna tartare is a must have along with the fried oysters as appetizers. I enjoyed a veal porterhouse that was cooked to perfection along with a Santa Barbara county pinot noir (a steal at $36 a bottle). These are the reasons I keep coming back. My only suggestion would be to temper the noise a bit. When it gets crowded the noise inhibits conversation."

"Very nice menu with a selection that met the diverse tastes of everyone in our party. Everything was perfection - the food is elegant without being pretentious or overdone. We had a combination of appetizers and entrees - mussels, brioche, fried calamari, shrimp over creamed corn, crab & cream cheese fritters, eggplant fritters and roast duck. The Lemon Bombe was our favorite dessert, though the homemade ice cream and the bread pudding were also very nice. Excellent service and comfortable atmosphere."

"This was our first time there. The Waitress was wonderful and did an awesome job of helping me decide what to order. Everything we ordered was outstanding. We went for brunch and now can't wait to return for another brunch and to try out the dinner menu. I highly recommend Serpa's."

"I live in Inman park and have been dining at Serpas since they've opened it's a comfy chic neighborhood spot that has outdoor seating which is great during this time of year. However, I remain to have great service. My waiters either forget parts of my order or they barely come back to the table to check to see if we need anything after we place our order. The service hsa made me lessen my visits as it is an annoyance especially when you really like the food and want to remain a regular. But I can never complain about the food. I reccomend going on an off night or around happy hour time to avoid the brunch crowd on Sunday's."

"I have experienced Chef Scott's other restaurants and Serpas is by far his best so far. The flash fried oysters are an excellent standards I was happy to see be brought with him. The smoked salmon chips were something new that would have again and the pork chop was excellent.
The staff was friendly and attentive . I look forward to my next visit to Serpas"

"The food was sublime. Every bite was special & delicious. Clearly a genius is at work in the kitchen. The service was glacially slow & seating very cramped & uncomfortable. I spent most of my meal being bumped & jarred & having plates of food held over my head as wait staff got clogged up waiting for each other to pass single file by me. I would strongly suggest paring down the number of seats to give diners a little breathing room. But the food was superlative & I plan to go back. I would not take a group or plan to have a special occasion there though because of the lack of comfort. I might be more likely to try some appetizers at the bar next time. I found that area much more gracious while I was waiting for my reservation to be seated."

"This was our first visit to Serpas and what a pleasant surprise! My mom and I were dining to celebrate my birthday and we asked the server for recommendations, which were spot on! We enjoyed the tuna tartar appetizer and then each of us had a "drink" which was great. We also loved the trout and scallops which were both to die for! We look forward to returning again soon."

"My only complaint would be the COLD metal chairs. We had the fried oysters to start - OMG! They were so good! Next was Venison for me and sea bass for my date. Both were mild and delicious. Beniets (sp?) for dessert were wonderful!"
