"A friend recommended Stone Brewery for my husband's 32nd birthday. It was a perfect suggestion!! The ambiance of Stone Brewery was fun and modern with beautiful lush greenery, fountains, and a koi pond. Our server was phenomenal - friendly and informative. We found out that all of the food they serve is grown organically on site and prepared fresh for each meal. We were very impressed. My husband's birthday dining experience was made complete with a complimentary birthday beer float. It was brilliant and creative - definitely a new favorite."

"I love the impressive beer selection from local San Diego brewerys as well as a careful selection from other areas. You will definitly find something you like and the staff are more than happy to help you find what you are looking for. The food is good but not steller but the beautiful outdoor gardens, lighting and right music volume level, along witht the great beers, make this place a pleasure to dine at."

"Stone Brewery is one of my family's favorite restaurants. We always take out-of-town guests who appreciate good food and beer to Stone Brewery. The outdoor dining area is fantastic, with beautiful scenery. Additionally, the food is a great, eclectic blend of options that is sure to have something for everyone. Stone even has a menu for kids with great options for children, and the staff never 'annoyed' by the fact you brought your children."

"We absolutely love Stone Bistro & Gardens...great outdoor dining space and Stone beers and natural food. But yesterday was the second time on a holiday (Mother's Day) when they just couldn't keep up. Waited almost an hour from ordering to receiving entrees...and two of them were cold when we got them. It seems that they know the kitchen can't keep up, because there were many empty tables, yet the hostess was quoting an hour wait. Apparently they know not to fill every table, but even the 3/4 full dining area was too much for the kitchen. The food is always great, but the wait and cooled food really took away from the experience. I would stay away on holidays or other busy periods."

"Crowded & loud which is expected of a popular brewery. We had Hummus,Ceviche,Duck Tacos,Bruschetta BLT,&Wild Boar. I tried everything & most of it was amazing, all but the hummus which was bland. The the ceviche was so good my boyfriend who hates fish enjoyed it. The duck was tender. The beer cheese was to die for. I even fell in love with my iced tea. The service was horrible. It was busy but it seemed to me that there was plenty of staff who all had time to talk & laugh with each other but when it came to bringing drinks, taking our order, & getting our check to us it took an annoying amount of time. I will be back because I do not believe my taste buds should suffer due to bad service. I wish I could tip the cooks instead."

"Went there for lunch...got a lovely table outside...patio area is beautiful. Waitress was very helpful and attentive. Huge selection of beers. They have an interesting menu...we ordered the Wild Boar Korean BBQ sandwich served with their house-made kimchi...very good! I would definitely go back!"

"Amazing food --- for appetizers, try the pretzel with cheese and the housemade hummus. Simply delicious. The pork chop is fantastic as is the Chicken Schnitzel, the talapia and the sausage platter. My father got the mushroom penne pasta and, not being a mushroom fan, I thought I would not like it but it was simply wonderful. Dessert selection is sub par compared to the rest of the experience but that is only due to a lack of options (seemingly). Once we ordered and the brownie came out...WOW. Amazing!
Gorgeous outside experience with a very tasteful decor inside. Best part....THE BEER! Stone is simply delicious and they have a VAST list from other breweries. Get the specific to that location only Stone's though...you'll thank me later"

"Went here for my brother's bachelor party. No problems with our reservation, we were seated right on time. First thing I noticed that even though it was a large room and filled to capacity I could still have a conversation with the other 5 people at my table without shouting. In other words, whoever treated the room acoustically did a tremendous job.
It goes without saying that the beer was excellent.
Everyone seemed quite satisfied with their entrees as well. I had the Sea Bass, loved it, but the chicken schnitzel was looking pretty good as well. We had some appetizers, the quail and boar ribs and highly recommend both.
Servers were professional and were there when we needed them."

"I took my boyfriend here for his 40th birthday. He had never been and we had a great time. The food and ambience here are fabulous and, even with lots of alcohol flowing, it doesn't have a "bar" feel. There was a wedding going on but it still had a cozy feel. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone that lives in the area. It is a bit of a trip for those outside Escondido especially if you want to enjoy the amazing beer selection."

"The waiter was very nice and friendly. However, it took 45 minutes to get our food (french toast!). And our orders did not come as we asked. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food is mediocre. I would not come back for brunch. I may give it one more try before crossing it off my list."

"Really great food, beer, and ambiance. However, when I walked up and gave the hostess my name for our reservation she gave me attitude, asked what my name was, I told her, she did not listen, asked me again, then with an attitude asked me to come back up in 20 minutes. She did not tell me that I would get a text letting me know our table was ready. When we got the test, the person who took us to our table only had 3 menus, we had 4 in our party, and never brought back the other menu, DUH! Then it took forever to get our drinks, especially my husbands beer. We ordered the pretzels as a appetizer, they are my favorite, they had no salt on them. It was really disappointing. For the amount we spent, I would expect much better service."

"My husband calls this Brewpub "Beer Mecca", it truly fits his claim. This is truly an amazing dining experience. The location is out of the way, but people still know how to find it. Thank goodness for them being on Opentable so I could make a reservation well in advance. It is a good thing, the restaurant was packed and all five of us just sailed in! Food was good, Beer was Great, Service was Incredible! We enjoyed our visit as much as my husband enjoys the Stone Brews!"

"Nice food, but very expensive. The waitress wasn't very attentive, and there were some rowdy groups near us that added to the ambiance, for better or worse. We sat outside, and that was very nice, though the patio wasn't level where we were sitting so I felt like I was going to capsize a couple times. After eating, we walked around the lovely gardens and chilled for a while, which was a nice bonus. Will go back again, despite the drawbacks."

"Saturday night reservation was about 30 minutes late seating. About 40-hr wait for main about 30 minutes for appetizer from when we sat (and waters we ordered). Steak wasn't great but other items were very good.
Some of the poor service was I think employees. Overall we were there about 3hrs for dinner (from when we arrived and left for dinner). We had a party of 4. I wouldn't take my kids here especially on a Saturday night
This isn't a quiet intimate affair its boisterous and crowded"

"Great place to spend a day and relax with some friends and some good beer! Food was awesome! This place rocks. I recommend talking to the waiters about the different beers if it is your first time here. Start easy and work your way up to stongers Beers.

"Could use more outdoor experience. When looking at pictures I thought the garden was much larger. I realize this could be a much larger liability, but I think it would greatly improve the experience if the 'beer garden' was much more expansive and included a much larger area: Maybe some actual trails or larger fields. There is a lot of land in the surrounding area to expand upon. Other than that the garden itself is fantastic and the beer is some of the best in the country."

"I write this review with a touch of bittersweet. Personally I love this place. I've been here about a half dozen times and every time has been amazing. This time for no less, except in one place: the service. Neil seemed to never come over. He never cleared our plates or empty beer glasses. I had to call over Chris, a water server, to help us out because Neil fell short of his duty.
I won't go on because I do love this place. Food is superb. The beer is some of the best in the world. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. So I would recommend everyone to come to Stone Brewery because it has always been nothing short of amazing and one mishap is not nearly enough to keep me away."

"I used open table to make a reservation for two, I arrived a few minutes early and checked in at the desk. I waited for 30 minutes watching parties arrive and be seated. Eventually the lobby was clear and many tables were available through out the restaurant. The three hostesses were all chatting at the front so I went up to ask when my half hour old reservation would be filled. It seemed they had just forgotten about us and I was then seated right away. The rest of the dining experience was lovely. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, the food was outstanding. The Beer list as always was wonderful, my only problem was deciding which new beer to try."
