"Bartender was great, very attentive, but the waitstaff was rather slow. This would have been understandable on a busy night, but it was quiet. Waiter was nice but somewhat inattentive. Saw other tables with bread plates but none on ours. Spent a long time waiting once seated and drink orders taken. Meals came out in stages with some of us finishing when other meals arrived. Overall, food was good. Crab dip was great, overal meals fine. Husband's steak was a tad overdone and salty. Fish and chips were very good, and dessert was decadent. Past reviewers dinged it on drink prices but we felt these weren't out of line. Overall, it was positive but the service made us question whether to go back if we are short on time or if it is busy."

"We're seated outside; beautiful view of the golf course. Lovely evening. Our anniversary. On each table were placards that said that when in the dining area, children were to be at the tables, not beyond the cords marking off the golf course. Instead, children running all over! Somersaults on the grass; running behind our chairs, through the flower beds. It seemed normal to everyone else. Not what I expected with the prices. Food was fine; service was friendly and accommodating, but parental controls seemed to be out the window. The kids were having a ball and that was kind of sweet to see, but running behind our chairs? Maybe the members of the club are so used to being there that it's like home....but not one I'd visit again."

"The food was well prepared. The service was disappointing. Our young waiter either did not care about us or it seemed had not had any training in how to wait on a table! Hopefully he will get some guidance! Overall, we enjoyed our friends, the view and the food. We have had lunch here before and always enjoyed the food and service."

"We dined on the newly expanded outdoor patio on a 70-degree spring day; brilliant sun, not a cloud in the sky, and the most fabulous views in southern Chester County. How could we not enjoy the meal? (Well, one of us thought the salmon sliders were way too bland and the rolls were mediocre. But the other two thought our meals were quite good.)
Hartefeld has had a spotty history with the quality of their food. But whoever is the new chef -- hats off! Over the past several months I've had several very, very good lunches. Sorry, haven't been there for dinner, but with the later sunsets, we'll be visiting the patio for outdoor dinners as well. We have also heard rave reviews of their Sunday Brunch."

"Perfect place for Sunday brunch with the family. Nice selection on the buffet for both us and the kids. We get such GREAT Service each time we go to brunch from our server, very personable and informative, but has never been abtrusive ! The pub room is very relaxed for our family, we prefer it over the more formal sitting areas."

"The Grille has the most beautiful golf course view, comfortable seating and an attentive staff. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. I had a crab appetizer that was dry crab meat, not necessarily the freshest, on crostini, with a slice of avocado and a chili (read spicy) cocktail sauce on the side. Almost inedible. The caesar salad was not remarkable. The onion soup was not hot, and the creme brulee was average."

"I would recommend the place for those who aren't concerned with loud noise. For those hard of hearing, it was difficult. Our only complaint was we were first seated at a poor table when most of the tables were empty."
