"A piano-player who played continuously and too loudly dampened what would a nearly perfect birthday dinner party. We initially were seated very close to the pianist but recognized that conversing there would be next to impossible and were re-seated elsewhere, as far as possible away from the piano. It still interfered with our conversation. Otherwise, the food, service ambiance, etc., was everything we expected and up to Pier 45's good reputation."

"Our second time there, this time inside dining. We like it, but the entrees are pricy and to justify that price we think the ala carte is unnecessary. A veggie, and /or potato and a salad would make the whole experience perfect. Overall, we love it there and will return. We also liked your winter special. We may not have come otherwise, but would if there were winter specuials regularly in the future."

"The food was fantastic, everything was brought to our nice and hot. not too hot,like they had nuked(which I hate). Fresh and aromatic. I had the salmon from the cold rush menu. THE BEST I have ever had. I can't believe this place isn't sooo crowded. The bar tender was a gem,as was our waitress. The wine list is very nice. This is my favorite place to go to.

"I've been to Pier 45 4 times now. My first three were far better than my Valentine's Eve visit last weekend. Unfortunately, like many other restaurants, they offered a limited menu, and the quality of the food was not as good as I've had in the past. In addition, we asked for a recommendation for one of the two bottles of wine we ordered and the suggested white wine was very poor in our opinion. Finally, when it came time for dessert, we only had three choices, and the one most of us wanted was completely sold out (and it was still pretty early when we were ready for dessert). THat was disappointing. That said, since I know that this evening was not representative of the experience I've had in the past, I will go back."

"The location is nice and probably is even better in the warmer weather. The staff was pleasant and attentive, so thumbs up for the staff, especially the valet parking guys. The decor was colorful and was well put together from the first step into the restaurant area. The only issue we had was on the price and quantity of the meals. The prime rib was good, but about $5-$6 more than what I would have expected. The scallops were very pricy for what you got. They were very good, but probably 2x the price for what you got. The presentation was nice, but for the amount of $ that we paid it left us a bit disappointed. And, the desserts were lacking in selections, at least on the night that we went."

"This was our first visit to Pier 45, and we were very pleasantly surprised! The food, though a bit pricey, was outstanding. Our server was attentive and friendly, as were any other staff we encountered. We will absolutely dine there again! The portions, served a la carte, we very generous."

"This was my second visit to Pier 45, we went for the buy one get one free entree special. There is a special menu and if you purchase one entree you get the second one off the main menu free. We ordered two dinners off the special menu and two off the regular menu. The food was okay, but not great. The veal was the best choice. Our server started out very attentive, but as the evening went on she was clearly overwhelmed and too busy to check on us, refill drinks, or clear our plates. We skipped dessert because we waited sooo long for her to come back to us. I do love the ambience and the decor, it is pretty in the dining area, and the patio is great during the summer. Just mediocre food for the price and poor service."
