Tavolino - Foxborough
Tavolino is a casual-upscale restaurant serving classic and contemporary Italian dishes. We have twenty gourmet pizzas with a pizza bar at which you can sit as our professional staff perfects their creations. Our wine list has over 150 hand picked selections, seventeen of which are available by the glass. We have a full bar where we invite guests to enjoy all items on our lunch and dinner menus. Our cafe opens at 8:00am daily serving specialty coffee and espresso beverages. We also offer many pastries baked in our hearth ovens.

"What I like about Tavolino's is that the food is reliably real and fresh and I was not disappointed this time in that regard. The Spinach Salad had a perfect balance of flavors - not too vinegary or too sweet - and the warm dressing gave the spinach just the slightest wilt which was perfect. My husband got crab cakes as an appetizer and scallops for his main course - both were delicious. My entree was ok but the Carbonara was not at all what I have come to expect when I order this dish. Instead of the creamy parmesan/romanao sauce I was craving, this one had an earthy flavor and was all mushrooms. That's all I tasted. There were hardly any peas/bacon. In my mind Carbonara is Carbonara and this one just wasn't what I wanted to eat..."

"Everything we ate was amazing! I had one of the best salads ever. It was a special with goat cheese, fresh peaches, hazelnuts, mixed greens and a strawberry vinaigrette. Unreal! The calamari was delicious and very tender. The grilled salmon was tasty too. Crispy on the edges, which I like. My husband enjoyed his filet. Yum!"

"I always love Tavolino for its food and great drinks. I enjoyed a Cosmo made to my order specificities along with a spinach and pear salad. The pizza we ordered had fig, prosciutto, and a balsamic drizzle - delicious!! Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and the service was great. Our table was ready upon our arrival."

"It is unusual to find a restaurant that does a wide variety of food well. Tavolino. I have been here many times and have always been pleased. Last night I ate the chicken wings, (always have them as they are very good) followed by pizza. At other time I have had steaks, pasta and seafood and always got a great meal. They take reservations on game days so i like to book a table for 8 and come a couple hours before kickoff. The great menu allows my guests great flexibility to order what they want. Cost is very reasonable to boot."

"We go to Tavolinos often and the food is always great. This past visit we wanted to sit outside and specifically requested that when we made the reservation but when we arrived the staff was unable to execute our request which was very disappointing. The biggest issue of all was the hostess did not even make an effort to sit us outside and her attitude was terrible. Ive never had a bad experience and will return but I thought it should be mentioned.
Our waiter this past time was outstanding as was his trainee!"

"I have eaten at Tavolino's before and loved it, but it was disappointing this time. It was cold in the restaurant and we asked them to turn down the air conditioner, it didn't happen. The service was very slow even though they weren't really busy. Lunch took about 1 1/2 hours and it was not due to us talking. Good food, but the kitchen was slow. If it was my first time I wouldn't rush back. It must have been an off day."

"We've eaten here several times before but this time were disappointed. Our reservations were after a sports event and they were busy when we got there. After waiting 15 minutes, and seeing empty tables around, we were told that the table "with our name" was just leaving. First I've heard that they designate a specific table for a reservation. Our waiter was pleasant, but I suspect he forgot to put in the order, or the kitchen lost it, because he came back after a while to "confirm" our order, and then we waited quite a while after that for the food. We ended up finishing and leaving at 9:30, for a 7:00 pm reservation, and it wasn't because we were having a leisurely meal. I think we'll try another place for our next time there."

"We were seated next to an extremely noisy party of four, but fortunately they left when our food arrived. One of our pizzas was burnt and we sent it back. It was delicious when we got another. The drinks are pricey, $10.95 for the drink special. Our tab was &136 for 6 drinks, 3 small salads, and 2 pizzas."

"We had Kerry as our server for the first time and she was great!! Great service with an awesome smile and attitude!! Steak tip and bacon/gorgonzola risotto was AMAZING. Both the watermelon infused tequila and gin limoncello/lemonade cocktails were DELICIOUS and refreshing!!! Tom, Alan & the Tavolino gang always make us feel so welcome!!"

"Had a wonderful experience despite it being busy. Tough for bartenders with such a crowd, but well worth the wait for the drinks. Exceptional bartender as well as our waiter. They treat you like royalty. Food was delicious."

"Vibrant nite at Tav's! Ashley took care of us amazingly as usual with her awesome smile and attentive service! Surf & turf risotto special was delicious as were our Ribeye entrees which melted in our mouths! However, Mac & Cheese side was extremely salty to where we couldn't eat it and broccoli rabe was bitter/ almost sour. Amaro digestif was delicious as well as the very yummy Caramel Capuccino martini. Tom, Alan and the Friday night crew always outdo themselves-- customers are #1, along with delicious food and amazing service!! Another great Friday at Tav's!"

"When we sat down it took about 25 minutes for someone to give us water. I am not much for complaining but even I thought that was a little ridiculous, especially when there were only three tables sat in our section. There were many empty tables in the restaurant and tons of waiters running around but none stopped. They all laughed a joked with each other and ignored customers waiting to be helped. After a very long wait a very nice waitress came over and said she would just take this section even though it wasn't hers, (maybe someone quit?) She was very attentive from that point forward and served us in a timely manner. The food was great."

"This is a great restaurant. The food is really excellent. Better than average, with an extra flair. I was recently dissapointed in the length of time it took to get our food on our recent visit. I think there may have been a problem in the kitchen. The staff were very nice and attentive, but lunch took forever, more than a 30 minute wait probably 45 min wait between appetizer and main entrees. The outdoor seating is very pleasant. We will try again, hoping that it was a one time problem."

"My wife and I went on a Saturday night. It was busy and loud. We were given a small, very small, table, which was nice and cozy though complicated with an appetizer and drinks. We had the nachos (which was like a flatbread pizza with marinara sauce for dipping). It was good the first few bites, but they didn't layer the nachos so all of the cheese was ontop, it said olives, we counted 4. We followed this with Veal Saltimbocca and a bacon scallop pizza. PIzza was amazing. Veal was soggy, not fried right, without any sauce for the pasta. Perfect restaurant for pizza and drinks only, wouldn't bother going for any other food."

"Tom, Alan & staff always make us feel at home & part of the Tavolino family! Ashley was attentive, friendly & amazing as always!! The Huckleberry cocktail was yummy. The Illy Espresso Ribs special was TO DIE FOR-- melt in your mouth tender, delicious beyond belief, & needs to be on the menu as an app/dinner option!! We thoroughly enjoyed their finger-licking goodness! The arugula/shrimp salad was light and tasty! The Scallops entree was absolutely delicious & my husband LOVES the Lamb Lollipops entree & couldn't be more pleased to have it on the menu! The Grapefruit curd/meringue tart special was very yummy & light, the shell itself was superb, and was just a perfect ending to our amazing meal. Can't wait to try what's next at Tav's!!!"

"Food is great here. So many pizza options - thin-crust. Delicious & creative. Other entree options as well - but we stick with the pizza as they're soooo good. Our favorites are Meat Lovers Pizza & Mediterranean Chicken (comes with salad on top). DELISH! Hopefully they'll have a wine or beer dinner soon!!!"

"We took my mom for Mother's Day since she had never been to patriots place. We loved it, they had a great menu Mother's Day. I had the lobster mac and cheese and it was LOADED with lobster! Service was super fast as well.
We did have a table towards the front and next to it was an opening that was in front of the door so we kept getting hit with a cold breeze but other than that we had a great time, would definitely go back!"

"This was the third time we've been to Tavolino. On the face of it, it is a beautiful space and the menu is intriguing and it's in Patriot Place. But at the end of the day the food is kind of average for the prices they charge. And most of all, the wait staff and hostess staff are what brings the place down. Most of the service staff seem to be annoyed that this is the job they have. The hostess when we arrived looked angry and seemed indifferent as she seated us. On this visit, the server was actually a nice guy, though he felt compelled to tell us he was tired. But the other two times we were here, the servers were indifferent at best, but closer to rude. Not going back again."

"we had reservations for Mother's Day, which was a good thing - when we checked in we overheard that a walk in party couldn't be seated until 8pm and it was just after 2! We were seated immediately and the service was good. The menu had a few special brunch items for the special day, that were different, but very good. My son had the Wild Boar Hash, and I had an italian style egg dish that was tasty and just the right amount. Dad had to have his pizza! Ive been there before and will go back again."

"OMG - the Gluten Free pizza was de-lish! Made with 100% rice flour and purchased from Canada.. the crust was pretty good. There are so many options for pizza flavors that there is something for everyone. Plus a bonus choice of two gluten free beers. Yeah!"

"This was suppose to be a night out some place different and nicer that our usual haunts in local, neighborhood places. The pictures looked nice, the menu looked good and I expected a nice, quiet , relaxing dinner. The food was excellent and the portions great. Our waitress Jill was wonderful. BUT the noise level was so loud we could not have a conversation."

"We recently enjoyed dinner with another couple at Tavolino's before attending a movie. The service was superb! The gourmet pizza was wonderful. We only wished that there were more portobello mushrooms on the pizza. The fried calamari appetizer was just about the best we'd ever had."

"Last time we went it was quite good, however last Saturday evening it was very disappointing! Calamari was over-fried and dry...couldn't tell the cherry peppers from the calamari. Potato encrusted Cod was tasteless and the potato augratin slice was undercooked ie hard to even cut with a knife. Skipped desert. Might give it another shot but for pizza and maybe the bolognaise pasta dish(pretty good last time) only."

"The service was very good from the time we sat down until the time we paid the bill. We had a member in our party who was lactose intolerant and ordered a cheese free pizza which came with a little cheese on it and the waiter without question took it back and ordered another one immediately. The cocktail list is extensive and the drinks were very good. We will be going back."

"I had a NY Stip steak that was far above my expectations; compliments to the chef on the preparation and presentation. The food and drink are superb and the server you will find is quite knowledgeable about the fare and helpful in ensuring that the order is to your liking. "We had Harrison as our server who was super as usual! Arancione drink special was very yummy and refreshing. Special wild boar and risotto appetizer was very delicious. "Used to love Tavalino's and counted on it for a good experience. the host staff convey a bit of a snobbish attitude (it's been the same two our past three visits so it wasn't a fluke), and this time both our meals (salmon, pork) came out mostly uncooked. the waitress forgot our bread (we saw her recognize her oversight and bread came shortly after), and we were in the loud section.
In the past, we've been in the quiet section near the back and have had a fantastic waiter, and there aren't many options in the area, but they seem to think that they're better than they are lately."

"I had a fabulous time at Tavolino when I went for dinner with a few friends. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced (as well as the wine.) I had a great server named Casey who made our experience that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Tavolino and am looking forward to the next time I can go back and try a new pizza. Did I mention they have the most interesting and delicious combinations of pizza I've ever seen and I guarantee there isn't a bad one on the menu. I don't normally write reviews, but I had such a positive experience, I had to share. I may have even found my new favorite dinner spot! :)"

"This is the second time I had been to Tavolino's. The entrees were good-the flavors were on target but we loved the antipasta appetizer last time-very disappointed this time. I made a reservation far in advance for 6 people. We were 6 adults (44 years and up) and were put in the section with families with young children and we were shoved into a booth making it difficult for people to hear each other. There were open tables the entire time so there is no excuse. Also, older folks should be offered chairs not booths-it was very difficult for my 83 year old father to get in and out. Please make staff to be aware of these little things. It will make customer experience better. Our server,Darcy was wonderful-saved the meal!"
