Since 1978, Jake's on the Lake has embodied a carefree Tahoe spirit in a "Classic Waterfront Grill" offering superb service, a friendly and casual atmosphere and the finest and freshest food.
Located on the waterfront in the heart of Tahoe City, Jake's boasts sweeping views of Lake Tahoe's crystalline water and stunning mountain vistas.

"We had a special needs person with us n we could not use their best feature outside dinning. So we sat inside n the smell was terrible this place could use a face lift. Very disappointed n would never come back. Food was very poor n service was just as poor"

"We stopped in for dinner and were unimpressed. Limited selections and what we did order was not as good as we had heard. The Mahi was undercooked and the sides did not seem to match up well with the entres. The saving grace was the Hula Pie. That is probably the best dessert we have ever had!!!!! I would stop back only for dessert."

"Food and Service were 5 star as usual. For the firsr time we were seated in the upper level. The upper level was extremely noisy. Great place for large groups or families with children,not so much for couples wanting a romantic quiter evening. It was also much brighter on this level. Between inside lighting and outside lighting any lake ambiance was lost."

"We were travelling in the area and looking for a nice place to eat. Jake's had good reviews, but in every wasy it exceeded our expectations. The table was "quietly out of the way" with a marina view which was pleasant for the two of us, and the menu was full of delicious surprises. My husband's appetizer of smoked venision (which he kindly shared with me !) was out of this world. We each had fish for our main course and they were equally delicious and well prepared.
The waitress was terrific.
We would definitely dine here again when we are in Tahoe City."
