"The chefs are fantastic, and if you sit at the chef's counter, you can watch them make everything. They will explain all aspects of the menu and answer your questions like pros. The servers really know their stuff and can make good recommendations about wine pairings. The patio is a lovely place to get a view of the water while you eat some great food."

"We went for Mother's Day brunch and it was delicious and delightful. Had not been to Battery Wharf in the North End before so this was a treat. PLUS the restaurant was offering a complimentary harbor cruise. How could we refuse? And now that we know about Aragosta we'll definitely be back."

"We had a 6:30 reservation but after walking around the North End we arrived at 5:15. They were most accomadating and we had a lovely early dinner. The service was wonderful as was the food and wine. Would definitly plan on going there again."

"Overall, very good experience. Service was good, if a little slow. Not to the point of iiritation, but notable. My wife and daughter had some drinks from the cocktail menu. Liked them both. Very decent wine list by the glass.Something for everyone's food tastes on the menu. Great crispy gnocchi appetizer. Everyone loved their entrees. My braised short rib was terrific. I had asked for a small birthday cake for my daughter. They did not get it in time, so they put together a beautiful dessert plate for her with the requisite candle. They comped this which was really nice of them.Wait staff were very nice and attentive.The outdoor patio is nice but you stare directly at the Coast Guard cutters nearby."

"I had moderate expectations for food and high expectations for location; was not clear about service. After a nice evening at Aragosta, I concluded that the food was very good, far better than expected, and our server (Colleen) was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Furthermore, there is jazz entertainment in the lobby lounge on Saturdays (and Fridays I think) and Richard, the host, was very amenable to ensuring that we secure a nice spot in the jazz area after dinner. The jazz was excellent, and the drinks, delicious.
The only disappointing thing about the evening turned out to be the location - to my surprise, the restaurant really has no view of the water. This makes the interior seating seem rather generic and hotel-y."

"We chose this restaurant because it fit the 3 things we were looking for: North End of Boston, Italian food, and availability. I scanned the menu and away we went. The restaurant was lovely, our server was very knowledgeable, accommodating and fun, and we had some really great food. I would definitely go back and try a couple of other things that looked interesting, and the outside seating area looks really inviting."

"I have lived in Boston for 10 years and didn't even know this area existed, but my friends and I were beyond impressed. We went for Restaurant Week and the amount and types of selections on the menu were amazing. EVERYTHING we had exceeded expectations: Lobster Truffle Crostini, Burata, Calamari, Short Ribs, and the Catch of the day (Trout). They also have a year round fire pit on the waterfront to roast smores :) - I haven't been to that part yet, but I will be back there more than just one other time!"

"Were here for Brunch on Easter; it was convenient & had availability when we wanted. There was a short wait for our table but then were seated at one in the lobby of the hotel.It was at a window but the view of the Coast Guard docks so not really great. Service just ok; maybe due to "out of sight/out of mind" being so far from restaurant. Personally, I would not want this table again but can see how someone else might think it was ok. The food was good but not noteworthy. Unfortunately on holidays, it is more about the # plates served than about overall quality. I would go again but this did not meet my expectations."

"I dined during restaurant week at Aragosta. The beet/goat cheese salad was out of this world!! We ordered antipasto as as extra -- pretty typical but quality meats. I had the carbonara for dinner -- theirs is a bit unconventional with soy beans instead of peas. Very, very good and not too heavy but nothing super unusual. Olive oil cake was something different -- sort of a light, lemony pound cake. It was also very good. Serving sizes were just right"

"Aragosta was enjoyable, but our party of four wasn't impressed by the tiny portions for the high prices. My frittata had almost no artichoke (and slivers, at that), was NOT egg-white (as was expected), and was way too thin - almost a flat crepe, actually. The Turkey hash with new potatoes and scrambled eggs (picture that in your head, then read what we got) was really a half-cup-sized mound with some turkey salad-type stuff mixed with a small amount of tiny cubed potatoes, topped by what looked like one scrambled egg. Our blueberry muffin french toast consisted of two thin slices on blueberry bread/cake french toast topped with blueberries (the berries were one of the best parts of this entire meal - that ain't sayin' much). Overall bummer"

"We came to hear a little jazz and a bite to eat. We didn't realize we were going to hear a first-rate quintet that could hold its own at NYC's top clubs! Lance Houston and his sidemen are worth going out of your way to hear. On top of that, we were very pleasantly surprised to have such attentive service and such great food! A delightful evening all around. We will make a point of returning next time we're in Boston."

"Aragosta Bar & Bistro got what Restaurant Week was all about- give diners a chance to sample some of their notable menu selections, delight them, and entice them to come back. I surely will! Our waiter, Dan, was truly a professional. He knew what wines to suggest pairing with any selection on the Restaurant Week menu. The price point to add pairings was spot on. His knowledge and recommendations were impeccable, as was his pronunciation of the dishes and components. The new chef, Graham, also made an appearance at our table so we could pass on our compliments. All in all, we walked away delighted with our dinner, excited to come back and try Graham's new concoctions, and amused with the new music schedule they have going on."

"My friend and i were disappointed to dins out the the restaurant week website advertised Aragosta's Saturday menu incorrectly. We made reservations specifically for their lunch menu but when we got there we found out they were only serving brunch on the weekends! Luckily our server Loredana was kind enough to check and see if any of the lunch menu was available for them to prepare for us. And something was! We were able to try their lobster bisque (delish) as well as the gourmet grilled cheese that we were looking forward to. Loredana helpful and extremely accommodating. We were very satisfied and full!"

"My boyfriend and I decided to check out Aragosta based on a friend's recommendation. We went during Restaurant Week and sat at the "Chef's Counter". What a great experience this was - we were able to watch the chef's prepare appetizers and entrees, which made it easy for us to decide what to get! The restaurant week menu did not disappoint, and the wine pairings were an added treat! The food was excellent, and after we had finished eating, one of the chefs offered to show us the patio out back. We definitely plan to return this summer to take advantage of this hidden gem!"

"Aragosta never fails to amaze me! I have been to this establishment numerous times and always leave satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. We had Dan as our waiter who was very attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable about their menu/wine pairings. The entrees were prepared by Ralph who put a lot of care and detail into each dish. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants, not just in the North End, but Boston overall. I highly recommend Aragosta!"

"My boyfriend and I went to the Aragosta restaurant for the first time and I can say that we will be going back again. We were debating on staying in and making a home cooked meal or venturing out into the city. We did have some trouble finding the hidden restaurant with the GPS and the hostess did assure us that it's best to call for the address because it is located inside the Battery Wharf hotel. There is no street parking because well it's Boston and only resident parking however, there are plenty of parking garages around within walking distance. They have a great cocktail and wine menu. Their dinner menu accommodates everyone in your party, from the meat lover to the vegetarian to anyone with caution diets. Great evening."

"The Fairmont Hotel in which the restaurant is housed sent us off to the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel where we stayed in the hotel town car. such a treat a treat on a rainy Boston night. We sat in the lounge wher a local jazz group played and we enjoyed oysters salads scollops Recommendable"

"Tucked away in the Fairmont Battery Wharf this new American cuisine will delight you. Our waitress was from France and gave us some tips of new wine to try, which we loved and the sea scallops and Vermont chicken were terrific! On a cold winter Wednesday night this was a treat. There is outdoor seating and a spectacular view of Boston Harbor that we will come back for in warmer weather."
