"I love Sunsets.
We enjoyed dinner with friends and liked that we were not rushed through dinner. The food was good and certainly enough. The Pinot Noir was delicious but my friend's Gin and Tonic was lacking. However it was exchanged with no hassle. The Shrimp Stir Fry was a little salty and soaked the rice too much. Other than that, we will be back."

"Took my mom here for brunch on Mothers Day. The only option was the Buffet which was alright but seemed rather limited, especially since they would not serve anything off of their menu to you. It was also a bit pricey for what it was. Bloody Mary's were pretty good. Service was pretty standard, nothing to get excited about. Overall this place is what it is supposed to be but the one in Wayzata is much nicer."

"We used to frequent Sunsets. The food has become mediocre at best, food temperatures vary from barely warm to cool, food favors are not memorable. The menu has not changed in quite a long time which would be fine if each plate was great. One of our party had the chicken caprese sandwich that had an almost medicinal aftertaste. I had the sole stuffed with crab. It was not hot, tasted fishy and it had no "pop" as far as flavor. Pretty bland. We won't be back. Service was fine, it has a nice atmosphere."

"Being it was our first visit, we weren't too adventurous in our food choices, but the walleye and ribs were very good. Pricing was very fair, and the portions were generous...even the wine. Our waitress was polite, but that was about it. As for ambiance, we were here for a special occasion, thinking we were going somewhere just a little upscale (as described on OpenTable), but we may as well have been at Applebee's. OpenTable desribes a dress code of "smart casual", but don't bother...people were there in shorts and flip-flops, and even the hostess was wearing yoga pants.
So...it wasn't a bad experience, just not really like the image they try to project."

"We had reservations and were promptly seated even though the restaurant was very busy (this was a Saturday night). The food and service were excellent; the children's menu had a nice variety of choices and our kids loved the food. As soon as we were finished eating, the hostess stopped by our table to ask if we wouldn't mind leaving as other customers were waiting. As we were ready to leave anyway, this was no big deal and we were happy to oblige, but it may be worth noting that on such a busy night you may not feel comfortable indulging in a leisurely meal and conversation. Also, the restaurant was a bit noisy (again, busy, plus the fact that the seating is all "open"). But overall we highly recommend Sunsets as a great place to eat!"

"We arrived a bit early for our reservation, but were able to be seated right away. Our server was very friendly and prompt. The brunch food was OK. Not bad, but nothing special or outstanding. Very limited pastry and dessert options. My husband commented on how much he liked the eggs, and the choice of sweet and sour chicken was a nice additon to an otherwise non-descript brunch menu."

"I had the shrimp stir fry and the rice was overly coated with not sure what but you couldn't even taste the rice. It tasted like mush and I didn't eat it which was a waste because the price of meals is high. I wouldn't go there except for special occasions because of the high prices but it didn't stop the throngs of customers that were there because Sunsets was packed!"

"I was so surprised to get a reservation on Valentine's Day and at a time I really wanted. We absolutely loved our seating! We were put at a table at the farthest point in the room away from the bar and in a corner where we could see some of the kitchen activity. Food was delicious."

We made later reservations as opposed to eating during the lunch hour so we would not be swarmed with lunch shifts coming and going on that day and we know your establishment would be busy that day. "First time at Sunset and I was satisfied with the experience and certainly may be back. Had a group of four with three getting the Walleye and one with Salmon. Everyone commented that the food was good. One person who asked for the fish to be cooked in Olive Oil vs. butter had to wait longer for her entree' but was satisfied when it came.
Good selection of beers and drinks rounded off the evening well."
