"I took my boyfriend to TAG for his belated birthday dinner, and it was everything I hoped it would be... excellent food, excellent service, with an energetic atmosphere that wasn't so loud that we had trouble talking. We made reservations through Open Table, and when we arrived was passed up all the 2-tops that were close together and were seated at the "chef seats" (a bar-like seating arrangement where we could watch the chefs prepare the food). It was a fantastic treat! We spared no expense (nor should you)... we had appetizers, wine, main course, and dessert. I would not skip any of it. I had the miso black cod, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Outstanding.. one of the best restaurants in Denver, for sure."

"Mother's Day brunch was fantastic.......as usual. We had a group of six and were seated downstairs where I believe it is more quiet & peaceful. But if you prefer to see & be seen, they have sidewalk dining as well. The service is tops. And the food is over the top in choice, preparation and presentation! Always look forward to returning. Even my husband who is a simple, basics eater (hamburger most of the time) will go to Tag any time. He says it is the best "gourmet" restaurant anywhere and always raves about it to others!!"

"Absolutely amazing. The sushi taco was to die for! Had the Miso Cod on Tuesday (and tried a bite of the steak from a friend)...went back on Thursday to have my own helping of the steak (that one bite was not enough)!!! And yes, I had the sushi taco again, of course."

"Enjoyed an excellent meal at Tag. The black cod was excellent, and my vegetarian wife was very pleased (as was I) with their veg. entree of gnocchi. Service was prompt, friendly, and remained attentive. It is a rather small space, so not particularly private in areas, but overall a nice atmosphere. Overall, great experience, and a place I would recommend."

"Incredible evening at your restaurant! Food was fantastic, service was top notch, and overall customer experience and attention to detail was refreshing compared to most places. Went to the restaurant for a customer dinner...Jessica and the bar staff were very friendly and kept me company while I waited for my guest to arrive. "We had reservations to celebrate our anniversary. The hostess was amazing & so helpful by moving some things around so we could sit in one of their nice big private red booths. For a Tuesday night, they were busy as usual. The entire staff signed a Happy Anniversary card for us which was such a special touch, we knew we picked the perfect place for our anniversary. We had wine, sake & our server even went to their other location just to get my husband a Sapporo beer, wow! The food is top notch & nothing would disappoint here. We had the edamame, pot stickers, kobe beef sliders w/duck fat fries (amazing) taco sushi & 2 sushi rolls. We felt we had arrived in a food heaven! All the staff was so friendly & our server was the best!"

"would have given a higher overall rating but what is it with restaurants who all play the "techno-musak" (the musak of 2012+) which just thumps in your head and add nothing to the ambiance of dining out other than "forget the next course, cancel that wine I just ordered, get me my check, I gotta get out of here". the volume was not horrible, unlike many restaurants, just the annoying repetitive beat of "exodus"

"So disappointed. We had heard so many wonderful things about TAG that we were very excited to try it. My girlfriend arrived first and the hostess showed her to a table in the very back looking into the kitchen. Since this was supposed to be a date night she asked for a table and the hostess was very rude. We did get a table and the tables in TAG are very close together, not the best for something romantic. Our server was great at first. The appetizers are the best thing on the menu. We got the sushi tacos and the matador role. My girlfriend ordered the kale salad and said no cheese but salad came with cheese. They did remake it. 30 minute wait between salad and entree. Entree was nothing special. Bad service and rude staff."

"beautiful memories...the foie gras preparation as a starter was so tempting that we each had to have one, after some fun handcrafted cocktails (enjoyed the Berry Gibbs!). For entrees, we enjoyed the salmon and a Rocky Mt trout special that included an incredibly prepared trout filet with crispy skin, a beautifully and delicately smoked diver scallop and a trout croquette that was so delectable we could have eaten a plate as a starter or entree. For dessert, my partner had a glass of port and I was lucky enough to end with the pastry chef's Maui Sunrise Shortcake which was a coconut chiffoncake, coconut maupia cream, tiny bits of pineapple, a bit of mint and mango caramel....as I said, beautiful memories.Should I add service by Tracy was A+!"

"One of the most consistently excellent restaurants in town. Great menu with Asian influence but also some standard fare. Try to sit at the counter facing the kitchen - you can watch the very competent chefs do their magic while enjoying your meal and some excellent wine."

"The food was superb. We enjoyed our wine as well as selecting our wine. The wine list, although interesting, lacked any Pinot Noir from Burgundy whatsoever. The waitress albeit helpful and attentive was a bit patronizing inasmuch as everything I picked made her exclaim "that's my favorite!". Some very interesting dishes to delight and intrigue the senses and mind. We shall return."

"This was my second time eating there and it is fabulous. Try the Miso Black Cod for flavor that will knock your socks off. My companion had the scallops which couldn't have been fresher. Service is always excellent, too. Tops Rioja for me, and that's saying a lot."

"Amazing. We were there for 5280 so of course the place was packed, but we loved the atmosphere. We sat in the basement - a great fun, trendy feel. The food was terrific. My favorite was the trout which had the most amazing crispy skin and was served in a yummy potato chowder with crab. I also had the kangaroo which is rare, but not raw and very tasty and then the chocolate dessert which was also good, but I think I liked my boyfriend's banana walnut cake a little better. I couldn't stop thinking about the food the next day - we'll definitely be back.
One note - in response to the comments on portion size - both my boyfriend and I thought the portion sizes were perfect - we were full but not stuffed."

"We had an outstanding meal, our waiter John James was outstanding, he was very well trained on both the methods of preperation on the meals and the wine lists.
Kudo's to the managment of TAG for spending the time to properly train thier staff, it was evident from the second you walked in the door."

"My wife and I stayed in Downtown Denver during the 5280 week, which is couples dining at participating restaurants for $52.80. We made online reservations at Tag, and I will be honest, I was a little nervous. From the look of the pictures and some of the reviews I was afraid we going to be stuck in a crowded, retro restaurant where taste took a backseat to presentation. I am happy to admit I was sorely mistaken. Although the establishment is small, and there is a lot of activity, I did not feel overly crowded at our table. I watched an employee who appeared to be a manager, and she was apparently paying attention to everything because as soon as she realized our waiter was tied down with other guests, she came to our service immediately.
