"The staff is very welcoming and friendly. However, the atmosphere was quite disrupted with the musician playing at the front of a small restaurant. At times, it was difficult to speak to one another over top of the performance, which was a bit too loud for a space like this. We ordered an appetizer that was recommended by our waitress, chicken dumplings. The filling was very good, however the pastry part of it was quite overcooked and crunchy. Dinner was a big letdown. The cheesesteak my friend ordered was not made well and the shrimp tempura tacos were deeply disappointing due to the dried out, cold tortillas and inconsistency in temperature of the meal."

"The service was painfully slow. It took over an hour to get our food. The food was average. Although we made a reservation for 9, the restaurants space really cannot comfortably accommodate a party beyond 5."

"I really do dislike writing this about a private establishment, but this dining experince was poor at best. The food was simply awful. My husband's pizza was made on a dough that tasted like toast. It was like eating a frozen Celentano pizza. My shrimp stir fry was so salty and swimming in sauce. The slider appetizers were the only palatable items we had. Factor in the cost of these items, and I cannot recommend this restaurant."

"Used a gifted living social deal that included two soups or salads and 4 tapas per 2 people. Food was mediocre. the crab bisque that was recommended to me by our server was not. The two soups of the day were the Crab Bisque and Tomato Bisque. I am sure they mixed the two and put in the cup. When it came out it was hardly luke warm and enough for 5 spoonfuls. I know they had run out of the cheesesteak egg rolls and something else so I have a feeling that's what happened with my soup. The best dish of the evening were the Chicken Potstickers. Hummus and pita was OK, but the olives and roasted peppers were clearly from a can. We also got the bacon Mac N Cheese & BBQ Pork Quesadilla was excellent. Good for deal but that's it."

"There were some unusual choices on the menu which were very good.
My only issue is that after leaving the restaurant, I realized that the final check before the tip was about $26 more than it should have been. I contacted the restaurant the next day, but haven't heard back (2 days ago)."

"The food was pretty good. The Groupon we used was for 1 salad and 4 tapas. The tapas are not the small plates I was used to seeing...they were actual meal sized portions. So that was pretty exciting. We ordered the taco salad, which was excellent. Real meat, not the regular ground beef, excellent crispy fried tortilla bowl, spring mix, and a balsamic type dressing. It was great. We also got the Kobe beef sliders, crab, spinach and artichoke dip, fish and chips, and the scallops. All were pretty good, but not amazing."

"Bought a living social deal to this restaurant to try somewhere new. The tapas menu was good but limited. Seems like it doesn't know what it wants to be Beer pub food, tapas."

"Wine Selection was aweful and the wine I selected was bad. Decor was horrible, our waitress was very good and pleasant.Food selection for restaurant week was very good however, my dinner was loaded with pepper and the roasted potatoes were hard. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend"

"I visited GiGi's on February 1, 2013 for restaurant week, after passing the restaurant a million times a friend suggestion that we try it out. I was very excited and really looking forward to going. When we first got there around 5:30 the restaurant was pretty empty besides a few people at the bar. After a few minutes the restaurant filled up quickly. The service, and food was good to me. The potatoes that I had were a little over seasoned and salty. The ambiance to me was the biggest downfall, it was very dark. While being there I felt very tired and sluggish and my whole mood changed. I thought it was just because of the day I had until I left the restaurant and became full of energy again."

"When we got to the resturant, it was packed. We had reservations for 9 but we did get seated till 9:20 due to how packed it was. Our server was really nice. I do t remember his name but he was really nice. He was very knowledgable with the menu and was very helpful with selecting items to eat. That Maryland crab soup and that red velvet cake was to die for!!!! I love spicy food so the soup was right up my alley. The red velvet cake's icing was so rich. I'm usually don't order deserts, but I would order this again. Overall, I would go back to this resturant in the future."

"Good but not consistant. Really enjoyed on my first visit, but returned and the same meal wasn't as good. Mussells lacked flavor and the fries with the Phillysteak wasn't fully cooked.Lesson leaned: have deserts brought to the table prior to packing to go. When ordered to go, the cake slices were slithers."

"The food was pretty good, but the service took a long time. It took a long time for our food to come, like almost 45 minutes for the main dish. It may have been this way because it was restaurant week. I would still try them again!"

"I had been there once before and enjoyed the small plates, but my experience this time was bad. We waited 30 minutes for a table despite our 8PM reservation. After we were seated, it took another 15 minutes for a waiter to show up - he was perfectly nice and the service was fine. The food was disappointing compared to our first visit. Their "chicken tortilla soup" is actually chili, which is fine if that's what you want and disappointing if it's not. Sliders were overcooked and tasteless, crabcakes disappointing and chicken quesadilla was OK -- the highlight compared to everything else. Don't know why it was such a different experience than our previous visit just 2 months ago."

"We had a large group and our server seemed to struggle with keeping up with us. Drinks were empty for some time and they were out of decaf after 1 cup. Apps came out for some then 15 minutes later for others, the same with dinner. Food was good, but took us 3 hours to eat lunch with apps, sandwiches, and dessert. Overall there are many other places to eat in Old City that I would choose before returning here."

"While the food was good, especially the Whitman Crab Cakes, I can't say the same for everything else. I would come back just for the food. The service, unfortunately wasn't up to par. I ordered a few drinks and the restaurant didn't have a few items to fulfill the recipe for those drinks. It took a while for all the drinks to come for all the people in our party, and the waitress barely checked up on us.
One of the friends I was dining with ordered some hot sauce for her meal. Maybe 20 minutes or so after, the sauce was finally brought out, which was BBQ Sauce for wings, not intended for her Thai Chili Stir Fry."

"I had heard mixed reviews but after eating here I was extremely disappointed. The food was good for the tiny, itty bitty portions they gave us. I think the food was definitely overpriced for what I was getting. For a four course meal, I was still starving after I left and I'm a tiny girl. The dessert was cheesecake with your choice of chocolate or strawberry sauce. I can get a better cheesecake from ShopRite or any grocery store. It was hard as a rock and tasted old/bad. There was a definite funk about it. The drink list was dismal and the "margarita" I got was more sour mix than I could handle. Service was slow and seemed inexperienced."

"Nothing special about the food. Waitress was annoying and too nosey. Tried to rip us off during restaurant week by only allowing cash payment, and putting tax and tip on top of normal total instead of restaurant week offer"

"Visited this restaurant last night with a friend. I had a Living Social voucher, but i was a bit nervous seeing a lot of negative reviews on Yelp and other sites. The voucher I had was for dinner for two: two soups or salads, and four tapas for $30. I had made a reservation, but we were seated faster than I was able to mention it to the hostess. The server was polite and friendly and kept our glasses full without us having to ask, even once. Now the restaurant had more of a pub kind of feel, rather than a lounge, but overall a quiet, clean restaurant. We both ordered the house salad, and it wasn't bad. By tapas, I expected to be served small to modest servings. The portions were huge by center city standards. We ordered the hummus, fish and"
