"Having eaten here before, we made reservations to bring my daughter for her birthday. We did not find out that it had morphed into an Italian restaurant called Villa Sorriso with a meager tapas type menu until we arrived for our reservation. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed. We just left and went to La Luna Negra instead."

"excellent tapas style foods for a moderate price. Service is good and quick. Empanadas are delicious. Cesar salad and Arugala salads are excellent. We have been there about 5 times, and every time we were satisfied."

"The food was fabulous. The service was harried and distracted. The waitress whisked our sangria pitcher away when it was at least a third full . My client whom I was entertaining with his wife noticed and commented at this and I was frankly embarrassed. The table was tippy and although three separate employees tried to fix the tipping it did not work . The client's wife commented on this and again I was embarrassed . Two dishes we ordered never came so I cancelled them and we ordered something else. I never got the water I asked for. So I am torn about ever bringing clients here again. Yes the food is good but service was anoyingly brusk and forgetful ."

"We've been here several times, and the food and ambiance is always wonderful. This time was no exception. We just love ordering several tapas and 1 Paella, and share everything, it's fun, and you get lots of variety in your meal.
We also like to order things 2 at a time, that way our meal lasts longer and can enjoy everyone's company. Don't forget the red Sangria!"

"This place looks really nice but the service is horrible. I'd comment on the food but the service was so bad I didn't even make it to the appetizers. Barely received a menu at that. I had reservations on 2/14/2013 for 8pm. Of course it was going to be packed. The extended wait time requested was acceptable. I got there at 8pm and was asked to wait 20-30 minutes. I then went to the bar with my date and had a drink. The 2 bartenders were really nice and on top of everything that needed to be done. 45 minutes go by and the host asked if we still wanting to eat? Really? We said yes, and continued to wait another 20 minutes. We were finally seated but with no menus. We waited another 20 minutes patiently finishing our drinks at the table."

"Had reservations for 8pm and weren't seated until 8:50. The hostess seemed completely lost and wasn't writing anything down, exacerbating her confusion. Restaurant is way too loud and feels crowded, as if they crammed as many seats into it as possible. The food came out rather quickly once we were seated, which was welcome, although there was no rhyme or reason to the order in which menu items arrived. Drinks were so-so."

"Overbooked and badly handled the situation. Our group of 4 had the reservation and the hostess kept giving us the runaround while we patiently waited for more than half an hour. She told us that there's that empty table and they're waiting for the patrons next to them to leave and they'll combine two tables as soon as they leave. We came around to check in 10 and they filled that table."

"We visited Bar Celona for dinner on Valentine's Day. On any special occasion, you would expect a restaurant of this type to be quite busy (which they were) which, in some restaurants, results in sacrificing food quality or service. The server was both pleasant and professional and the food was perfect - beautifully prepared, perfectly cooked and attractively plated. We were highly impressed as this was our first visit to the restaurant. Good food, reasonably priced, in a comfortable atmosphere."

"my only critique is that the service didn't measure up to the food quality. I serve in food establishments so I can understand being really busy, but getting entrees before tapas should never happen. as I said, the food was so spectacular that the things that bothered me evaded my mind as soon as I put food in my mouth. reservations weren't held up but it was valentines day and that is expected. we got seated 50 mins after our reservation scheduled but I'm sure others waited even longer and happily for the food, as we did. I'd like to visit bar celona on a regular night to get a better idea of the service."

"We went on a Sunday night, when they have a $5 sangria special, which was a nice surprise. We all shared a combination of tapas, salad, and paella, all of which were tasty. We tried the crispy eggplant, the blistered chili peppers, the arugula apple salad, and seafood paella. We were pleasantly surprised at how much seafood was in the paella in proportion to the rice. I also appreciated that the restaurant side is separate from the bar areas, so that you can dine and talk to your party, while all the more festive atmosphere can be found in the bar."

"I discovered this great place several yrs ago. I don't frequent it only because I live by the beach and it's a bit of a drive out to Pasadena. But their food has never let me down. Great bar scene as well on the weekends!"
