"Food has amazing flavor. Prices are high. Drinks are especially expensive. Crowd is very "Marina" - whether that is good or bad will hang on your opinion of the Marina. We will likely go back."

"The mac and cheese was verrrrry good. The cocktail (strawberry fields) could have been stronger, but was delicious. He had the burger and was very happy with it. I had the chicken sando .........the slaw on the sandwich was great - I could've eaten just that and been happy. Biscuit was meh.... While making the reservation they confirmed that the patio menu was served indoors too, but waitress said at dinner only."

"Met friends at The Tipsy Pig at 6:30 on a Fri eve. The place was already full...translation very loud! We were seated in the back near the outdoor patio so it was a tiny bit less loud there, but still if you want to have good conversation, I would not recommend. On the plus side, the food was great...especially the wild mushroom salad with a quail egg! The chicken pot pie was also goo (very rich!) and everyone enjoyed their dishes, too (burger, hangar steak & trout). We will come back, just perhaps not Fri right after work!!"

"Friday night dinner for 2 and it was extremely busy and very noisy. We thought the food was timed well, service was good, we had an issue with one of entrees and they comp'd it, so I can't complain about the customer service. I don't know if it was an off night, but overall I thought the food was just okay and several of the items we ordered were heavy on the salt. Seems like it would be a fun place for groups, but not for a couple trying to have a conversation."

"I read about the Tipsy Pig in the SF Chronicle as one of the top 100 restaurants in San Francisco. I was in town with 2 friends on St Patrick's Day weekend. I imagine that the bar was more crowded than usual and the noise level higher than usual. The 3 of us shared a wedge salad, which was excellent. One friend has the duck 2 ways-both ways very tasty. I had a bite and loved it and my friend ate it all with relish. My other friend had the red trout with fava beans and onion broth-delicious. I wished I had ordered it. I had the pork chop special with reduction sauce. The pork chop was moist and well cooked, but it was way too salty. I think the sauce reduced too much. Good, but not good enough to return."

"Food was great, as usual. However, we were seated at the little 3-top in the front window, next to the door, so I was freezing the entire time. Also, our server was MIA for the majority of the meal. She stopped by to take our drink order, dinner order and drop off the check. She never checked in on us to make sure our food came out ok. Also, we needed the bill to be split, but she ran away so fast that we had to find someone else to split the bill for us. Also, our dinner (mac and cheese and burgers) took about 2 hours, which was pretty surprising."

"There are many good restaurants in this area, so you would go here primarily if you are interested in the bar scene. My meal was quite tasty (Arctic char and risotto) but it was lacking in nutritional balance."

"The food was excellent as was the service however being there trying to have a peaceful meal it was not relaxing. The noise level at the bar almost made us wAlk out and find another however I am glad we did not because the food was excellent. If you only had some pull down dividers in the squared out sections between the bar and dining area it would have been much nicer. I could not hear anyone in our party at the table we were at without us yelling at each other. Albeit I am 59 years old and having owned a blues biker bar in Reno Nevada previously, I understand the younger crowd, but the acoustics in your bar area spilling over into the dining area was overwhelming . Besides the nose level everything else was excellent."

"Beef sliders and risotto/fish were excellent. We were seated in the front alcove near the window. It was the best seating. Waitress knew the menu and was attentive. Make a reservation since this neighborhood restaurant is popular!"

"We are regulars at the Tipsy Pig. I have given it my highest rating . I never do a perfect rating (5 stars) because nothings is perfect. The service we have experienced each time has been excellent and the food very good. We hace taken several parties of friends and everyone, as far as we know, has enjoyed the experience very much.
I have chgecked (2) above for what is pertenient for us."

"Went there for their 1yr anniversary and must say everything inc. the gumbo was great!. Great salad, real tasty mac-n cheese, delicious sliders ... couldnt have asked for more but then the gumbo came and I was just soooooo impressed! Would go back again. Would be great if they kept the live music going. The band that night was rockn"

"Our server kind of rushed us, which was disappointing since it was my birthday dinner. She didn't even offer my friends refills on their drinks when they were empty."
