Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck
Dallas’ horizon brightens with Five Sixty atop Reunion Tower. The skyline’s distinguishing 560-foot landmark with the distinctive glowing ball houses legendary chef Wolfgang Puck’s first fine dining restaurant in the city. Upon ascending 50 stories, diners depart from the elevator at the center of the restaurant. From the moment guests enter, they are greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows that line the restaurant, offering 360-degree views of Dallas as the room revolves. The cuisine draws inspiration from Puck’s renowned signature fine dining restaurants including Spago, Chinois and CUT. Featuring modern fusion of Asian dishes, the menu can be enjoyed in the 150-seat main room or at the restaurant’s two stylish bars: a rotating bar facing outwards so patrons can enjoy the view, and a stationary, ultra-contemporary illuminated glass bar where guests can watch the action at the sushi and robata exhibition kitchen. Wine aficionados will appreciate an extensive wine list.

"My experience was a very good one. The view was fantastic on a clear night with all the seats facing the windows. The rotation of the dining area was noticeable at first, but as the night went on it wasn't an issue. They were out of the duckling, which is one of their big sellers, but that was probably because we got the latest reservation. The wait staff was very attentive in regards to our drinks getting close to empty, but the waiter taking our order was not seen very much. It was highly enjoyable and would recommend this to others."

"Our daughter wanted to go here (not in her budget) to celebrate her graduation from college. We had a wonderful time. The view is amazing. Our food....from appetizers to dessert was definitely above average. Several items would please the most discerning palate. Overall, I sense that the restaurant is patronized by tourists more than locals. The attached hotel is out of date but is apparently undergoing renovations soon."

"Food was good but overpriced for me. It'll have to be special indeed for me to go back. Disappointed in craft cocktails but it was my first time. I'll think I'll stick to bourbon and branch water. Server was nice and enjoyable but the kitchen was s-l-o-w. We went late, 9 PM, and made a full revolution before we received our appetizer. Don't think I can blame the Server though."

"I now understand why there is a long waiting list to dine at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Pucks. When you are able to combine exquisite cuisine with an outstanding view topped off with an excellent staff, people will want to come! If you know that you will be in the downtown Dallas area and wish to have a memorable dining experience, then I suggest you book your reservation at least a month ahead of time for a weekend dinner. We were there to celebrate my birthday and splurged on the 7-course dining experience. I have never spent that much on a meal but I will say that it was totally worth it. Each course was brought out and explained by well trained staff, the meals were not only picture perfect but very palatable as well! Highly Recommend!"

"Was visiting Dallas for work reasons, staying at Hyatt which is connected to this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience to have dinner here. The food is a fusion of Asian and American...with maybe a touch of Texas thrown in. The quality of ingredients, presentation, and service is worth going put of your way to experience. If you are staying at the Hyatt, you must try this restaurant. It is not inexpensive, but it is a wonderful value for the view, the ambiance, the flavor combinations. It's not touristy ...although its a perfect way to get a feel for Dallas quickly. Highly recommend. Bravo Wolfgang, again!"

"The atmosphere at Five Sixty can't be beat and there is not a bad seat in the house as each table has a fantastic view. The menu is pretty unique and provides options not found at other restaurants. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant in general. The food was fantastic, though "Asian fusion" is something we are only likely to enjoy sporadically. Make your reservations for after sunset. We made a reservation the day before so there was only early availability and the restaurant feels much more romantic when the sun is down and the city lights are on."

"Appetizers are small, ranging $15-$20 per plate. The Chicken Dumplings were delicious, and could be shared between 2 people. Others at my table also ordered the Spicy Tuna Tartare and the sashimi. The fish was really fresh. I had the Beef filet "Au Poivre" for my entree. The 9oz steak was tender and juicy, but wasn't worth the $56 menu price. I opted not to have desserts, but my friends enjoyed the Bittersweet Chocolate Suffle. In all, I paid $90 for 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 lemonade, and a portion of the gratuity. Food was good, but not outstanding. The ambience was great, and the view of the downtown was amazing. Overall, we had a nice time at the Reunion Tower and would recommend it to people who would like to come on a special occasion."

"We went for our 17th anniversary, and the evening started out great. We got there early, sat in the bar area with a great view of the scenery (it was sunset...very pretty). The cocktails were very good, although pricey. When we were finally sat, the dining experience was very mediocre, and for the price, not worth it. The food was ok. My wife was gluten free, and there was barely any options for her (we had read a review prior to going that said almost anything on the menu could be made gluten free from 3 years ago, but I guess that has changed). We were sitting in the secondary row of tables (not a window seat) so we were forced to look at/through other people to see the views. None of the food was noteworthy. Overall: disappointed"

"The view is amazing and really the only reason to go, if you order anything get the Asian, the appt. are between $16.00 & $22.00, most entree's are in the $40.00 - $60.00 range. $36.00 for chicken, and $66.00 for a Filet! Way overpriced for average food. You think Wolfe Gang Puck, but the food is so average, except for the Asian, if you go order that, but be prepared for very small portions for a very big price. The waiters also tend to be very aggressive and pushy with drinks and apps. Also if you want to bring a Birthday cake, they charge $7.50 per person for a plating charge and if you split an Entrée, they also charge a plating fee."

"we came here for our 12 yr anniversary. we will never forget it! we don't have a lot of money and I, myself have never spent that much on food. but I understand. the food was AWESOME! so was service. I would pay that much for the experience again. but I do not understand why drinks were so much. they were outrageously priced! the fact that most single drinks are more expensive than a plate of food, it leaves me to ask th question, "where is the chefs confidence?"."

"The service was Exceptional. Our waiter was phenomenal. Now lets get to the food. In my opinion the food is a tad overpriced for the taste and quality. It seems that all the food has a very strong Asian influence and I'm simply not into that. If you are willing to pay over $250 for 2 people to eat "Fair" tasting food then this place might be for you. The portion sizes are also extremely small for the price. I have to say that what I enjoyed the most was the view even though I got extremely dizzy at first when we were first escorted to our table. Our waiter was extremely helpful by suggesting I switch seats with my husband who was sitting facing forward instead of facing backwards as the dinning room turns. Hope you all enjoy your experience"

"Food was good, especially the crabcake appetizer.
Service was very good, although our waiter seem to be upset at something during the late part of our dinner. Maybe he had a bad table somewhere else,alhtough his assistant was excellent; on cue with drinks and clearing out the table.
Ambiance was most outstanding; the restaurant is section off and it gives both privacy and openess. Of course, the view is the key to it all. We got a special treat in the process, Marine 1 and the Presidential entourage flew by while having dinner.
Noise is moderate, we where seated near the outside bar (the one that rotates with ther rest of the restaurant), but nothing that disturbed our conversation.
Pricey, but you are payting for the view."

"I personally think one of the most outstanding and refreshing things to say about the restaurant was the folks st 560N! We were taking our 85 yr old father who had always wanted to visit the tower and from the moment you arrive to the end of your meal, you are transported away, which makes your dining experience all the more enjoyable! I'm sure you here all about the food, which was fantastic and great, but what made the evening outstanding was the crew at 560N! Bravo on a superb dining experience folks!"

"Was not "wowed" by food or service. Seems like a novelty restaurant relying primarily on the panoramic view. I enjoy Asian fusion food, but this was a disappointment. Service was slow. I ordered the selection which offers a sampling of 5 menu options, which is supposed to be served "family style". The food was not delivered together. I waited quite a while for each of the first 4 tastes to be delivered. When I could finally get a wait person's attention, I asked where the 5th portion was. When delivered, it tasted too bad to eat. I won't return for the fare."

Our seating was at 7:00 and we had views of Dallas in the light and also the lite up Dallas skyline. Our table had two waiters that tended to every need. "The view of Dallas skyline was spectacular! The menu was lited and not at all friendly to persons with shell fish allergies. Portions were large and could have been shared even though the waiter informed us that they were sized got one. My husband and I easily could have shared a main entree and one of the lesser expensive side dishes. Our weightier steared us away from doing that. The wines and drinks were pricey, as were the desserts. Overall a very expensive dinner for two."

"You start with the amazing view from Reunion Tower, 561 feet above downtown Dallas. As your table slowly rotates 360 degrees, you look out over downtown's amazing architecture, the vast views of north Texas, and, if you time it right, an amazing sunset.
The staff is courteous and attentive. Downright friendly, without being obtrusive.
The food was beyond my expectations...and my expectations were pretty high. After all, it's Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. From the amazing chicken and the outstanding dumplings, to the incredible beef filet, everything was tasteful, tender, and spiced just right. I'm normally a picky eater, but nothing on the table went uneaten!
