Trattoria Pulcinella is a nice family run business; we offer a lot of specials from our native Italy, like Wild boar prosciutto cured in the house, lamb, veal and fish's imported from Mediterranean sea. BUON APPETITO
"First: the servers are very friendly and helpful. We booked this last minute on a Saturday night and it was practically the only place with open tables. When we arrived it was almost empty so we were a little worried. However, we had a very good meal here. The pastas were fresh and cooked perfectly, the sauces were tasty and the meat dishes, while standard Italian fare, we're prepared we'll and a pleasure to eat. Our dessert was a pair tart and it was excellent. The wines were good enough and the check was reasonable. We will return."

"They were very kind to bring a birthday dessert with a candle to my friend who was celebrating her birthday without us having made that specific request. We were disappointed, however, that the tiramisu was the only dessert available that evening. It was a bit strange that they had a number of specials listed on the blackboard which also weren't available."

"Maria and Giovanni are just wonderful hosts. The service is warm, relaxed, familial. I recommend the smoke mozeralla particularly. We went for my daughter's 10th birthday--she loved it; the treated us really well."

"We love this place, a culinary refuge from the frenzy of nearby Harvard Square. The storefront dining room brings you into a european atmosphere with striking with wooden bough ceiling beams, romantic lighting, white linen tables, open kitchen at back, Wonderful authentic Italian cuisine prepared with finesse, no gloppy red sauce here, menu varies seasonally with a range of daily specials. Our party enjoyed a perfect seasoned medium rare grilled tuna steak special, as well as pasta with fresh mussels and clams, grilled branzino, and a simple elegant pasta with sauce of san marzano cherry tomatoes and basil. Shared tarta di pere with cappucino and small glasses of port made a sweet finish. Family owned, superb service, never stuffy."

"If I was able to give it 6 stars, I would. This is simply one of those rare, very rare, places. Except for the currency we paid the bill with, there is no distinction between it and some of the most wonderful, off the beat and path, restaurants you would find in Italy. It truly ranks among the best - in food, in service and in ambiance."

"The way my wife and I refer to Pulcinella is that is a hidden gem, a cosy place on a nice quiet Cambridge neighbourhood with excellent food and service, we are always surprised that is not super busy, maybe I shouldn't be writing this review so it continues to be accessible."

"The food was good, a little on the bland side, but it was good. I would have loved to see more choices on the menu. Very friendly and knowledgable staff...."

"I almost did not write this wanting to keep this GEM to ourselves. Having lived in Italy and eaten in Italian restaurants around the world, I know this one is really great."

"Again, we had a terrific dining experience at T. Pulcinella. The only minor request is to turn up the lights just a tad. Otherwise, the Fish and Veal dishes were delicious, the service cordial and timely."

"Why bother going to the north end with this neighborhood gem in Cambridge? Excellent food, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Clearly a family-run business that takes pride in all aspects of food and service. The chef happily created something we wanted based loosely on the menu - we didn't ask to go off menu, the server offered when she heard my husband and I talk about our preferences!"
