"We celebrated 2 occasions. We were able to make reservations on line. We were seated as we got to the restaurant . The order was taken and we didn't have to wait too long for food to be served. Great food and service! We will definately recommend and return."

"It was an impromptu family dinner with my family, my parents and my aunt. My dad, who has Parkinsons, and sometimes finds it hard to eat steaks,ribs, etc. had the best meal of his life. He even told the waitress to "give his compliments to the chef". It was very cute, and I was so happy that he was happy!

"With it being Mothers Day I wanted to take my late 70's mother to a nice restaurant and have an enjoyable time with good food. I had been to this restaurant about a year ago and had enjoyed the food and the service. I wasn't disappointed in any way this time, the service was stellar and food presentation and taste was excellent. We really enjoyed the fact that we did not feel rushed in any way even with it being a very busy day for the restaurant. Thanks Canyon Creek for a very enjoyable afternoon with a special lady in my life. cheers!"

"Chose this restaurant for my hubby's birthday because we've driven by quite a few times and have never been in. Were extremely disappointed to say the least. Server was not friendly at all. Waited at least 30 mins for food after finishing drinks/appetizers. Ordered a $31 Filet Mignon and it came out looking like "jail food"....mashed potato and the steak....not even a sprig of green or a piece of some kind of veggie to add a touch of colour. Server might've walked by a few times and looked at us....but didn't ask if we needed anything at any time. We decided to skip dessert (even though it was my hubby's bday) and opted for the bill instead. The best thing about dinner were the chocolate mints we found in a bowl on our way out."

"The hostest was good, very friendly and sat us quickly. Server was ok, could have been more plesant. I ordered the Raviolli but they didn't have it. Apparently the kitchen haven't made them and it is made fresh daily. You would think they would prep it prior to opening. I've been to OTHER Canyon Creek location and enjoy their food. I would not recommend this location."

"I was disappointed in our experience. I had planned a special family outing as was raving about your restaurant to my cousin who had never been there... And you came up short. First. we had table for 6 people which included three adult males over 6 feet tall and they tried to seat us at a booth. Not surprisingly we didn't fit, we asked if we could move to another table, they said they would get back to us no one ever did so we ended up just seating ourselves. My cousin ordered the porkchop and it came out cold in the centre but charred on the outside. He asked for it to be warmed up and it was still cold. My steak which I ordered medium rare was more grey than pink. A big dissapointment all around."

"Very enjoyable evening for us with our two guests. It was not crazy busy like the downtown Toronto location, so the noise level was great for dining. We could all chat and hear each other as well, which was exactly what we were looking for since we had not gotten together since Christmas on a usually very busy night at most Chop House/Steak type places. We all enjoyed all of the entree's we ordered. Two of us had the amazing prime rib of beef, cooked to our preference, another the wonderful always great Cedar Planked Salmon as well as the meatloaf! All beverages were great and so was the pumpkin crème Brule which was good too!"

"I held my birthday here this year and am very please with how well everything went. It was a group of 26 and usually that could potentially be a disaster waiting to happen. Everyone got exactly what they ordered, food was great and we didn't have to wait long for it either. Separate bills were offered to avoid any confusion. Overall great service and great for large parties. I would recommend."

"Not Impressed! even though we had reservation we had to wait approx 15 mins for a table, and were seated right beside the kitchen, noise level was too excessive, felt rushed - all apps did not arrive at the same time, - We recieved our apps prior to getting our drinks - for the main meal, one person in our party wanted extra veggies with their meal instead of potatoes, she did not get extra, and the rest of us at the table did not get any veg at all. Waiter later said he put the order in that way and asked if we wanted them - it was too late as we were done eating by the time he returned. Dessert came, and two of the browines were burnt and were totally uneatable - would not go back"

"Although I read some reviews that weren't on the positive side, I decided to check it out anyway as I had received a multi restaurant gift card. I thought it's not much of a gamble if I am not spending my money. I made a reservation for 8:30 on a Sunday night assuming the restaurant would be open until 11pm. They actually close on Sundays at 10 pm. I was initially worried about feeling rushed but as it turns out the fear was unfounded. The service was prompt and friendly throughout. Food was great, hot when it arrived. My boyfriend's steak was exactly how he asked for it. My prime rib quesadillas were spicier than I had anticipated but that's OK. Dessert was good and not overpriced. Overall a great dining experience."

"We arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation and were told to wait by the side as they were cleaning up a table. We waited for about 15 minutes and during that time, others were being seated almost immediately. One couple came in after us (we too were a group of 2) with the same reservation time and they were seated immediately. I approached the hostess to find out how much longer and although we had checked in with her 15 minutes earlier, it appeared she didn't remember us nor did she remember to call us when a table was ready. Thank goodness we reminded her about our reservation as it looked like she forgot.Service was slow and it looked like they were short waiters that night.Food was cold as well. Not sure we'll be back."

"We had the Savour York Region special menu. It was all wonderful, but my only complaint was that there was not a vegetable on the plate for the 2 of us who ordered the steak. What does a few green beans cost in the grand scheme of things?"

"My husband and I really enjoyed our visit for lunch on Friday, March 1st. We were drawn by the 'Savour York Region' offering. We thought the price was reasonable and the lunch menu varied with very decent portion sizes. We were seated at a quiet booth and our waiter was as attentive as he could be for what appeared to be a busy lunch time...perhaps a bit understaffed? I really liked the ease of the online reservation as well as the instant confirmation. Our only suggestion is that customers shouldn't be left waiting upon 1st entering the restaurant -- we waited a couple of minutes for the hostess to greet us."

"Food was good. We had the roast beef which was not quite as good as the keg ( but close) and you got salad and vegetables as well as a side dish included. Overall it was a good value. The restaurant itself was nice and comparable to a keg or similar restaurant."

"We've been here several times and we'll go back again. Usually we order the steak and I always order the Caesar Salad. This time we had the "Surf & Turf" special. It was OK, but not as good as I'd hoped - or as good as I've come to expect here. (Also, I thought it was steak; not roast beef, but that may have been my fault. I should have looked.)
In addition, the Caesar Salad that came with the special was not up to "standard". The dressing I'm used to here tastes "fresh made"; not from a bottle. It's why I always order it when I go there. This time it tasted like it was scaled down because it was part of a "special" ... and therefore not worthy of what I've come to consider as the restaurant's normal standard excellence."

"Our Valentine special, roast beef & Lobster. The lobster was a bit dry and one of the roast beef had an extensive amount of fat.
Other than that, the rest of the meal was delicious, great service and ambiance. We enjoy going to the Canyon Creek and appreciate some of the promotional incentive they put out to encourage diners.

"The biggest expectation of a chop house was them serving good steaks. That was a major disappointment. Me and my wife ordered tenderloin and NY steak, and both looked okay visually, but were totally not tasty. Not sure what they did to the meat, but there was no taste to it whatsoever.
Additionally, we have made a reservation for Valentine's night via OpenTable, and we were given a table while a number of booths were available. When we asked for a booth, we were told that those were reserved for people who specifically indicated so in their reservation. How were we supposed to know that they have booths if we have never been to the restaurant before?"
