"Our dining experience was mediocre to poor at best. The food was nothing special. Two of us had the chicken/rosemary with sausage...very little rosemary flavoring and better still no sausage was in the dish. The barbque spareribs were flavorful and tender. The 2 orderes of gnocchi were bland and lacked in portion size. The salmon dish was ok.We also had a issue with repeated requests to turn up the airconditioning temperature. It was cold enough to hang meats. You would think after repeated requests you would oblige your customers. There were 3 tables around our party of 6 and all were complaining about the same issue.Overall interior is pleasing to the eye. Main dining area is much better that the tables set up in the bar area."

"My husband and I went to Harvest for our wedding anniversary. I had written that it was our anniversary and asked for a nice table. They couldn't have been more accommodating. The waitstaff was wonderful and they brought us complementary champagne for our anniversary and wished us a happy one several times.
Harvest has always been one of our favorites, but they really went above and beyond last night."

"1st time there for my boyfriend's b'day. We were greeted & seated immediately. while waiting for others to join we were served bread, 3 spreads & our mixed drinks which were some of the best Cosmo s I've ever had. Here's where the roughness starts. The restaurant was almost empty.We didn't see a server for 1\2 an hour after our drinks & guest arrived. 3 servers gave the specials at different times. One didn't know what a Nepolian salad special actually was, when it arrived it was still a mistery. Best rename it. my fish was so greasy I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend's boulibaise was in a murky, thick caramel colored"broth".not very tasty. The 3rd entrée escapes me. Polite servers. Won't be back Too many other places that are exceptional."

"As good as it gets in Northern Jersey! The food is wonderful! Daily specials are both unique and well conceived. The service prompt,professional and knowledgeable. The wine list is well priced and expansive. Not just a special occasion place,but a special place for any occasion. Worth a special trip. Kudos to the chef and owner. Also,the place is gorgeous!"

"We discovered Harvest last year through OpenTable and this was our third time back. The food is consistently excellent, the service attentive and professional. This was our first time there for brunch, and it did not disappoint. Harvest is definitely on our list of "must go" places."

"This lovely restaurant in Closter is wonderful...the ambiance (high ceilings, fireplace, nice mood), service and the food all great. We had the miso crusted bronzino and it was the best. A bit noisy but energetic. The menu is diversified and offers many choices. The bar area gets quite a crowd...there was a band playing music and it drew a large group of younger people out to enjoy the evening. The dining area draws a sophisticated dining crowd."

"I believe this is a excellent choice for dinner, when the regular chef is doing the cooking. Lunch items usually don't match up to the flavor of dinner. However, the desserts are really delicious--and we've tried them all!!"

"we had a wonderful brunch last sunday, 2/24. the service was excellent, the ambience perfect and the food delicious. we sat by the fireplace and felt like we were in a cabin in vermont. the fragrance coming from the fireplace and the aroma of the delicious food blended together to make our experience as pleasant to our noses as it was pleasant to our "tummies". we will certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone we know."

"The restaurant is lovely, especially on a snowy night with a wood burning fireplace.
The menu is adventurous, with wild boar, venison and buffalo. Their tuna tartare was delicious and a good size portion--just the right amount of spice, served with toast; venison in a cherry cognac sauce was outrageous--sweet and tender; the scallops, salmon and striped bass were delicious and perfectly done. The chef was willing to make some changes to side dishes which is always appreciated. Their profiteroles with hazelnut ice cream and chocolate sauce are so delicious and the banana croustade was luscious.
Drinks were done perfectly and the service was excellent. There wasn't an empty table but the servers were terrific. Will be back soon."
