"We had an outstanding meal at Orchard, complete with complimentary amuse bouche and sweets at the end, on a very quiet evening with only three other tables with diners . In our past visits, given the high prices here, there has always been a glitch or two that has kept us from a memorable dining experience, . Happily, not this time. The smooth and luscious foie gras and a nice beet salad started us off and were followed by a lovely loin of veal and halibut entrees. Our dessert was a five chocolate tasting, a bit of a mystery because two of the items did not have discernible chocolate, but tasty nevertheless. The service was very professional."

"I brought my Mom to The Orchard for Mother's Day. It's a beautiful restaurant and I loved the fact that the chef came out frequently to check on his guests. The hostess was absolutely wonderful and gracious! I was warned that service would be slow, and it was painfully so! There is a balance between discreet, non-pushing out service, and "reading the table". Our reservation was at 6:45 and we left at 9:30 after practically begging multiple servers for our bill. The food was absolutely delicious and I would absolutely go there again. The personal touches were amazing and very much appreciated. It made my Mom feel so special. My feedback is to speed the service up in between "turtle" and "hare". There has to be a better middle ground."

"This past Saturday we had a 8:00pm reservation for The Orchard. We chose The Orchard because we went last year for a birthday celebration and enjoyed it so much, we bought a $25 gift certificate on Restaurant.com to return for a special occasion. At 8:25pm, we still had no menus, no wine, no water nor were we served bread yet. Minutes later, the waiter literally plopped two menus on the table and disappeared. He returned about 8:45pm to open our wine, poured 1/2" in our glasses and disappeared. Our order was finally taken at 9pm. Appetizers arrived about 9:30, dinner by 10:15 and dessert close to 11:00pm. To make the evening even more memorable, they refused my 'gift certificate' because it was Mothers Day weekend. Never again."

"Pretty restaurant and its fun to have a special occassion restaurant where you BYOB because of no liquor license, liked that part of the meal. But the waiters and hostess seemed overwhelmed and service was very slow. Dinner for 2 (salad, entree, dessert) took 3+ hours, mostly due to time just waiting for server to remember we were there. But atmostphere is very nice and we were not in a hurry, so it was fine, just aware how understaffed it seemed. The food was good and a little uneven too, but overall experience felt nice but for the price, slightly unsatisfying."

"I celebrated my 9th anniversary at the Orchard, and could not have been more pleased. Although I have lived in Ksq for many years, this was my first visit to the Orchard, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From my early stop by to drop off our beverages for the evening (BYOB) to the service at dinner to the quality of the food, it was exceptional. When we arrived for dinner, our beverages were in an ice tub chilling and our red wine was next to the table. Finally, my wife's dessert plate had "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was a nice touch to cap the evening."

"As a former student of Gary Trevisani, I can attest to his high standards for ingredients as well as his meticulous cooking methods. His menu is very creative, yet works within the structure of his classic French training. The room is reminiscent of the restaurants I've eaten at in Europe and the service is very attentive. My wife and I dined at The Orchard Restaurant for our 2nd wedding anniversary and we can't wait to go back with friends!"

"This was my third time dining at The Orchard and it just gets better with each visit. The party of four came The Orchard at my suggestion and I was thrilled when everyone raved about their food, the service and the atmosphere. "We have dined at The Orchard 5-6 times over the past 3 years. Service is always impeccable. Foot is reliably very good and sometimes great. Ambiance is somewhat lacking in that the main room has white walls with minimal decor and tables relatively close together. That being said it is one of our favorite restaurants in the Kenneth Square area and anyone we have taken there has been very complimentary regarding the overall experience."

"I really have nothing bad I could possibly say... it was a wonderful experience... although with typical first class french restaurant... I was still a little hungry when I left... but then that is why the french are thin and healthy and I am fat and out of shape... One of the most wonderful experiences out I have had in a very long time. A little expensive for a standard night out to dinner, but worth every penny... I would go back soon and often... for a special occasion... Besides the food... the place was SPOTLESS... cleanest restaurant I think I have EVER been in... every knife, fork, spoon, glass... spotless. Windows... Spotless... No dust on the artwork... I know I am nuts, but I notice these things... The service was A+ as well..."

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at The Orchard Restaurant. We were promptly seated and staff was very attentive to our needs from start to finish. Appetizer included the Lobster Tart (special of the night) and The Orchard Salad followed by the main courses; Lamb Shank (Osso Bucco style) and the Scallops. Both meals were perfectly presented and full of flavor. For desert we split the Chocolate sampler. Throughout the meal we were presented with other tastings which was a pleasant surprise. The amuse-bouches where surprising and fantastic!"

"We were seated in a very quiet area, BUT the 4 folks seated next to us were quite rude and intermittently incredibly loud, laughing so hard that one lady fell off her chair onto the floor. This was NOT the fault of the restaurant but really interfered with our dining conversation. In addition, it was a very cold night outside and there was a very cold breeze on our feet throughout dinner. Our feet didn't recover even during a long car-ride home. The food and service were terrific; the price was appropriate."
