"Loved this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food delicious. My husband had the filet and I had the salmon. Both meals were wonderful. The staff was great - it was our anniversary so they took a photo and emailed to us the next day. I would definitely recommend and go back!"

"We have been coming back here for almost 8 years now and honestly we have never had a bad meal. We love to sit at the bar so we get a good feel for things. Mary is amazing. Fun and lots of info about the island. She even gave my wife some real estate advice too! Cannot wait to come back yet again. Oh yeah, the food is 5 star as well. Bert salad and Maui Onion Soup to start , fresh Hawaiian Bass in the middle, and cheese cake to finish off the night."

"This year's visit to the Lahaina Grill was very special as it combined getting to spend time with our nine month old grandson while also celebrating my wife's birthday and Mother's Day. The last evening of our Maui family vacation is always at the Lahaina Grill. It is a beautiful setting with lovely, original artwork; the best food on the island; and our server, Richard, was the best we have ever had. Get this - they placed a 3'x3' piece of craft paper under the high chair so if the baby dropped anything it never touched the floor. And!! Each of the ladies hung their handbags from purse hangers so they did not touch the floor either. And the food was to die for! All in all it was the best experience of our 10-dayHawaiian family vacation."

"We went to celebrate our Anniversary and everything was perfect. The hostess found us the best table for us and sat us with a server who was knowledgeable and passionate. The server was a professional and knew exactly when to talk and when to leave us alone, he definitely knew when to serve. My girlfriend had the wagyu beef ravioli with a mushroom sauce that went well with EVERYTHING and i had the 'cake walk' appetizer for our first course which was an eruption of flavor (especially loved the chili accents). I had the Ribeye Special modified with the server's recommended sauce change, which was AMAAAZING! Our final course was the famous "Road To Hana," definitely a chocolate lover's paradise - or as it is known.. "heaven on earth.""

"In the arid place for good food that is Maui this restaurant is an exception. Although overpriced like every other here, at least it is giving you something for the money. The food is really good and the service is excellent.
It is a pity that it is indoor in a place like Maui where you can be outside almost around the clock and year,
Perhaps they could/ improve in the only deffect I could see. Everybody is running all the ime which creates a kind of nervous atmosphere. I believe slowing done will add to the comfortable ambience this place has.
A nice gesture was that the next day after our dinner we got a thank you mail by the owner for eating there."

"Went to Lahaina Grill on the 30th of April with my wife for our first dinner in Maui. I had the Spring Roll appetizer with the Seabass special for the day and my wife had the fried oysters app and scallops for her entree. Sadly, both appetizers were mediocre and the sauces seemed badly matched. Her oyster sauce was better with my spring rolls and my soy sauce was better with her oysters. Both drinks I got were pretty bad, however my wife enjoyed her drink. The entrees were good, but for the price listed and the location of the restaurant I expected much better. With the option of many quality restaurants on Maui with better food for cheaper, I would recommend anyone visiting for a short time visit other places before heading here."

"My youngest daughter got married in Maui (we have been coming here of years). The only place she wanted to have dinner post-wedding was the Lahaina Grill. The food was perfectly prepared, innovative, fresh. Service is just right level. Atmosphere is frienly and casual. Food is expensive, but certainly worth it for the occasional treat. We have probably eaten at the restaurant at least 15 times over a dozen of so visits to Maui and gone through a couple of changes of management. Food has never varied in quality. Service has never slipped. It's our favorite treat in Maui."

"We've dining at the Lahaina Grill for 15 years (previously it was called David Paul's Lahaina Grill). In all the times we've eaten at this restaurant they seem to get better and better. Everyone from front of house, bar, waiter and water person was a delight. We arrived earlier than our reservation but this was no problem as the front of house lady arranged for two open seats at the bar for us to check the wine list and order a nice bottle of Turley Zinfandel, that wasnt actually on the wine list but the bar lady found it on her cellar inventory computer for us. The waiter, Eustacio?, was very helpful and friendly and kept checking in on our progress. Overall a great place to dine and at the top of our list of places to eat in Lahaina."

"We love this restaurant and eat here about every 4 weeks or so. Unfortunately this time wasn't one if our best experiences. The wait staff was great as always however I think the kitchen was struggling. Food took a long time to come out. We were there over an hour before our food came out. They were so backed that when we left we saw a very long line of customers with reservations still waiting to get in. While the food wasn't bad (we've never had bad food here) it was a little overlooked. Shrimp was rubbery, the fish just a little overdone, and even the triple berry pie had been cooked too long. Nobody can be in top of their game all the time and tonight they were just a little off theirs. Still one of the best restaurants on Maui"

"The appetizers were the favorite part of our meal. As a suggestion, order three apps and share an entree, which is big enough on it's own. I was dumb and let the waiter talk me into a steak since we got a nice bottle of Nebbiolo. But if you're in Hawaii, get the fish. Nice restaurant, definitely pricey, the two of us spent about $350, wine was $130, but if you're looking for a nice restaurant in Maui especially in Lahaina and you don't mind spending some money it's worth a visit."

"The resturant was hot. This is Maui, and they should've had air conditioning. Also, we felt our server was in a rush with our dining experience. The tables are close together, so be prepared to know your neighbor. My wife's meal was great (boneless ribs). The salmon dish was just so so. This place is suppose to be best in this part of Maui, and we feel they came up way short on our expectations. They get three (3) stars."

"The last of 10 dinner experiences on both the big island and Maui. What a great decision, as this was the best dining experience that we had on our vacation. The service was first class. The wine list was great, and made it difficult to choose. We started with the spring rolls and the Maui onion soup. Go with the soup. We got the short ribs and the Hawaiian sea bass special. Our forks kept reaching across to the others plate as both were exceptional. And then there was dessert...glorious dome of mousse. Our next trip to Maui will not happen without a reservation to Lahaina Grill."

"Place was very nice and as advertised the food was fantastic. Service was good but waiter didn't care for my wife not ordering Entre and we chose a lower priced bottle of wine from a taste test he gave us. Best chicken dish I've had in a very long time though. Pretty Pricey so we were a little surprised by that but overall great experience."

"The food was beyond terrific. We celebrated a 30th anniversary and this is one place that really knows how to prepare fish. Honestly, the only problem for what is a very fine restaurant is that it is in Lahaina."

"The Lahaina Grill shines like a flawless precious gem. The restaurant achieved a sophistication not widely found on Maui, by us thus far at least. Tasteful, colorful art work and table presentation. Each of the staff heartily welcoming upon arrival and throughout the meal.
The food was highly satisfying, with surprisingly ample portions for a high-caliber place. The pork shank with mashed potatoes had the comfort of home but executed carefully and more deliciously. The poke was good but forgettable, but the risotto underneath was creamy, salty, and wonderful. The golden and red beet salad was a fine accompaniment, especially paired with a pinot noir recommended by Justin. Lastly, the free bread given out was a real joy."

"This was our third year to visit this restaurant and our the third time not disappointed. First off, a reservation is a must, if eating around7PM. We have always had the Ahi and Foie Gras appetizer, but we added the Ahi Poke this time. It quickly became our now best starter at the grill. We split a beet salads that was just enough for two. The hot buns and herbed butter was a nice accompaniment. We both opted for seafood. My wife selected the fish of the day. The fish which I tasted (I wish I could spell it) was moist, mild and of good texture served ion s bed of garlic mash potatoes and spinach and accompanied with a tomato reduction. I opted for the shrimp with firecracker shrimp. The waiter warned me that the dish was spicy. I like spicy"
