Reopened in 2009 by chef and owner Curry Martin, Aspen Grille is Myrtle Beach's freshest new dining option. Dishes are based on traditional Southern cuisine, with Chef Martin's own personal twist. "We enjoyed our dining experience here very much. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The meal was worth the visit Great taste and beautiful presentation. Our only complaint was an responsive chef. He was not customer friendly and although he did not ruin our meal it did take a little away from the experience. After enjoying a nice meal we let the waiter know had a coupon for a free desert without even looking he said it didn't qualify with the meals we ordered. We had just spent over 100.00 for our meal and drinks for 2 . He did nothing to try and explain. It was not the money the desert was only 7.00 it was the unconcerned approach taken by the waiter. We would still highly recommend this restaurant for the food alone."

"My guest an I were very pleased with our meals at Aspen Grill. They had a nice guitar player providing good background music. We enjoyed the house salad. My guest had the market fish special which was excellent. I had the sea scallops on vegetable risotto with fried spinach on top. It was outstanding. Enjoyed one of the chef's recommended wines, a Rhone style red and it was one of the best wines I've had in a long while. Our server was personable, without any hint of being pretentious."

"This was not our first time at Aspen Grille and will not be our last. Our table was ready upon arrival. The service was friendly and efficient through out the evening. There is a nice variety of menu items to choose from and everyone at our table decided on something different. Everyone commented that their meal was excellent. Nice place."

"I found this restaurant from an online search and was very apprehensive because I based it ALL on the online reviews. Well... needless to say it was GREAT. We had reservations for 4, for my birthday, and from the time we entered until the time we left, we were well taken care of and the food was great too ! Thanks for a wonderful birthday! "We found this local gem, through Yelp and Open Table. After reading all the reviews and checking out the website, we decided to make reservations. We asked for a quiet round table, and that's what we got. Wine was half off in the bar, and a nice brand to boot! We had excellent service, and the food was spectacular! I would make this a must, next time I return. Our entire group gave them 10 stars out of five!"

"Aspen Grill was a pleasant oasis in a sea of mediocrity. The knowledgable staff presents the menu with enthusiasm and justifiable pride. Most entrees come in two sizes, medium and main. The smaller portion is perfect for my wife, who couldn't even finish it. It's also great after enjoying a generous starter. The menu offers a range of items for any taste. We had the short ribs and the sea scallops.
The food does not disappoint and the piano/singer combo was very enjoyable without being intrusive.
I will seek out the Aspen Grill the next time I'm in the area."

"It was so nice to find a place in Myrtle Beach that wasn't a burger joint or a place with a menu full of fried food. I had the aspargus and fennel soup to start. It was delicicious; light and creamy. For my entre I had the surf and turf Aspen style and it was fabulous. My steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce over the lobster was perfect.
I will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in Myrtle Beach."

"We were very disappointed with our experience especially after reading all of the reviews. Our waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu at all. She seemed very disturbed that we were asking questions. It took so long for our food to come out. We were a table of 4 and it took 15 minutes for our waitress to come over. Then 30 minutes later she took our order. It took another 40 minutes to get our food. We had to ask for refills, bread, ect. About 45 minutes into our dining experience a table of golfers came in, about 13 men. She gave them amazing service. They were treated like royality. It felt and seemed like she was more interested in that table bc her tip was going to be more than what we were going to leave. dessert was bad"

"When this restaurant opened 10years ago, it was a fun place; menus changed regularly so you never knew what would would be featured.The 2nd incarnation of Aspen Grille was o.k. And that's about it, so when I heard that the new chef was drawing good reviews I thought I'd check it out. When we arrived there was a solo jazz player playing; my wife turned to me and said"they have the music turned up too loud". That was the first negative " note" of the evening. We sat for ten minutes before being served and finally told our waitress that we were hungry and she brought us our bread which was our favorite part of our meal. "Although we have lived in the Myrtle Beach area for several years, this was my first visit to this excellent restaurant. My son and his wife from Chicago ate there last week and raved about it so much that we had to try it ourselves. Everything was first class from the appetizers to the desert, a very generous portion (more than enough for 3 of us) of a 10 layer cake. They offer a variety of unusual entrees so it was difficult to choose one. Our group of 3 had different entrees after sharing appetizers and all were excellent. Our server was great, the hostess kept checking on us and the pianist/singer in the background created a memorable evening. We will most definitely go back for more."

"Very Tasty! Entrees around $30-$40 and were well complemented with sides that agreed with the palate. Dad had shrimp and grits-I wouldn't call it spectacular, but it was a solid dish. Mom got short ribs, which was not the best choice, but again, agreeable. I got a strip steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Bacon Brussel Sprouts were dynamite!"

"This was an excellent experience. The food was amazing and the service was awesome. We loved the live music and look forward to experiencing Aspen Grill in the future when we visit Myrtle Beach.
We had booked Aspen Grill well in advance and they were very prepared with a wonderful seating location right by the entertainment. It was wonderful, thanks again."

"Menu selection and service was terrific. We shared the Shrimp & Grits as an appetizer...delicious! Beet salad and onion soup followed. The soup was actually too scorched to eat; the waiter handled it graciosly and removed it from our bill. Stuffed flounder and Ribeye for entrees, both were very well done. Service was attentive and the piano player added a nice ambience for our meal. Would absolutely recommend."

"The Aspen Grille was a nice meal out. There was nothing really bad, or really spectacular--but it was a good meal out. The piano player was a nice touch, but the lounge singer was just ok. The piano would have been enough. The restaurant was busy. I am glad we had reservations.My husband got the meal of the night--surf and turf with the Aspen sauce. It was really well done! My grouper was done with a light touch of lemon sauce. But, the vegetables were over cooked and mushy."

"The Aspen Grill is one of Myrtle Beach's best kept secrets! Found on-line while looking for an outstanding restaurant serving locally raised food. Great ambiance, friendly staff. The menu and wine list provided awesome choices. So much so, that I invited a colleague, who just arrived in town Friday PM, to experience an impressive restaurant. Collleague agreed! Jim, once again, was an awesome server, very knowledgeable of the menu & wine list. He provided customer satisfaction once again! The was prepared as requested. On Thursday night an awesome,acoustical guitarist played great music adding to a most memorable dining experience! You've got to experience Aspen Grill!"

"We've dined at Aspen Grille on a number of occasions and it continues to be one of our favorite Grand Strand restaurants. For an appetizer we ordered the cold water oysters and ended up ordering a second plate they were so good. For an entree I ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly. Other entrees in our party were the filet mignon and rib eye steak. It's a plus to be able to order a smaller size on some of the entrees for the less hearty appetites. For dessert I split the bread pudding with a friend and it was the best I've had. Overall a wonderful experience for the entire group."
