"This was our first visit to Garfields and we had an enjoyable evening. It began with the inviting attitude of the hostess, and ended with a feeling of relaxation and comfort. Our waiter was knowledgable of the menu and his dinner recommendation, The Caribbean Seared Scallops, were to die for. My Carbonaro was excellent and the live entertainment offered the perfect atmosphere to a special occasion. We'd definitely revisit your establishment.

"We had reservations for four, table was set for two. We had to ask for addional settings. We had brunch and did not realilze toast did not come with our breakfasts, so we all ordered toast ala carte. They brought the toast , unbuttered, and then brought a basket of dinner rolls???? We had to ask for coffee and ice tea refills, as well as butter and jam. Service was good, but you have to ask for everything, very little infomation offered to make the dining experience enjoyable for the price. But - a great view!"

"As we live on the other side of town, shall we say I've wanted to go here for years. Not disappointed, it was most pleasurable. For mothers day as chaotic as it can be, the service was excellent, food good and we were not rushed. Looking forward to taking my wife back their for lunch"

"My son took me to lunch at 2 pm on Mother's Day. Garfield's was very busy. The service was good although it was difficult to get our servers attention a few times. She had tables outdoors as well as indoors. The menu gave options for appetizer, entree and dessert. It was delicious and well priced. The complimentary champagne was a nice bonus!
Tha smbiance is wonderful! It is like dining outdoors while you are indoors. Beautiful view of the lake. I would recommend Garfield's to anyone who enjoys dining out. We will be back soon."

"Really doesn't feel like Vegas! Took my mom there for Mother's Day and she loved it! Said she felt like on vacation which was exactly what I was going for! Food was delicious but it is a quite of a wait. I wouldn't recommend going there for a quickie. All worth the wait though! We were both very happy and it is pleasant sitting out on the patio which contributes to making the wait enjoyable."

"I had seen the reviews, which were generally good, but my wife and I loved the ambiance. Reminded us of being on the water in Newport Harbor, or as close as you can get in Vegas. Food was good, my scallops were good, wife's pasta was also good, but cocktails are mediocre.
Our appetizer, a fire roasted artichoke, was outstanding and service was attentive."

"There is hardly a nicer spot in Vegas to have lunch on a pretty day -overlooking the water, with shade trees, and very pleasant staff. The food is very good and nicely presented. We return here about once a month for lunch, and any guests are always surprised and happy with how comfortable it is."

"Garfields' was more than what we expected! The view, the decor, the ambiance and our very professional, friendly and dangerously handsome waiter treated us as if we owned the place! He even took a lovely photo of us at our table!
As we live in NC, it was our 1st time there & we would be steady customers if we didn't live so far away. :(
John & I ate the best Reuben sandwich we ever had in our lives....it was awesome!!!
I'll be sure and make a "rez" in advance again so we may have another lovely brunch in 2014!

"From the Twin Cities, and found this place on the Open Table app and made a reservation back in October 2012. The food is well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The menu has a variety of options for all types of diners. Came back in March and had to have lunch there again. Great service was provided by the same waiter we had the first time."

"Our waiter was not attentive at all. When we asked for more bread/rolls, we were told they were all out due to a large wedding earlier. We had to ask for everything except refills for water. No substitution etc. was offered for the lack of bread. It wasn't very busy in the restaurant. The food was excellent! Disappointing service etc. ruined what could have been a more enjoyable dining experience!"

"Food was very good. Service started out slow. It took about 15 minutes just to take the drink order even though only 3 or 4 tables were occupied. Service got better, but should have been better from the start. There was a 2 person band playing. They were very good and played great music but they were WAY TOO LOUD. Music should accompany the meal, not overwhelm it. Diners should be able to carry on a conversation during the meal, not communicate by sign language because they cannot hear each other. We asked the waiter to have the band reduce the volume which they did, but after a while it got way too loud again. As I said, we enjoyed the music but it was too loud."

"A lovely little American fare restaurant on the banks of the Desert Shores Lake.
The decor inside is slightly dated, maybe even old fashioned, but that somehow lent to the charm of this restaurant. It does not have the feel of a typical Las Vegas establishment, which a nice change.
We had a large booth beside the back windows where we were able to look out at the lake, which glimmers in the night's moonlight, as we dined. That was a treat, especially here in the dry desert of Las Vegas!
The food was good. Not amazing or particularly noteworthy. The portions were generous and everything was served hot and just as ordered.
The service was great. Very attentive but not bothersome."
