"Christopher's was impressive when walking in. That being said, when we left it was a one and done. The atmosphere was great, very intimate, and service was also good. The price was moderately high, and we were unimpressed with what we received. They brought out one small roll each while we waited for our food (it took almost an hour for it to come out, it was not crowded) The appetizer was good, but extremely small.
I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium. It didn't come with salad or veg, just bland mashed potatoes. The filet was very good on one side, but burned and dry on the other. My wife ordered the steak medallions with shrimp. Her steak was cooked the same as mine, but she said that the shrimp was good.
Will not be returning."

"Everything was wonderful. We went here for the first time to celebrate our 5th anniversary. I loved how quiet the restaurant was and our waitress was phenomenal! "The steak was as good as you could dream for. For the price and reputation, though, the fruit on the desert should have been fresh. The portions could be better as well. As for the ambience, you couldn't ask for a better setting, then came the music. On a week night you'll have business people coming in for dinner. Try to keep the music a little less romantic and sappy until the later evening and the weekends."

I had the steak medallions with shrimp; the steak tasted very cheap in quality and the shrimp were chewy and bland. Not what you would expect for $45. My bf's food was about the same, overcooked shrimp and just ok beef. Your meal also doesn't come with soup or salad like their other location, but the prices are the same or higher??
They overcharged us on our drinks, which the waiter corrected once we told him, but it shouldn't have happened to begin with. They are trying to compete with Ruth's and Fleming's without the quality. Go there instead, we will next time."

"After having some difficulty locating the restaurant we were greeted warmly by the host who took the extra time to help us with directions. We were immediately seated at a beautifully set table. The service was slow from the beginning and only got slower when a large wedding party was in full swing in the other half of the restaurant. I noticed other tables waiting for service too. The host checked in on us more than the waiter. My rare steak was perfectly prepared but everything on the menu was ala carte and I felt overpriced."

"Absolutely incredible service. We felt welcome from the second we walked in. They go out of their way to make the guest has the best experience. The food was perfect! Lobster corn dogs were amazing! Best lobster in slc!! Huge chunks of lobster in tempura batter with a spicy aioli. It was delicious! The steaks and scallops were cooked perfectly, and so flavorful. Everything we ate was perfect!! You don't typically get seafood like this in SLC, but Christopher's has done it!"

"The food was pretty good. The only thing I had that knocked my socks off was the filet, but it's hard to mess that up. I had high hopes for their pork chop because it's a nice place. Unfortunately, it was a thick, tough chop with a little bbq sauce slapped on it. I was slightly disappointed with the food I will say the place had a very nice ambience. I'd try it again and order differently."

"My wife, adult son, and I had dinner at Christopher's on a Saturday evening to celebrate a special occasion. This was our first time eating here and we were all very pleased with the experience. The staff was very friendly and their service was excellent. The menu offerings were diverse and creative. We enjoyed a tasty "lobster corn dog" appetizer before dinner. We all had different steak meals and found that each one was cooked as ordered and delicious. We will definately return to Christopher's."

"Our experience at Christopher's was great! We had a gift certificate and took our good friends out for a "thank you" date. We went early on a Sunday evening. There were not a lot of people there and the staff were very attentive. Our waiter, Jake, even turned down the music that was a bit too loud in our area. Jake was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and kept a pleasant attatude. The appatizer was enough for the four of us, which I appreciated very much. The clam chowder was the best I have had. Everyone enjoyed their food and said it was cooked to perfection. The creme brule' was so good, we almost ordered another round. The prices are a little high, but the quality service is well worth it!"

"Christophers-our 1st choice for special occassion dining! On our last visit we celebrated my husbands birthday. We were greeted warmly, found a birthday card at our table & were served champagne for a birthday toast. The service was friendly & attentive. The food, as usual-perfectly delicious. Steaks-cooked exactly as ordered. We love the House salad & brussel sprouts. Our server surprised us with a special"flaming"apple/ice cream" dessert made just for us! Wonderful evening! "I had the filet mignon, and it was to die for! Such good meat. The clam chowder was great, and the creme brulee was excellent. Pretty pricey, compared to my usual fare, so probably best suited to a special ocassion. Nice quiet, romantic atmosphere; the tables felt private without being secluded. Not kid friendly, but a nice place for a night away from the family. Very attentive servers. We went for my birthday, and it was nice being greeted with a happy birthday card on the table. "If you are looking for value for your money, forget it! While the setting was nice, the food was just okay. The quality of the beef was good, but not cooked as ordered and the dessert was served still partly frozen. I've had tastier steaks at other national chains for half the price. Biggest complaint is that we went in for the early bird special; server offered the "special." When questioned about the difference, all the server said was the steak was about 2 oz. bigger without mentioning the price. My meal cost me $23 more than the early bird special. Mea culpa mea culpa I suppose."

"Our experience was totally awesome, we were treated great, the food was terrific and the service excellent! Would definatly go back again!! Our waitress fun and sociable and Adrean greeted us when we came in and then took us on a tour of the resturant since we had only been to the old one by the Perry Hotel. Beautiful!
There was a card on our table from the resturant wishing us a Happy Anniversary! Nice touch!
Never have we had calamari that was as tender and tasty as yours, and we've had a lot! The food was cooked to perfection! We were to full for dessert so Adrien gave us a certificate to come back!
We will definatly be back!"

"I threw my best friends's 32nd birthday dinner here. Christopher's staff was extremely accommodating, provided excellent service, and even made suggestions to help make the surprise better. The food was fantastic with reasonable portions for the price.
I would highly recommend Christopher's for a fine-dining experience for special occasions, corporate parties, and more."

"Some of the most tender, flavor packed steak my husband and I have tasted! Loved the grilled asparagus! I'm trying to eat healthy. The chef forgot my special order for a baked potato in place of mashed potatoes...My waiter offered me a free dessert as compensation. I asked if I could have another side of vegetables instead of dessert. I chose the twice-cooked brussels sprouts. I was surprised when the brussels sprouts were served with oil and honey-mustard...that was not mentioned on the menu. I'd like a greater variety of healthy vegetable options on the menu. The raspberry creme brulee was delightful. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the food, professional, good sense of humor."

"The food here is way too expensive for what you get and the quality was not good. I got the beef medalions and my husband got the salmon with barbeque sauce. Never put barbeque sauce on salmon. With the tip we spent 166.00 for two people which included four alcholic drinks. We got an appetizer too but can't remember which one. Oh yeah it was some type of bread with tomatoes on top. We would ask for more butter which took forever. The waiter took forever to bring our drinks. I'm sorry to complain so much but I was just so mad at how much we spent on two people for dinner. I will not be going back and will not recomend Christophers. If I was going to spend that much money I would spend it on Ruths Chris steak house because Ruths.great!"

"We dined early and were the first people in the restaurant. Our server was extremely courteous and made a wonderful recommendation of the steak and lobster special. One of the best steaks I have eaten in any restaurant and the lobster was cooked perfectly. My wife had steak and scallops. One of the few times I can remember that she didn't offer to share her food. I had to ask! Very nice wine list as well. We will definitely go back."

"Excellent ambiance and our waitress was very good. But the food was simply mediocre. When you pay $44 for a steak on an a la carte menu and receive a bill for $146 without any alcohol, you expect the food something special and it wasn't. The stuffed mushrooms were OK and the special Chritopher salad was average. The filet mignon was cooked correctly but had average flavor and the grilled asparagas side dish was overcooked and limp. Simply grossly overpriced for average quality of food."

"My date and I went here after our cheese course at the Melting Pot and decided that next time we are just going to skip the Melting Pot altogether. The service was excellent! They really went out of their way to accommodate our desires. This was especially nice after the poor experience we had had at the location further south. If you're wanting to try Christopers, skip the south location and go straight to the one downtown where Adrian and Eduardo will to everything in their power to make your night something special."
