Review 3 for Patou

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased. The restaurant was busy, but we never once felt rushed - we stayed just over two hours (we're talkers). Our service was friendly and enjoyably relaxed; a tad slow, but not annoyingly so. Plan accordingly if you're on a tight schedule.

The Valentine's menu was limited, but still offered plenty of choices. The house cocktails were fantastic, the food was excellent. I especially like that the house bread is more "amuse bouche" and less "harvest basket." We will definitely be back to try the normal menu and the larger dining area - we had a table by the bar, which was cozy and intimate. A perfect Valentine's experience.

Review 4 for Patou

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"Restaurant was very cold, most people near us were eating with their coats on. There was a half hour wait even though we had reservations, and when we were seated there were many open tables around us even though no one left while we were waiting. The food itself was decent but not worth the price. The soup course and appetizers were both cold, and the service was pretty inconsistent."

Review 5 for Patou

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"The Patou experience on Valentines Day was I suspect somewhat out of the ordinary because of the holiday. The food was quite good and well presented. The service was spotty, overzealous at times, and lacking at others. An inattention to detail, such as the table lacking bread plates or an unlit candle seemed to be the norm that evening. Apparently they had shifted tables for a larger crowd and the wait staff seemed confused. The food also was served a little too quickly on an evening where one wanted to enjoy the meal in a more leisurely way. Did I mention that the temperature in the main dining area was very cold? Overall, I enjoyed the food and the setting, but would hope for a warmer and more consistent experience the next time."

Review 6 for Patou

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"I found the decor interesting, but I liked it and so did my date. I could only describe it as shabby Barcelona. The service was very good and the food was delicious. The cream of mussel soup was outstanding. I will recommend Patou to my friends and family."

Review 7 for Patou

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"Service was friendly and food (except for lukewarm soup) was very good. Bar was not completely stocked (no bourbon and bartender did not know how to make a kir. Music was a bit loud and could have been a bit more conducive to dining in an upscale restaurant. But how does one run out of tea bags????"

Review 9 for Patou

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The food was incredible, I enjoyed everything I ordered and everything the rest of my party ordered. The waitress seemed distracted, I would have liked better service from her, but I guess it was ok for her since we were a big party and she didn't have to earn her tip. That aside I'd go back many many times!!!"

Review 14 for Patou

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"My experience at Patou was excellent. The staff were cordial and efficient. The service was prompt. I began my dinner with a pitcher of White sangria, which was full of fruit, sweet with just the right amount of wine. I enjoyed a cesaer salad and a white bean soup, which was truely outstanding. I dined on the Porc, for the main entree. The meat was tender and tasteful. I have to admit, the dessert, the apple tart, was a tad disappointing.
Overall, my dining experience was pleasant and I plan to return again in the near future. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Review 15 for Patou

Overall Rating 1.0 out of 5 (Poor)
"We did not enjoy our dining experience at Patou. It was our first and last time there. My NY strip steak was very tough and very fatty. The paella was extremely salty. Compared to Parc, which is also a French restaurant, it was terrible. The decor looked like it was just slapped together...with no thought."

Review 16 for Patou

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The unusual setting took a bit of "getting used to"but it was fine. Aside from the ordinary quality of the coffee and dessert, all of the food was very good and the service excellent. The extra course, a rather unusual and very tasty bean soup was noteworthy. We would gladly return for another meal sometime (possibly when the open grill was fired up). AH"

Review 17 for Patou

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)

Review 19 for Patou

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We went there for restaurant week. There were 5 of us. The food was actually excellent, all 4 courses. We had a bean soup which was tasty. The salmon tartare was good but not really outstanding. The escargot though and the mushrooms were exquisite. We all had the lamb shank which was really well cooked and very tasty. It took a little long to get our drinks at the beginning of the dinner and they were out of some of the wines we wanted however the chef suggested a different wine which turned out to be an excellent choice. Overall we were all very satisfied and we will definetly go back."

Review 21 for Patou

Overall Rating 1.0 out of 5 (Poor)
"The peach sangria tasted like they opened a can of peaches and dumped it into a pitcher. I don't recommend it. The service was poor. The kitchen was backed up so it took forever to get our food and when we did I was not impressed. I ordered the short ribs and ended up with a "short" rack of ribs which were tough. I will never go back there and would never recommend this place to anyone. It's ashame because the menu sounded great but the reality was not."

Review 25 for Patou

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"Food is nothing special. We ordered small plates so as to sample as much as possible. The Tuscan Bean Soup was nothing to write home about nor was the Morroccan Plate. The star of the menu in my opinion is the Boston Salad--nicely presented! The wait staff is excellent and attentive without being obtrusive! Interesting to note that with a reservation we were still seated in the bar area. This restaurant would also benefit if the turned the heat up!"
