De Santos is housed in a rustic but chic townhouse in the West Village where you can enjoy Traditional American, International and Mediterranean influenced cuisine from culinary genius Executive Chef Angel Vela. The dark wood and exposed brick dining areas are sexy and cozy. If you're lucky enough to get seated in the downstairs hidden jewel, the Janis, another ambiance will hit your senses as you dine with friends and family, breathing the same air as legends like Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan. This secluded speakeasy rock n' roll room is also used for VIP's and larger private parties. The wide marble topped bar is a great place for a cocktail but comfy enough to stay and indulge in a full meal. French doors open to a large outdoor patio with exposed brick archway and awning where, when dining by candlelight you'll feel transported to the Mediterranean. Wednesday through Saturday late hours there's mixed music and surprises. Only at De Santos. Welcome.
"Food was very good. It was a fun hotspot the night we went (sat. night). But it was def noisy and hard to hear one another. If you are looking for a fun lively hotspot then I totally recommend. There is a cute outside garden. Will def. go back when its warmer out!"

"Waiting for a friend, I got to chat with Eric (bartender) who was very friendly and also informed me of their Monday happy hour. Upon my friend's arrival, we were seated right away. The waiter was attentive w/ water/bread served immediately. My friend loved the look of the space; intimate & cozy.
For food, we ordered the Truffle Mac n Cheese as an appetizer, Shrimp Spinach Fettuccine and Rack of Lamb. You can def taste the truffle on the Mac n Cheese. It was decadent but a bit too liquidy (not sure how else to describe it) for my taste. I was delighted by the curry flavors of the pasta. Delicious and light! The rack of lamb perfectly cooked. Overall great food and good service.
It's a good date spot or a place to catch up with frie"

"Absolutely love De Santos for weekend brunch w/my friends. The artwork on the walls and decor is great. The food is delicious, especially the burger. The brunch cocktails are tasty and I like that there are plenty of drinks to choose from with the unlimited drink brunch deal... which is such a good deal! The staff is very friendly and attentive."

"My family and I had dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday night. We made this reservation well in advance, and arrived about 10 minutes early. The hostess was EXTREMELY rude and sat us at a table in the bar saying that there were no other tables, when really just looking around the room there were several empty tables. The manager saw where the hostess had seated us and immediately moved us to a much better table, as the first table was impossible to have dinner at and remained empty for the rest of the night (clearly the hostess had zero intelligence). The food was good overall. I would recommend the duck tacos, tuna tartare, and the grilled branzino. Apart from the awful hostess it was a good dinner."

"I love De Santos. Everytime we come, it is delicious + has great service. The salads are scrumptious, the tuna tartar is heaven, and I'm still dreaming about the truffled Mac & Cheese"

"The bread at the beginning is amazing... and so is the $55 ricotta gnudi with truffles (basically it's gnocchi) - but it's a really small portion... so if you can justify ordering a small $55 pasta dish go for it- my boyfriend and i split it as an appetizer. the chicken potpie was amazing... i hate peas, and i love that it didn't have peas in it. also the peanut butter bar for dessert was delish. very expensive restaurant, but delicious food"

"Food was delicious, though I had asked to sit outside, and was told we could. Upon arrival, we were told there was a private party in the outdoor garden and we had to sit inside. The food was great, as always, but the service was lacking. The waiter kept saying "no rush" and then coming back 45 seconds later to take our order. That happened twice. Then he did the same thing with the check. We ate rather quickly and were finishing our glasses of wine when he put the check down. He came back to the table three times trying to take our bill away and we kept telling him we hadn't paid yet. They were not busy at all and it was extremely off-putting to have him keep coming over and bugging us to pay. Will still go back for the outdoor dining area"

"Decor was lovely and the happy hour was great (2 for 1 til 8 pm). It was nice that they let us take our drinks to the table and have our second round with dinner.
Food was mediocre. We had the mac and cheese, halibut, rack of lamb, branzino and burger. Everything was too salty. If prepared properly, the price may have been warranted."

"We came out to celebrate my birthday and it ended up being pretty lame. When we walked in we were sat immediately in the barren restaurant, not even a server in on the floor. Each and every server was in a meeting and not one person came over to bring water. I actively got up and asked the bartender to help us. The bartender is great, however the our assigned waitress was a weirdo. We asked her if a drink was a good selection and she said to my husband "good enough for a man". What in gods name does that mean. I mean this poor girl - it was like it was her first night as a waitress after coming off the boat from Russia. Do not hire people merely based on their looks - they need brains too. The raspberry spinach salad was extremely bland."

"We booked a week before to join the all-you-can-drink brunch for $36. Great service, energetic atmosphere and superb food make this place one of my favourites. I had the steak sandwich with truffle fries, very tasteful. The alcohol kept flowing for over 2 hours with a good selection of bloody mary's, peach bellinis and mimosas. Highly recommended for a energetic brunch with larger groups."

"I had high hopes for de Santos. Reviews I read gave it good marks, so I was excited for dinner. Our server was very sweet, but that is where the compliments end. When we got wine glasses, one had lipstick on it. We got another, but no apologies for the accident. I ordered the steak and it was very tough. I mentioned this to our server, and the only rsponse was, "I'll tell our chef". With so many restaurants in NYC, I can find better places for spending hard earned dollars."

"The decor was great, but we should have been forewarned when we walked in and the restaurant was close to empty. Disappointing food.... well, the truffle fries were amazing."

"Best place I know of in the city for large groups for brunch. Also, very liberal policy on unlimited mimosas etc, which are delivered by the pitcher."

"A friend claims this is the best boozy brunch in the city. $36 all you drink brunch for 2 hours with an entry. Drink-fills are the best I've ever seen during brunch and the waiters are on hand so you don't just get 2 small mimosas over 2 hours like you do at other places. Will go back quite often!"

"The only negative was that it was a 2 hour all you can drink brunch but after we finished our food, we still had 30 minutes left to drink and our waiter kind of disappeared. He said he would come back with another round of mimosa, bloody mary, etc. pitchers but never did and when we finally stopped him to ask for more he seemed annoyed that he had to bring more than one type of drink."
