Nestled amongst the trees of Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park, Terrace specializes in Canadian Contemporary Cuisine. Ample windows and a glass ceiling allow diners to enjoy the seasonal menu offerings along with the well defined seasons that Manitoba is known for. Assiniboine Park is also internationally renowned for its Zoo, The Leo Mol Gardens, conservatory and art collections featuring the works of Ivan Eyre, Clarence Tillenius, and Walter J. Phillips.
Terrace is a short 10 minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes from major downtown hotels.

"I took my mom out for Mother's Day to Terrace at the Park. The food was excellent, especially the dessert - it was a type of French Toast. The butternut squash soup was superb! The mussels were tastey. We were not fond of the chicken livers, but neither of us have ever tasted them before so cannot make a fair comparison. Both entrees were delicious!! However, the service was left us wanting. For a simple lunch we were there for over 2 hours. The waiter kept telling us he was new and would not come back with the information we requested. It took an extremely long time to get a cup of coffee, especially when two serving personnel told us they would be "right back" with our coffee. Go for the food, not so much for the service."

"Dinner was for mothers day and it was delicious! We went because the menu had lots of seafood and that is not something you see that often in winnipeg! The food was amazing! It was fun because I got my mom and sister trying new things that I never thought they would try and they loved it all!"

Would have liked to be able to get a side salad. many small and mid size items, predominantly seafood that offered a good selection and those we had were excellent. "Portions are small and the entrees are expensive. Our bill for 3 with wine and gratuity was $300! The seafood platter for two barely feeds one. I have seen bigger crayfish than the lobster presented. We also had the stripped bass which was luke warm and overcooked. Be prepared to go for a hamburger after dinner. Venue has poor acoustics and is very noisy. My chair was wobbly."

"I've been to Terrace in the park throughout it's various iterations and usually the food is excellent (if somewhat expensive). It is an excellent place to go for a nice romantic dinner (generally for adults only). This time we had their special Valentines day meal which was a 5 course meal (app, Salad, soup, main and desert). For an additional fee they pair each of these courses with a wine (or port as appropriate).
I would say this is probably the worse the food has been for me in the numerous times i've visited. It was fine. but for almost 2 bills i would expect the food to be more then OK. The soup was pretty sub par but the salad was nice and main course was above decent.
The service remains excellent and very professional"

"We went there for supper. The food was really good. We had the chicken livers and the Tuna tacos and those were outstanding. We had the seafood platter and it is served cold. We found it a little overpriced for what it is but it was good food ($60 for two). You will definitely need the appetizers if you get the seafood platter as there is no side dish with it, just the seafood. Service was excellent, very friendly, described all the dished perfectly. Atmosphere was great with a view of the park."

"Visited Terrace in the Park for Sunday Brunch. Dining room setting is outstanding as it is a glassed in artium with a beautiful view of the river.
We were very happy with the food and the service but were disappointed with the change in format from buffet to table service. Made for a nice dining experience a nice quiet brunch, but we did miss the variety and the entertainment value of the buffet which came at a reasonable price. Would still recommend Terrace for brunch if you are looking for excellent food and premium service with a quieter setting than buffets offer."
