"This was my second time dinning at Kona Grille and both times were fabulous. We celebrated Mother's Day- my mom loved it! The atmosphere was nice, food was good. We ordered the calamari which was perfection! Not to squishy and not too fried, plus the sauce is amazing. I love ordering sushi from Kona. What more can I say- Kona is it!"

"We came in on Mother's day evening, I have made reservation, we were lead to a table soon. The service and food matched with the place, salad and sushi were fresh. Manager came over to say hello. I have been to this place many times, I recalled the recertionists at front were always courteous, but that evening, a young lady didn't even say hi and made eye contact. when we left at around 8:00pm, 3 people at front desk, 2 girls and a man, just watched us left, could have said bye. I felt odd. it was not like this, maybe they had a bad time that day."

"Family member requested to go o Kona Grill for birthday celebration on a Saturday evening--noise level was a little high by end of evening; last time we spent outside near the fireplace, it was cozy and quieter. Service from server and manager was awesome; a dinner that wasn't as ordered was immediately fixed. Our server was timely and professional. Most of us had salads, which were enjoyed by all, especially the grilled asparagus salad. The wine was reasonably priced and the server split a second glass for us with no problem. I recommend Kona all the time, saying to get there early especially during happy hour and on the weekend."

"Had lunch at the bar and felt like I was in Hawaii again with the warm breeze blowing in from the patio area. The food was great as always and the bartender was busy but gave great service. He was very friendly and fun too! Perfect relaxing break from work.

"I had a birthday dinner there with my girlfriends. We sat on the terrace by an open window and that was the perfect spot for us!
The waitress was great, very alert but not crowding. And she had a good sense of humor!

"Service was great. Very knowledgable staff. Food was good and cooked very well but not flavorful enough to me. I ordered the vegas roll. That was very good. I also ordered the chicken satay. The chicken satay does not have that authentic Thai flavor at all. Overall we had a good time. The service was great. I didn't like my drink and they gladly changed it for me."

"I ordered the macadamia nut encrusted chicken salad. The salad part was fine but the chicken was VERY dry and not any better that some fried chicken tenders on a bed of greens. I couldn't even finish the chicken and regret that I even ate any of it. My husband loved his sliders but my dish was a big dissapointment. The server said we had made good choices, she was wrong!"

"We first tried Kona Grill for my daughter's 21st birthday in August of 2012. We felt the dinner (mainly Sushi) we had was well-presented and very tasty. However, on Saturday (April 27th) we attempted to order the same (or similar meals) we had last August and were very disappointed mainly in the quantity of the food and the so-so presentation. We often frequent Japanese/Sushi style restaurants, so we are very familiar with a sushi menu.
To be honest, we felt the meals were very pricey for the amount of food we got. Your competitors seem to offer more. I understood from the wait staff that the menu was changed since last summer. I guess that might explain a lot."

"Love this restaurant but never had dinner at a late time on a weekend. Very loud and boisterous but fun! Lunch is more quiet and low key middle age folk. A Saturday night here seems like its the hot spot for the young and pretty! Food is great! Fish is always cooked to order, service is almost TOO prompt, skinny cocktail menu is fun and drinks are tasty. Wine list is so-so, not high-end fine wines, but fine with the fare. The sushi here is fresh and very well done, although presentation is not very creative. Will always return here here."

"It was my first time here and I was excited a out the sushi. I would leave with a bad taste in my mouth for the service. Our waitress was less than attentive. Our sushi came before our sushi set up and I never received the meal soup that I ordered. Not a care seemed to be given when that was realized. I got through and apitizer and shared 3 over priced rolls. I also had to share some of my dining partners drink as the waitress didn't come back for refills until we were done with the meal. Not cool when wasabi is envolved. I will give this place another try, but my first impression was not one that would allow me to recommend Kona Grill to others. For the price there is far better local sushi and service."

"Ate at Kona Grill with my husband. This was our second visit. I had the Pad Thai & a house salad. The Pad Thai was delicious but a little too hot. Whe I mentioned that I would order it not as hot next time, I was told that they can only make it hotter, not less hot? Strange. My house salad with Danish blue cheese was great. My husband ordered sausage meatloaf & liked it a lot. We split a red velvet cupcake for dessert. It was great."

"We found the food to be good. I cannot recommend a full meal here as I am not a sushi lover. Our daughter loved the sushi. I loved the avocado egg rolls with the great dipping sauce. My husband thought the tomato basil soup was the best he ever had. The flat bread was also tasty. It is very dark inside and I could hardly see. I think this is a fun place for groups or the bar scene. Not a dinner place for me but my daughter loved it and it was for her birthday so that's all that counts!"

"Based on yelp reviews I thought the service would be poor. That was completely wrong. The bartender and our waitress were great with recommendations and service. "All around great experience. Sushi was fresh and wonderful with a lot of variety. Entrees were cooked to perfection and they had good veggie options as well. This was well worth our 40 minute drive to get there."

"I have had several very enjoyable lunches here. This was first time for dinner. It was an utter disappointment. Waitress raved about the Sea Bass. When it came, it was mushy and tasteless. The server came back with a dinner salad and literally threw it on the table. They missed things we ordered. We Will not be going back for dinner but likely still do lunches."

"My experience was horrible and I will never return. The hostess lost my name for my party so my other two friends had to call me to find where we were seated. I asked her specifically before we sat down of she needed mine or one of my friends names and she reassured me that she didn't. Well, she did and its very unprofessional. My server had the worst attitude and was very rude. He used profanity in front of us which is again unprofessional. I spent an exceptional amount of money for two people to dine nicely and it was not worth a cent that I paid."

"The staff at Kona Grill did an outstanding job for our duaghter's birthday. Andrew was our server and he had excellent recommendations and accommodated the vegetarian in our group with ease. From meatloaf to custom sushi creations, the meal was perfect. We ended with dessert and coffee - wonderful experience!"

"This was the thrid time for me a Kona grill. We had reservations at 7:30, we were not seated until 8:10. We got the same waiter I had my last vist which was only 2 weeks ago. He was awful once again. If it wasnt for the manager that night helping out with our table, it would have been down right rude.
I said something to the manager early in the night, and thats why he assisted us over and above the guy waiter.
He should be re coached on how to wait on tables or let go. I love the food at Kona, but the service and waiting for a table, has made my mind up to not go back."
