"My husband and I had been to Kona Grill once before and he had been disappointed. Despite his disappointment we decided to try again. The service was excellent and although the food was alright, we overall felt that the price of the items were too high for the quailty of food. My husband was especially disappointed in his spicy tuna roll (which I have a very low tolerance for heat and didn't find to be spicy) and the teryaki steak which was grilled perfectly but the teriyaki was too fruity for his taste. Overall a nice restaurant but the price for the quailty of food was a bit steep for us."

"Service was poor. Salt not on the table. We asked for salt and server never returned with it. We had to look for server to get refills on water and soft drinks. One food item was bad and we sent it back yet were charged for that item. This was a bad choice for us to celebrate our anniversary.
After filling out a survey upon our return, the manager called and offered to refund money for the bad food item and one of the entrees as if that could help make our anniversary better.
To the server Kimberly, shame on you."

"The restaurant was too noisy to enjoy a conversation with someone across the table. The lettuce wraps were tasty; the avocado spring rolls were just okay. Our entrees were served before we were finished with our appetizers. Portions were generous and the food good. Service was friendly, but we had to wait a long time after we finished our meals before our server returned to check on us."

"We arrived at 5:50 for a 6pm dinner reservation. The patio & bar portion of the restaurant was hopping with a "happy hour" crowd. We were seated right away, in the indoor section. Our waiter was attentive and cheerful. We had fried calamari and a soft crab sushi roll as appetizers, a martini and a glass of wine. The calamari & sushi were excellent. The martini was watered down. My husband had the mahi-mahi special and a small caesar. I had a small house salad only and saved the sushi roll to eat as my entree. They served the salads and entree all at the same time and the fish got cold while we ate our salads. The fish and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The chef knows what he's doing. Total cost (w/2 more wines) = $100+"

"I have eaten at Kona Grill several times before, and LOVE it. This was the first time I made a reservation through Open Table though. It was handled exactly how I expect a reservation to be handled. (Maybe better actually.) We made a reservation for 7:30 as we were leaving out house at 6:40 (Kona is normally a 35-40 min drive from our house). We actually made good time this trip and arrived at the door of Kona Grill at 7:06. I went to check in expecting to be asked to wait a bit since we were early and the waiting area was pretty full, but we were taken to a table right away. To be seated ahead of schedule, and with such short notice was AMAZING! As usual, the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding as well."

"Kona is great for anyday dining but not so much for a special occasion. We went for Valentine's Day/Anniversary. Their Valentine special of surf and turf was ok but not really special. The fillet was very good but the lobster had no flavor at all. It was extremely overpriced for the whole experience. We were in and out within 45 minutes. I love it for lunches and any day dinners but that would be it. The service was efficient but not high end for the price we paid."

We love taking friends and when we get visitors from out of town it is an enjoyable experience for them as well. The foods are all prepared from scratch and to a very high outstanding quality. The Appetizers, Sushi, and Drinks are just incredible. Oh yes, don’t forget to save room for desert.

"I ate there Friday with some friends. My ears are still ringing from all the noise. They were sitting across and next to me and I still couldn't hear them! AND you have music playing. There was a fork on the floor when we got seated. I picked it up and put it on my table so no one would hurt themselves. The waitress took our order and didn't even notice it. All the other silverware was bundled up. I do not eat meat and got your vegetarian menu. Very boring menu. I ordered the beef thai noodle something or other. I didn't realize it was going to be cold. I ordered it with no beef. It was okay. I would have ordered something hot. You used to have a peanuty dish with noodles and veggies that I didn't see on the list. TOO LOUD!!!!!!!!!"
