"My parents were from near Rome so I am pretty picky when it comes to Italian food in restaurants!
I have never eaten ANYTHING at Cafe Firenze that wasn't the freshest, most lovingly prepared,delicious Italian dishes- outside my own kitchen. Pastas perfectly cooked with the 'right'amount of sauce, neither space nor drowning. Tasty lamb; my husband loved the goat ragu. Sti at the kitchen counter if you can. It is where all the kitchen activity can be seen! though it can get a little frenetic & see it more as a well choreographed dance where at the end you are presented with a wonderful meal.
We love this restaurant!"

"We went on a slow night, Tuesday, and our server was fantastic. He spent a lot of time chatting with us and was very patient with our questions. Apparently Tuesday and Thursday are the least crowded nights and they are closed on Mondays. Other nights are very busy so pick your night according to your crowd tolerance
The food was excellent. Both the appetizer (prawns) and main course (chicken scaloppini) were reasonably sized, but the dessert (cheesecake) was miniscule. We were a little aback by the $12 charge for a bottle of water - we weren't given the option of "plain" ice water and didn't know enough to ask for it. We consider it a learning experience and would not hesitate to go back."

"We took our friend here for her 65th birthday, she did not want a big fuss about a significant milestone. We were impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff and the food was fabulous! The pasta dishes ( gnocchi and the short rib ravioli) not to mention the calamari appetizer( which we all shared) as well as sharing a caparese salad, and of course to top off a birthday celebration homemade gelato! The sea bass special of the evening was good also. The restaurant has a reasonable corkage price and we were able to enjoy a very good bottle of Pinot to celebrate a special occasion."

"When we arrived they tried to put us in an unused room. Then the waitress came over to take our drink order. They were not very "generous" with their wine pour. When asked if there were specials, she told me I would have to wait. We asked if we could substitute a vegetable for the garlic mash potatoes and was told there would be an up charge. Then we asked if we could substitute pasta for the potatoes. The answer was yes, however, when our meals arrived there were no vegetables on the plate. The server was very surprised that we wanted them, even though they came with our meal. One of the dishes included asparagus. I though the portion size, 3 stalks, was a little skimpy."

"I had to comment on the delicious gnocchi that my husband and I had at Café Firenze. I studied for a semester in Florence and had many a gnocchi. The pesto gnocchi and truffle gnocchi's blew away the experience I remember while in Italy. They were light and airy and the sauces were unforgettable!! Our waiter was also a real gem - very attentive, sweet, knowledgeable. We had a great night out!!"

"To be honest, food was a 4/5. A bit salty. Had the risotto - tasted great at first, but couldn't finish my plate b/c of saltiness. Even the bread was salty. The chicken scaloppini was perfect, it made up for the saltiness. But the selling part was the service. Our waiter was great, the owner came by twice - best service I've had in a while."

"My husband and I were celebrating our 5th Anniversary and went to Cafe Firenze. First off the service was impeccable, I din;t have to ask for bread it was constantly being refilled, the water was always full, the waiter was knowledgeable and so kind. The manager came up and checked on us and was so sweet, the food and martini's were amazing, the Chicken Marsala is to die for. The place was so romantic and we will be back again and again."

"A group of six of us went to celebrate two birthdays. The service (Jen) was Superb! as usual, the food outstanding and so was the wine selection. It is a little noisy ( a bustling place) but we were able to talk at our booth and enjoy the ambiance as well as the entire evening together. The crab cake appetizer is divine, and another of our party had the Pancetta-wrapped jumbo prawns...he thought he went to heaven! I have been to Café Firenze many times and I never have had a bad experience. Great food, great drinks, beautiful place, - worth every penny."

"We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Cafe Firenze. This was our first time dining there and we were beyond pleased with the entire evening. Their service was imepeccable. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and dessert. The calamari and zucchini appetizer was the freshest calamari my husband and I have ever had. The entrees were superb and the service was outstanding. This restaurant is trule a gem and everyone should experience it at least once. They had a live singer there that night which was wonderful as well. The mixed drinks were delicious as well. I can't say a single bad thing about our experience. All I know is that we are definitely going back and that we are highly recommending this restaurant to friends and family."

"Ladies Night Out is the name of a promotion of Cafe Firenze, which offers drink specials. The ladies in my group and I asked our server about the special but she said it was only at the bar. Well, the bar only holds a few seats. If we wanted to sit at the bar, we could not. Ordering from our server while seated at a table, the drinks were $12-$15 each but to walk up and order from the bar, the specials were $7. We went to the bar and ordered our drinks there and ordered our food from the server. We could tell she was a perturbed but she was kind and helpful nonetheless. Just a thought, perhaps the Ladies Night Out drink prices could be extended to tables and not just the bar. Overall, the ambience and food and service was great!

"I used to work around the corner from Café Firenze so I discovered it during business lunches and after-work drinks. All I can say is WOW!!! The wood work is amazing and sets the romantic scene and the horse-shoe bar is fantastic. The wait staff is amazing and highly trained. Typically for dinner your waiter will bring an iPad mini to literally display the evening chef specials and he will be able to tell you every single ingredient in the dish and exactly how it's prepared. Quite a memory in more ways than one. If you just want to meet up for drinks, this is the place. The bartenders are great and they have everything you'd want. Truly a neighborhood gem."

"The food was still pretty good. This place got better when Fabio returned. Over the past year the menu has become smaller and less imaginative. They've eliminated some of the best dishes. Portion size of things like the calamari appetizer have shrunk. Is this place striving for obscurity?"

"We always enjoy the dining experience. This is one of the first restaurants we consistently take out-of-town guests to for a celebratory dinner with family and friends. The staff is very helpful and courteous, it's one of the few places where the servers are always nearby checking on your experience and topping off your glass. We have never had less than an excellent experience here regardless of how busy they are at the time."

"First time customer so my knowledge is very limited. I can say that the service was good and the food was good if a little expensive. We loved the deserts and the wine list is extensive with many nice selections even if they are overpriced as is typical of most restaurants. "My wife and I went to cafe Firenze to celebrate 30 years of marriage with our children and thier significant others. We were able to get the Chef's table that evening. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I only wish Fabio was there that night so we could have met him. We will be back many times again. This has become my favorite restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or just to go to have a great dinner!"

"I've been coming here for years and it's always great. I usually have the chef's selection menu which is fantastic. I love the staff and the food--you always feel well taken care of and comfortable. It's a sexy restaurant! Enjoy!"

"I'm a big fan of Fabio and my wife surprised me and brought me to Cafe Firenze for our 3rd year wedding anniversary and i must say the food was incredible i ordered the chefs table and Chef Johnathan came out and talked to me and gave me some inspiring words and the staff took really good care of us, I'm happy to say that we will be back for more."

"Food was incredible. Service was impeccable, attentive but not overbearing. Very professional. They always over achieve my expectations. We ate on the patio. The only two issues were that the fire was turned up too high and the music coming from the speaker near the table was a bit too loud. It would be better to relocate the speakers up higher and away from specific tables."
