"Overall we had a very nice evening. Although I feel that David needs some more training with his service skills. We waited over 10 minutes for him to appear with just water, wine took quite awhile as well as bread service. He was not attentive, when asked for more break never received it, asked a busser and he brought it right away. Again, David was nice enough, he said it was a team of service, well it wasn't no one checked back with any course to see how we were etc. Of course we will be back we enjoy the trip but service was lacking this time."

"I recently had lunch with my wife and parents at Seven Glaciers to celebrate my parents anniversary and my mother's birthday. The entire experience, from the atmosphere to the service and the phenomenal dishes, was exquisite. The meal concluded the end of a week-long vacation for my parents and they repeatedly said afterwards that the dining experience was the highlight of their Alaskan trip."

"People were dressed anywhere from formal wear to jeans and t-shirts. Nice jeans and nice shirts and you are pretty much set and comfortable. The staff was attentive and pleasant. Both of us ordered the chef's menu of the evening and it was very good, even exceeding our expectations!! The view was amazing and the tram ride was well worth every minute! It is spendy even without ordering the wine pairings, but I believe well worth it. Will definitely go again!"

"I would recommend this restaurant simply for the view. It is incredible. The food is over priced and wasn't spectacular. This wasn't really a bother or a disappointment because that is what you expect when a restaurant's selling point is more about the experience than the food. We had a really nice time and enjoyed the evening view of the mountain. The experience was worth the money even if the food wasn't. I will say, the baked Alyeska dessert was worth every penny. That menu item was excellent."

"An exceptional view makes this restaurant a must for anyone visiting Girdwood - especially those of us who don't ski and might not otherwise get to see the view from atop the mountain. The food was very good, though not the absolute best I had in Alaska. Still, it's quite a bit better than many other restaurants I've tried with a draw other than the food."

"Weather was not the best so view was a bleak white-out. Glad I went though. Tram ride was fun up, packed by 50 snowboard and skiers. Be not claustrophobic or this might offend you on a busy day! Bar was full and restaurant was fairly busy for a Friday lunch. First complimentary bread with "truffle butter" of some sort. Bread was plain and rather unappetizing with even plainer butter. Bread was a hoax, uh oh. Crab cake appetizer was ok. My partner liked it better than me. It left a lingering aftertaste that I could not quite name. Presentation was spot on even though it was minimal at best. Crab Mac n Cheese was delicious. Bison burger was good but lacked any real flavor. Baked Alyeska was almost the best part. Definitely order."

"This is not my first high class dinning establishment. The atmosphere is fantastic but the food in my opinion was disappointing. $42 for a pork chop I could have made better at home. The Ahi appetizer was embarrassing. The Ahi looked more like a sauce than fish. While I appreciate great presentation I would also like some food. Want a world class Ahi appetizer try the one @ Hali'imaile General Store, Maui. I couldn't even eat the pork and I noticed the table next to me could not either. I live in Girdwood and want to find fine dinning places but you have a long ways to go to come close to the food at Jack Spratz. Maybe next time.

"We have been to Seven Glaciers many times, and have enjoyed the experience whether it would be lunch, a romantic dinner, or with a very large group. "This was the second time to visit this restaurant. Same as the first time, stuff was cheerful, friendly and polite. I visited with my wife, 2years and 4years doughters, so I worried about kids makeing noise and disturbing other customers. "We decided to make last minute reservations for a weekend night at the suggestion of the restaurant website--we werent disappointed! The reservation may not have been necessary (seemed to be plenty of space around 5:45) but it filled in as the evening went along. It's also nice that the reservation includes tickets up to the restaurant. The dress code says 'smart casual'...that must be Alaskan for 'no snow pants'! No need to overdress. Great ambiance, quite a wine selection, an amuse-bouche and palate cleanser from the chef add to the atmosphere. The food was fresh, well cooked, and flavorful. The portions are small, but we took advantage of that to order a few and share. The view from dining room was beautiful even through a snow storm."

"A wonderful way to spend an evening! We arrived about an hour prior to our reservation to enjoy a drink or two at the bar after hearing that the views of the mountain from the bar area were great. The views lived up to the expectations, and the drinks far exceeded them. We really enjoyed the new old fashioned and the winters rum punch. From there we moved into the dining area where we had a wonderful 3 course meal - the tartare, the king crab, and the sable fish were some great highlights. We also finished the evening off with the baked Alaska dessert, per our server's (Raleigh, who was great!) suggestion and were amazed by how fantastic it was. Wine pairings for our meal were perfect, as well. Excellent all around!"

"The service at 7 Glaciers is definitely 5 star. The menu selection matches the service, and it also is quite nice to have a Gluten Free menu available as my wife is gluten intolerant. My wife had fillet and I had pork both were cooked to perfection as to what was ordered - No over/under cooking. The sauces were totally enjoyable. On the side I opted for a risotto with wild mushrooms - Excellent choice. The Ridge Winery Zin was a fine vintage and after airing for 10 minutes married the flavor to the meal. We would recommend this for those special moments where you need to get away from the crowds, relax and enjoy a nice leisurely meal with a killer view."

"We opted for the chef's choice for both food and drink. It was very expensive, but something we will do again. The food was superb - such variety, so many wonderful surprises. The highlight was trout served on a hot rock - very unusual presentation, absolutely scrumptious. We probably will order a modest bottle of wine next time to bring the price down - because I'd like to experience this again, and again. A great way for us to celebrate a belated Valentine's. "Tops the list for most expensive yet on a Valentines Date! Worth every penny if it is in your budget! Unique transportation to and from...thrilling to some maybe. Drop the ladies off first and than plan a good walk from the parking lot. A shuttle is available. My dress shoes got a little wet but that was all part of the adventure! You will use every bit of an hour and a half to arrive at your table if you are leaving from Anchorage."

"What a great experience! This restraunt sits atop Mt Alyeska, you arrive by Tram service leaving from the hotel, and ride a heated elevator to the top floor of the mountain side lodge. "My husband built his courses from the menu and I did the tasting menu with wine parings. This was the second time we had eaten here and we were very pleased with it. The waiter was just great and though my meal had one extra course than my husband he made sure to arrange it so my husband and I ate at the same time. I cannot remember his name but he was just great. Better than you would expect from a restaurant on top of a mountain. I was impressed that the restaurant had only been reopened for the season for a couple of days and the staff was still efficient and was like they had never been closed at all. The only "complaint" I have is I wish the pours on my wine paring had been a little deeper. ;-) But everything was just yummy."
