Meson Sabika is an award-winning Spanish Tapas restaurant that has resided in an 1847 Georgian mansion since 1990. It goes without question, that the restaurant offers an unmatched dining experience. Guests can dine indoors and enjoy the grace and charm reminiscent of a European Villa or can choose to sit outdoors on the terrace while enjoying the ultimate alfresco experience underneath 150-year-old oak trees which cover the estate.

"Love your place, but you have to many tables in the rooms. Not much privacy, hard to move. Especially during buffet ( went there for Mother's day ), when we need to walk to buffet. And the waiters walking between tables with those big overfilled trails...scary!!!"

"Mson Sabika is a classic tapas restaurant with great red sangria! Great for a group, being able to order different things and try a little of each. Our waiter was great in directing us to which items to order. Our favorites were the goat cheese with red sauce and toast as well as the beef with caramelized onions and horseradish sauce. YUM!"

"We've been here just a few times, but as always, the service, food and scenery was wonderful. We were seated in an upstairs room and it was still really great service. Food was great - everything I've tried here has always been really solid. And portions sized plenty for 4 people to have a taste of everything."

"Just being inside or on the grounds of this mansion is a treat. Many tapas choices, most reasonably priced, and easy to share. Chocolate cake dessert is worth a visit here. Service was great. Easy to find in Naperville, and plenty of parking. Go for a special occasion, or just go for the fun of it."

"We enjoyed another fine dinner at Meson Sabika! Took an out of town business guest there for dinner and he enjoyed it very much.
Highlights were the scallops, the cubed potatoes, the empanada and the eggplant. All the dishes were great though. The servers were very helpful with selecting wine by the glass and the sangria was good as usual.

"my friends and I planned this for about 2 months, with all of us having kids its hard to plan a lunch. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't order off the menu during brunch but that was ok. Our waiter was never anywhere to be found, we couldn't understand him, I was under the impression that a mimosa OR sangria came with our meal and then came to find out that the sangria wasn't. I would have ordered a mimosa too!! The desserts were about out by the time we got them. We did not get our first pick and had to settle for what he brought us. I was impressed how they were able to move us to an outside table from our original inside table since it was so nice out. I hate to say it but it wasn't worth the money. I will not be returning."

"Meson Sabika has been a place we have frequented for years, although somehow its easy for us to forget when planning a night out (not their fault). Small plates/Tapas style, everything has great flavor and can satisfy meat/fish/vegetarian eaters alike. I don't enjoy so much going with others due to the "order a plate and share with everyone" (I am an only child), however with my wife its fine, we have our favorites we don't share, and experiment with new things we haven't tried. There was one knockout dish of sautéed octopus in a vinaigrette that was incredible, we do not care for fried Calamari so this was a treat. Do not expect to walk in on a Friday or Saturday night, secure the reservation."

"Mason Sabika is a wonderful place for creative tapas. The building is an old mansion, built in 1847, then renovated and opened it's doors in 1990 and the ambiance is fabulous. The food is top-notch and the service great (would've given it five stars but while plates were cleared quickly and our dishes brought immediately, didn't understand why we had to beg for replacement of water and drinks. Am bringing my family back for the Sunday brunch on Mother's Day. Looking forward to sharing this experience. The noise level was high, which felt odd given the very beautiful and serene environment of this beautiful location."

"When you go to Meson Sabika, you can enjoy the guitarist and dancer with a lively night crowd, or go to the best breakfast buffet on Sunday with an energetic crowd, or go to a quiet romantic dinner on Sunday. "Our waiter made several suggestions (the specials) which were very good. We had an early reservation, and the place was empty, so I was surprised that when people started to arrive they were seated right next to us (I could clearly see that the room across the hall was empty). Since the tables are close, I felt like the party next to us was annoyed that we were talking so much (we were seeing friends after not having seen them in several years). I would not go there again if I were meeting friends and wanted to talk, since I felt like the waiter kept trying to push us to 1. order more food, or 2. get the check and leave!"

"My husband and I used to go to this restaurant all the time when we lived in Chicago. Now, we make sure to schedule at least one dinner when we go back. Although our kids are young (2 & 6), they really enjoy trying the different tapas. I especially love the patio for al fresco dining when the weather is nice. However, we only get the tapas since we make a more flavorful authentic paella at home."

"Having a reservation led us to being immediately seated in the restaurant. With the restaurant being in a home/mansion from the 1850s, the ambiance is cute and quaint. It is as if you were invited over for dinner at the home.
Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable in explaining certain tapas dishes beyond the description included in the menu. There was a generous selection of cold and hot tapas. We didn't feel rushed to order everything all at once, nor pressured to finishing our food quickly. It was a relaxing experience.
The red sangria was pretty fanstastic. It was fruity, flavorful and you felt the kick of the alcohol without it being too overwhelming in each sip."

"Have only had brunch several times and a wedding here. Don't know about nights, wine or lunch. Brunch - the food was great. Service great. but they try to serve as many people as they can and it gets crowded. Kind of loud as well. Long line at buffet moves quickly, always full dishes well maintained, clean, full. Lots of options for the foodies and food shy."

"We have eaten at Meson Sabika perhaps 8-10 times. It is fun to try different dishes. It is the only Spanish restaurant that I'm aware of in the area. They have quite a varied selection. It is a fun place to bring other people and try dishes you will not find anywhere else. The quality of the food is high and I think the value for the price is excellent. You can go away very satisfied for a very reasonable price. Another thing I like is the consistency. We have never had less than a delicious meal. It is always very good. To sum up a fun, consistent, different, and delicious alternative to the usual restaurant suspects."

"We tried a wide variety of tapas that pleased our whole party (adults, teenagers, vegetarians). The wine suggested by our server was wonderful. It seems clear they are not strangers to larger parties, and we were accommodated nicely. For once, the dessert menu was not an afterthought! There were 10-12 selections, and I believe we tried 5 of them. ALL EXCELLENT!"

"This was my first visit to Meson Sabika and I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the meal. First off, the building itself, a 150 year old mansion, is incredibly charming and beautiful. The wait staff are courteous and helpful, and the food was simply delicious.

It was quite crowded, as we might have expected, but despite having a reservation way in advance, I was very disappointed to be placed in a small, back upstairs room with no ambience to be found! "We visited Meson Sabika for their Easter Brunch. It was the first time we had been there. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated, even though we had a reservation. Apparently, people at the prior seating were slow in leaving. They should increase the time between their seating times in order to avoid this in the future. The food was absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend the brunch. However, it did not seem like they had enough wait staff. We had to ask for water refills three times and the servers seemed too busy to ever check in with us. We always had to waive them over to us."

"Meson Sabika draws crowds for a reason. For the Easter brunch, the restaurant served many of its popular tapas dishes. One of the specialties, garlic potato salad is for true garlic lovers. If you only want a hint of garlic, this dish is not for you. Many of the seafood dishes (scallops in couscous was one) were excellent. Good selection of chorizo and assorted antipasto on one table, abundant fruit on another. One glass of cava comes with brunch. Deserts served off menu to help control table time. No charge for children under 7 - a good value for the family."

"Had a wonderful time. Our server Salvador was excellent. Timing of the courses was just right. We went in on a friday night and ate upstairs. The place was busy, but even though we were right in the middle of the room, I was only focused on what was happening at our table. We had the salad with beets, and a cold crab toast to start. Warm shrimp, and the bacon wrapped dates second. Duck and chicken third. Bananas and a brulee for dessert. 8 dishes total for the two of us. It was just right. A nice sampling of food. Not too much, not overpriced. Afterward, I ordered another bacon wrapped dates to go, and had them for lunch the next day."
