Adobe Grill
Famed for its award-winning tamales, housemade tortillas and selection of artisan tequila; Adobe Grill is an authentic regional Mexican dining experience located at La Quinta Resort & Club in the Palm Springs area. Adobe Grill is decorated in a traditional Oaxacan motif, highlighted by a ten foot tequila display, a double sided fireplace with a mosaic finish. Sliding patio doors allow the dining room and outdoor patio to become one. Let our master tequilero create a signature margarita from one of more than 100 tequilas. On weekends, we feature live music on the open air plaza in the heart of La Quinta Resort; come relax and take pleasure in the one of a kind surroundings.

"I have to say the food was decent, but absolutely not worth the price tag. For nearly $30 per person, I expected a bountiful buffet (it being Mother's day) but the selection was the most sparse I've ever seen a buffet. Most likely I will not be returning."

"This was a great place for special occasion brunch. The margaritas were included with the price of the brunch, so made it very affordable. Enjoyed the outdoor dining even tho it was a little warm. Inside was a bit too noisy with the mariachi band. Our waitress was very good. Only wish they had misters on the patio, would make it more comfortable on warmer days. Great place tho and will definitely be returning."

"Our waiter told us when we ordered that if it wasn't the best mexican food we ever had, it would be free...Well, I have to say it was hands down the best Carne Asada I have ever had. We love Mexican food, experienced it from Cabo to Santa Barbara, and it was the BEST!!!...I don't think I will ever order Carne Asada again because I know it will be impossible to beat! THE BEST EVER! I am on a mission to find a recipe to equal the the Adobe Grill's!"

"Great tequila list, however the Mexican food was only average at best. I had the fajitas, peppers were dry before cooking, and the whole dish was swimming in oil. My wife had the combo plate, and the relleno was very doughy. Favors were bland and very Americanized. IMO overpriced and below average for a top billed Mexican restaurant."

"Even though this restaurant is part of a resort, we have discovered it is a wonderful place to take guests from out of town to experience dinner with the ambience of the desert valley! The Spanish architecture is beautiful; the flowers amazing; and the Adobe Grill restaurant provides a magical outdoor setting, filled with energy. We enjoyed the food, with tableside guacamole, churros, fish tacos, and Mexican corn on the cob! The service was excellent, and they even comped us an appetizer for making our reservation through Open Table. Just add dear friends and you have the perfect California evening!"

"Ihad out of town guest visiting and we thought we would try the Adobe buffet. It was our first time, we enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and was very pleased with the experience. "Ate there 2 nights in a row while staying at La Quinta. Great fun in the bar with live music on a outdoor patio. Great place for parents with kids as they all had a blast dancing to the music. "This LaQuinta Resort restaurant offers a great opportunity to taste and enjoy delicious Mexican offerings in a bright, cheerful environment.
The cocktail menu offers a great number of options for margaritas, including a number of house specialty drinks made with infused tequilas.
Appetizers included roasted white chiles with rock shrimp - excellent - and guacamole prepared tableside. The chips and salsas are also outstanding.
We opted to listen to Marco, our wonderful server, and had as entrees the Seabass and the Steak/Enchilada combination. Both were attractively presented, substantial and so tasty!
If you're in the area (and I mean within 100 miles!) and hungry for a great meal in an outstanding atmosphere, check it out!"

Not the servers fault but was disappointed for the first time at the Adobe Grill. Customers at adjacent table were very loud and obnoxious making the whole dining experience unpleasant."

"Our family of 5 agreed that the food may have been "the best Mexican food we have ever had." And we all eat Southwestern/Mexican cuisine regularly where we live in Seattle. We know great food since our chef-daughter owns her own Mexican restaurant in Washington State. We liked the way the beans and rice were in small side dishes, rather than flooding the plate that you rarely finish. The wait staff were totally delightful. Our server, originally from Mexico, has lived in La Quinta for 31 years. When we asked about her life she beamed with love for the area and also Adobe Grill. Another assistant chided our two grandchildren and had us all laughing. The setting is awesome and live music delightful. We are foodies and loved Adobe..."

"Our first visit and we were met by a hostess with an attitude. When we requested a booth she responded abruptly "we don't have any". When our server arrived she more than made up for the poor attitude of the hostess. Eva was cheerful and made us feel immediately welcome. She also provided excellent service throughtout our meal. I selected the house specialty chicken machaca and rajas tamales which were rather mushy. My spouse selected the carnitas and beef machaca tacos with house made corn tortillas. She did not feel the carnitas were that flavorful. This is not a restaurant where you want to have a quiet dinner especially on a Friday night. Morgan's will remain our favorite restaurant at the La Quinta Resort."

"This was our second visit to the Adobe Grill in 4 nights. This visit was to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. We had a table on the patio, overlooking the plaza. Victor was our server, and was amazing. We had the tableside guacamole, which is not to be missed. For our entree, we split the 3 taco dinner. We had 2 chicken and one carnita one. Both excellent flavor, melt in your mouth texture. The tortillas were made on site, fresh, warm-nothing like we have at home. Victor brought us a flan with candle to celebrate our anniversary (totally unsolicited) and packaged up some of the salsa made onsite for us to take home as well. Will definitely be back the next time we visit La Quinta."

"Really enjoyed every aspect of our time at Adobe grill and La Quinta. Wonderful food, ambiance, service, and convenience. Guacamole and skirt steak to die for. Great margaritas. Relaxed, casual atmosphere with stringed lights everywhere, live music, kids having fun, and even dogs (pets) enjoying the evenin air."

"Great upscale Mexican food. Tableside guacamole prep, great margaritas, and absolutely delicious tamales. Asked for a hotter salsa for my chips and the server made something up special just for me--and it was likely the tastiest salsa I've ever eaten. Great service, beautiful environment all at the La Quinta Resort & Spa."

"The food was very good, we enjoyed our meal. Even though it was valentines day, there was plenty of tables that were open. Our sever was the worst. It took forever for her to come to our table to take our drink order. Once she did come by, she left her serving table that she used to make guacamole at another table next to our table for most of meal. Again had to wait for her to come back to take our food order. That was pretty much the last time were saw her, until we complained to another server. She Never came by to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. She did make it to all the tables around us and was very attentive, must not like that we we not ordering drinks like the other tables?"
