"What can I say? If you love fine food with a French flair, you'll love St. Pete Brasserie. Everything we had was superb. From the braised short ribs to the cassoulet to the filet mignon to the amberjack, everything was amazing! They have a spectacular and affordable wine list, as well as great desserts. If you want an affordable, truly fine dining experience, try St. Pete Brasserie. You WON'T be disappointed."

"We went on a Wednesday night early (5:30) before a concert. Had heard about this place from a good friend who said it is her favorite. We sat at a high top so it was a bit more casual, but they did have some nice tables to spice it up a bit. I think being an off night there just wasn't the buzz in the restaurant that I bet they get on the weekend. Plus, the bartender was our server and the service was marginal (I think mostly because it was an off night and she had the entire bar area). Food was very good and house wine was good. Can't beat the happy hour from 5-7 along with their pre fixed meal for $23 (which allows any main course, a soup, and salad). All in all I would like to come back to this place on a weekend night."

"A lovely evening made all the more special by great food and service. It was a quiet Tuesday evening but that may not be typical during the season. We were staying downtown so location was perfect. We were three and everyone loved their dinners. The crowning touch was the trio of crime brûlée which we shared. We fought off the temptation to order a second, but it was that good."

"St. Pete Brasserie is one of my favorite restaurants. I return as often as I am in town. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious, and it is always a wonderful dining experience."

"This was our fourth visit to this restaurant and we have never been disappointed It is like eating in a French country inn. Food was very good and service was excellent. Like the BYOB aspect. We will certainly go back again."

"Our waitress was very attentive and honest. I asked if she liked the bone marrow and instead of lying she said she hadn't had them but other customers loved them, which I appreciated. The salmon salad was large and very tasty. The bone marrow was very good! I would go back again."

"As always, excellent. We took a friend there for the first time. Restaurnat packed, but our table was ready. Excellent 'energy buzz' noise level; diverse crowd, and the usual expeditious service and great food. Such a wonderful place--and well worth our drive from Tampa, which we do quite regularly!"

"Although my in-laws had gone many times, this was my first visit. Fabulous food and even better service. I can't remember our waiter's name, but he was wonderful. Gave us great recommendations on both wine and food. I would highly recommend the salmon dish! Only bad thing was that they had run out of escargot and duck confit , both of which we wanted. We will definitely go back the next time we visit St Petersburg."

"The ambiance is good and the staff very friendly accompanied by a very good choice on the menu. What I chose was fine but my husband's main course of cassoulet was overcooked so not very moist. Recipes for cassoulet do tend to vary across France and more usually include duck and a mixture of other meats. This one only appeared on the night to include chicken. Management did respond positively to improve its presentation by replacing.
Would visit again if it was closer but we had traveled 95 miles to try it out so it is likely to be some time before we re-visit. We did enjoy our evening."

"St. Pete Brasserie was nothing to write home about. It was neither here nor there in terms of food, and was pricey for what we were served. I understand the vision of the restaurant, but their prices were too high. The food was good; there was nothing wrong with any of the dishes we ate, but nothing was delicious enough to go back so we won't. Our server was unattentive and slightly rude, providing slow service and rarely checking in on us. Our water glasses were empty almost the entire night. He went to his other tables many times, though. I think he decided because of our age (mid-20s) that we weren't going to tip, but you shouldn't judge your patrons on age. I make more than enough to give a 25% tip, which I would on V-Day."

"Our dining experience had some flaws. The food was good, but the overall experience was lacking. I will try it again, hoping that it was just an off night"

"We have found that each time we came for dinner we are pleased with everything. The food is outstanding, the setting, the service, and the attention to details is great. The server remembers our orders and does not hover. The servers are well trained and knowledgeable of the food. Thanks for being who you are!"

"This is our third visit to St. Pete Brasserie and we were perhaps more impressed than the previous two times. Our server, who waited on us at the bar during a previous visit was our table server. She never missed a beat and was completely attentive to not only our needs but those of the other tables she had. It was a "good restaurant night" with most tables filled and so there was good energy in the room as well. We met the owner, who was as gracious as he was knowlegeable. His dessert wine parings with the triple creme brulee were exceptional. We are not only "foodies" two in our group are in the business and so our attention to details are front and center. Bravo to Chef Ward. Bravo to St. Pete Brasserie!"

"What a great place!! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere!! We had a large group with several out of town guests and were celebrating a family birthday. The food and the service were wonderful! Everyone was so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure that our dinner experience was memorable. Our server Jay was excellent (and patient) as he guided everyone through food and wine choices. The owner, the manager and even the chef stopped by to make sure everyone was happy! The group favorites of the night were the bone-in ribeye with bernaise sauce, the mussels and the duck confit! Thanks for a great night!"
