"I think of Hennen's the most when I want to have a quiet evening, with excellent food and good service. My husband and I were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and no other restaurant came to mind. We are never disappointed. I have also been in charge do arranging a couple of office retirement dinners. I called Hennen's and was given very courteous assistance in making sure everything was just right."

"We made our reservation last minute on Open Table for Mother's Day and were not disappointed. The menu was varied and delicious and atmosphere just right. We had Mushroom Tortellini, shaved Prime Rib sandwich, and Corvina special. All good and the wines delicious. The only disappointment was that they ran out of bread pudding. It was the only dessert we found interesting, and apparently everyone else earlier in the day felt the same way."

"We went hear based on previous reviews recommending it as a good steakhouse. My husband and I aren't red meat die-hards, but enjoy a nice steak every once in a while. The host knew our names as he must have memorized the list of reservations for the night. I got the Filet with bleu cheese crumbles and mashed potatoes. My husband got the Rib-eye and the loaded baked potato. Both steaks were cooked perfectly (medium) and were some of the best steaks we have ever had. The flavor was perfect and the outer crust perfectly seared but not overdone. The masher potatoes were not good and tasted like instant, but the loaded potato, the wine, and bread were all satisfactory. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good steak."

"I took my prom date to Hennen's, seeing all the great reviews and it being near where prom was. We arrived about 20 minutes early from when I had made reservations and they seated us immediately. We both enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great and our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Hennen's, especially for special occasions and dates. I will definitely come here again!"

"The main dish in this restaurant should be the steak and is very well cooked. We asked for medium rare and it turned out to be better than what we expected. Just its appearance you already know that it is definitely a medium rare of steak and not to mention the taste which is even better. Value for money for its steak !"

"My fiancé and I were celebrating an anniversary and wanted a special place. We chose Hennen's on a recommendation and it was spot on! We sat outside because it was such a beautiful night. The staff could not have been more courteous or attentive. Our food was well prepared and served hot. Our glasses were never empty, a real pet peeve of mine, yet our server was not at the table every 30 seconds. We had a filet that rivals any I've had anywhere. Don't worry about the knife, you won't need it. The flavor, preparation and tenderness were all right where they should be - perfect! If your looking for a great steak, this is the place. It's not cheap, but its worth very penny!"

"We have been dining at Hennen's for special occasions for a number of years. All staff friendly with great attitudes. Ivan, our main server, did an outstanding job made suggestions and service was prompt. We occasionally try the seafood, but usually stick with the steaks, 'cause they are so good. The menu has a variety of choices.
They have an extensive wine list, including several good choices by the glass, or in a demi-bottle."

"The first thing I noticed when we entered Hennen's (date) was the wine rack which was enclosed in a glass room. The tables were full, but crowded, and the hostess was very friendly. I got the sense that half the people seated were there for a special occasion and the other half (doctors) were their as a regular spot, and these "regulars" were easily spotted because they were the one giving us odd looks and smirks. All those looks were easily shrugged off when our amazing waiter greeted us. Our waiter, Patrick Kenney, was incredibly friendly and more than helpful. Outstanding because it was only his second week. The food was very nice, but I felt the seasoning was a bit too much. Great ingredients speak for themselves."

"My daughter wanted to go somewhere special for her 9th birthday and I thought this would be great. I couldnt have been more wrong. Despite calling ahead and letting them know it was her bday they botched up her order (just grilled chicken) and it took an hour for her to get her food. By the time it came she was too tired to eat. The waitress never brought bread either. To top it off they never brought out the requested cake with candle. So dissapointing. Don't think I will be back."

"Three of us dined. Coming back from having enjoyed the first visit about a year and a half ago as I am from out of town. Ordere Calamari appetizer. The plate arrived with a very small portion and the pieces were very greasy. My wedge salad was OK. Lacked much bacon and blue cheese as well. The main course was the Scallops. I enjoyed this last time so I ordered it again. The vegetables (fingerling potatoes and spinach, etc.) was very greasy. The scallops were mediocre but very small in size. Will not order this again."

"We had a great meal and enjoyed this restaurant very much. Our server, Patrick, was great! We had the short ribs and prime rib and it was all very good. The only complaint we had was that we had called ahead and inquired about the corkage fee if we brought our own wine. We were told there was no corkage fee. We were charged a $10.00 corkage fee which would have been fine except we were told in advance there was no fee. The manager took the fee off of our bill and did not seem to understand why someone told us there would be no charge. We will gladly go back though with the understanding that there is actually a corkage fee. Great restaurant!"

"Quality of the food was excellent!
Our Easter evening started out with looking at the wine list and finding decent bottles were way over priced, therefore, we chose to only order a glass of wine each. That seemed to disappoint our server/waiter and he took our order, and we only saw him once after that as "runners" brought our salads, and main course. We were never offered bread which all the rest of the tables were enjoying. I might add, the other tables had waiters that seemed very customer oriented!
I always tip 20% and that evening I chose to pay for work performed!
Will not go back based on this experience on Easter evening!"

"Hennen's was an easy place to eat in that it was easy to locate, easy to find a parking spot, and not too loud to talk with friends. The food was good and a little different, but prices were still reasonable."

"Hennen's is a good choice for a special occasion! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food very much. Everything is priced a la carte and expensive. That is why it is not a regular choice for us. I would not consider it to be a place for families with small children. Save Hennen's for a date night or for a business meeting."

"Hennen's is our go-to place for finr dining, superb wine, and delightful ambience when we are in Chattanooga. Hennen's has excellent food,impeccable service, and is only a few steps from the Marriott Courtyard. There are a wide range of choices on the menu, including fresh fish and pasta dishes, but I always have the prime rib. It is the bet I have ever eaten. We are taking my daughter to Hennen's this week to celebrate her birthday. This restaurant never disappoints."

"It was our first visit to Hennen's but it will not be our last. Service was top notch and food was far superior to anything else I have eaten in Chattanooga. Making reservation via Open Table app was quick and painless. We arrived a few minutes early and we were promptly seated. It was slightly noisy the evening we were there but I honestly attribute that to a few of the guests we were surrounded by. Looking forward to eating there again."

"Great restaurant with excellent food. The service was excellent with the staff handing off and covering each other seamlessly even with a huge private party going on. Food was perfectly prepared and served at an excellent pace. Extensive bar and wine selections. Great views of the Tennessee Aquarium and the riverfront. Definitely recommended to anyone seeking a great dining experience."

"I have to say that the service was truly outstanding. My server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I had a few cocktails which were great, the fried shrimp were good, and I had the 8oz Filet which was cooked perfectly. It may be on the pricier side for the area but in my opinion the food and service made it well worth it."
