Review 3 for Red Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and Resort
"Dinner took 2 1/2 hours because a wedding backed the kitchen up. Although the waiter was pleasant he wasn't around all that much. When my chopped salad arrived unschooled, and my family's food arrived lukewarm, I left. The rest of them left before dessert . The restaurant removed the salad from the bill. The restaurant has potential but needs to work out the kinks before wedding season...another family left before its entrees arrived. I would however give them another chance."

Review 4 for Red Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and Resort
"Located within the Woodstock Inn and Resort, it provides a convenient way to enjoy a quiet Dinner with quality food and preparation. Seating to the rear enables outdoor viewing. The middle section of tables surround a small water fountain and plants within a shallow rectangular pool. Everyone on staff could not be more friendly and appreciative. Save room for dessert!"

Review 7 for Red Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and Resort
"Although the staff was friendly and efficient and the restaurant itself was lovely, I would not recommend the Red Rooster because the food was sub-par. Our dinner was just okay and was actually quite sparse. We both ordered a seafood dish with risotto and there were two shrimp and three scallops on maybe a half-cup of risotto. Very disappointing. The next meal we had was the breakfast buffet. The omelet station was great, but the buffet offerings were cold and not all that impressive. There was supposed to be corned beef hash that was mixed in with some commercial roast potatoes and very little hash. I expected more than that for the price of the meal."

Review 8 for Red Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and Resort
"The service was attentive and friendly. The food was wonderful. Only complaint was the cold breeze that seemed to waft through the room all evening. The waiter said it's always cold in there and tried to explain that it must be the open pool in the middle of the room, but those drafts were coming from everywhere."

Review 9 for Red Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and Resort
"My husband and I and our two teenage boys stayed at the Inn for one night during off season. I made a reservation at the Red Rooster for just my husband and myself for dinner. While there were very few people at the Inn or restaurant, the staff was very friendly and helpful and gave suggestions of other local places for my boys to eat. Our food was tasty and plentiful. The restaurant is quiet and elegant. The 4 of us had breakfast the next morning at RR and it was delicious! I think my husband enjoyed his dish (maple pecan pancakes) the most of all of us. Will definitely be telling some friends about the Inn and the Red Rooster."

"Our waiter, Brady, super friendly, great understanding of the menu. Great food. Very romantic. My hubby is gluten free, so I asked for ice cream and a candle for his birthday celebration. They presented it to him, no problem, perfect timing."
