"My fiance and I ate here as our first meal in Hawaii and ordered the Pre - Fixe. We started with the highlight of our meal, a delicious sushimi of ahi tuna over guacamole and continued on with a seafood cappuccino filled with crab and tiger shrimp. We also enjoyed a pork main course that was tender and flavorful. This all overlooked Waikiki beach which was nice, but we were placed next to another couple when the rest of the restaurant was essentially empty which made it a little less intimate. Overall the food and service was amazing, and although the environment could have been a little bit better, it didn't take away from the meal and fantastic view."

"We decided to take a stay cation and try some restaurants we have never tried before. Azure proved to live up to my expectations of what a fine dining restaurant should be. Our server really impressed me with his knowledge of the ingredients, his attentiveness to making our dining experience special really made me appreciate this restaurant . We had the tasting menu which gave us a sample of the chefs talent. Simply delightful ."

"This restaurant was ideal for it's selection of fresh fish. For the freshest fish, each day fish is bought from pier 38. I enjoyed my preparation of onaga.
My wife had a whole snapper that was quick fried and was to die for. Overall, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was romantic. We would definitely return to try other dishes."

"Azure is at the majestic original Honolulu beach resort. You walk through the Royal Hawaiian on the way in to the restaurant. Fantastic service. Heavenly fish but the sweet potatoes were heavily spiced with Thai spices that were not mentioned on the menu or by the server. Likewise, the corn and mushroom side dish was disappointing as the mushrooms were elusive and the corn was smothered in heavy butter and spice sauce. The ambiance sells this place. Food was good but not better than other places."

"A wonderful dining experience. My husband and I went to dinner at Azure on Sunday evening with friends visiting from the Mainland, and it was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Brett was very pleasant and professional, helpful with menu selections and attentive throughout the meal without being the least bit intrusive. We wanted our Mainland friends to experience fine dining in a beautiful setting on Waikiki Beach, and we were not disappointed."

"We dined here on an anniversary/birthday and were made to feel very special by all the staff, most particularly our server, John. Leaving the special occasion out, though, the restaurant, including food, wine, service, and setting, would still be considered outstanding. Expensive yes, but not more than the other fine restaurants in town, and this is worth every penny. A marvelously delicious experience."

"This was a wonderful time for us. It was our anniversary dinner and the Azure made it extra special with wonderful service, which they topped off with a surprise anniversary dessert! "Fish Market list is great and both mine and my husband's fish were cooked perfectly. That said, side orders were unimaginative and were cold upon serving. Service was sporadic, without a true leader. I think my husband would say he would go again, but with all the amazing places to eat fish in Honolulu, I probably wouldn't choose it again."

"The BEST dining experience we had while in Honolulu. We were there for a special birthday celebration and it was great. It is fairly expensive so be prepared. Had the 5 course tasting menu and every course was fantastic. The poached beef was to die for. The 'Ocean Cappuccino', sashimi and risotto were delicious. They substituted a tasty sorbet for me and brought out a delicious flourless chocolate cake for the birthday girl that we shared and was great. I didn't do the wine pairings as I am not a white wine drinker but 2 of our group did and they were very happy with the selection. The wine selection by the glass is not extensive but what I had I enjoyed. The service matched the superb food. Some had the tasting menu and some didn't."

"We had dinner at Azure for my birthday. We ordered the petite filet and the smoked moonfish for our appetizers - both were excellent. The filet is probably one of the best things I've eaten. For dinner we had the seared ahi with scallops - extremely flavorful and the portions were generous. My husband had the swordfish. He enjoyed it thoroughly, the fish was so moist and tender. The only items that didn't impress were the breads and dessert (flourless chocolate cake) -- but the cake was complimentary for my birthday so I can't complain. Service was excellent, overall a really nice evening. Would definitely come again, recommend to friends."

"I was disappointed this time at Azure. The wait service was excellent, but the hostesses at the door were not friendly or accomodating. I had eaten at Azure in January 2012 the food was much better at my first visit. I was in a group of 7 people this visit and the experience was less impressive."

"Amazing dinner for our 10 year anniversary. I chose the 5 course menu. Everything was great except the seafood bouillabaisse which I didn't care for. My boyfriend got the lamb chops which he enjoyed. We shared 'black spiced' opakapaka with hamakua mushrooms, corn, and the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. The fish was exceptional and it was cooked perfectly. Service was impeccable. Desserts weren't that great but the dessert with the tasting menu was a nice finish to the meal. Pricey but worth it. Beautiful views. Lovely interior. Definitely recommended!"
