"This place caught my eye a few times online, and we finally stopped in to try it out. The bean/queso/guacamole appetizer is absolutely amazing, and the restaurant was very helpful for my girlfriend's gluten sensitivities. The dinner was exceptional as well, almost too much to finish- but it tasted too good not to. Definitely recommend trying this out if you are near."

"Wow, what a gem this place is. Everything on the menu sounded so good that we were having a tough time deciding. The owner (Micheal) came by to check on us, found that this was our first visit, and helped us narrow our choices. We were not disappointed! There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in the area, and Blue Adobe Grill ranks with the best. What sets it apart is the Santa Fe style of food that is available in addition to the excellent traditional Mexican fare. The chef manages to bring spicy without necessarily adding heat. The bottom line is - I can't give a description that would do the food or atmosphere justice. This place must be experienced to be appreciated. We will be back without question."

"Good service for sure. Manager is awesome. Food is consistently very good. The bathrooms are dirty as heck. Kitchen area by bathrooms is dirty too. Just clean up the bathrooms. Remodel those dirty things. Make the kitchen and restrooms match the food and service.. I've heard many people complain about the dirty kitchen and even dirtier bathrooms. . Clean it up guys. Join the big leagues."

"I took my girlfriend there for Mother's Day and it was a very nice surprise for her. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. My girlfriend received special treatment for Mother's Day to include a mimosa, soup or salad and a dessert of creme brulee. Very nice!"

Something new they started was having a singer on the patio - it was a perfect day, not too hot with a breeze. "The food is always wonderful and different from any other restaurant. Try the pork loin with the raspberry chipotle sauce or the lobster mac and cheese. And the green chile lobster dip is a MUST. Plus, the margaritas and the peach sangria are excellent. We always take our visitors to Blue Adobe!"

"We've been patronizing this restaurant since it opened. The carne adovada is sooo good. The first restaurant my kids and their families want to visit when in town from Tucson is Blue Adobe. "The Cruz Kitchen Signature is always one of our favorites, and our guests enjoyed it too. I had their Beef Tenderloin Medallion topped with Jalapeño Hollandaise with a Green Chile Potato, and I added on a Portabella Mushroom Enchilada with Amaretto Mushroom Cream Sauce because it is so unusually tasty. "We are from Buckeye, about 45 miles from this restaurant, but a friend was staying in Scottsdale for the night and we chose to go to Blue Adobe based on the AZ Republic review. She wanted Mexican food. While the Blue Adobe is not traditional Mexican or even TexMex, it was a great choice. The food was very tasty - we shared a salad and the carne adovada, plenty for two. Lots left over. Husband had the stacked enchiladas and he cleaned the plate. Sides were nothing special (beans, rice). Tortillas seem fresh. Salsa was interesting and smoky. Waitress was terrific - even suggested a similar but cheaper beer. The only downside is the noise level. We went on Friday night when they have live music. Too loud to even talk."

"On my husband's list for returning to when we are visiting. I like their chips and salsa, guacamole was fine. I had the seafood enchilada and my husband had a couple of beef burritos. The prickly pear margarita is good and regular too. I had the apple empanadas again."

"We were in the Phoenix area for a few days for spring training and found this place for dinner. Not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. More than enough food on my plate, and my Halibut was very moist and seasoned just right. We would go back next time we're in the neighborhood."

"It's spring training time, and Blue Adobe was packed on Friday night. Thank goodness we made an Open Table reservation. The food is always unique and outstanding here. My husband ordered the Carne Adovada, and the waiter suggested getting it in the Stacked Enchiladas. So he tried it, and he said it was a very good recommendation. I think you need to be a bit adventurous when you eat here because you may be a bit disappointed if you order something that you may be familiar with at other restaurants. Expand your horizons!"

"Out of towners on first visit to this place. Poor service. Waited on promptly, chips delivered to table, out of salsa at a southwest restaurant . Then never saw waitress again until right before the entree was delivered. Asked the server about the salsa and it appeared shortly after.The plate was very hot causing the enchilada to be hard on the bottom and the rice was too dry."

Salsa was delicious, drinks were great, food was to die for....we at first were put off by the outside (in a strip mall plaza) but once you got in the ambiance was great...it was packed, they had live entertainment-not too loud-but enjoyable.
