"If you are looking for good Cuban food at a reasonable price, Havana NY may be for you. The place does not seem like much from the outside, but the back dining room is very nice. I have come here often for lunch and occasionally for dinner. My most recent experience was dinner. The service was gracious and the food was very good. Location is convenient to the theater district as well as Fifth Avenue."

"We were a group of 6 doing an early dinner for a bachelorette night out on the town. Havana NY called to confirm the reservation earlier in the day, were flexible when we ran late, and were incredibly friendly and efficient once we got to the restaurant. Food was good, sangria was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right - not too loud but still charming and fun."

"The food was delicious; the service was OK. The wrong sampler platter was delivered to our table, but the problem was fixed and we got the erroneous sampler platter on the house. I rated the service fair because sometime we felt like the servers just did not listen to us (hence the wrong sampler platter). In addition, it took more than 10 min. to get our drinks delivered from the bar. Overall, I would give this place another chance and go back because the food was delicious. The pork shank was fantastic, the sampler platter (both actually: seafood and red meat) were delicious."

"From the time we walked in, everything that was being served looked and smelt so good. The flavors were just right and balanced. The staff took great care of us. Could not have asked for a better first impression. Will definitely be recommending to others."

"This place was great! On very short notice, management was able to accomodate our party size going fron 3 to 12 and made sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. The food was superb- try the mussels appetizer with the Chilean sea bass and a glass of Reisling. We didn't have room for dessert thanks to the generously portioned entrees. Coffee is served with toasted coconut on the side - tasty! Would definitely recommend!"

"Went there for dinner this week and really enjoyed the service, ambiance and food.I definitely plan on going back and taking others. Make sure to try the plantain chips with guac and pork empanadas for apps. The staff were all really nice, efficient - the waiter provided good suggestions and the owner or manager (couldn't tell which he was) made sure to say bye at the end and give us cards for a discount the next time we come."

"Stopped in at Havana for a pre-show dinner, we were able to go right to our table even though we arrived early. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable on the menu and attentive. We were a little short on time, but the waiter was helpful in making sure we got our order in quickly.
I ordered the Lechon Mojo which was delicious; perfectly slow roasted pork with yucca add garlic sauce and black beans and black rice. My wife ordered the tropical citrus chicken which she really enjoyed.
Would definitely come back when we have more time to enjoy more time in this spot."

"Excellent food in a vibrant and jovial atmosphere. Wait staff all entertaining to say the least. Sangria at 45 a pitcher for 4 glasses a little pricey and not as good as I have had. Perhaps the special white with champagne was their recpmmendation but I still prefer the red. Would definitely go back as I stayed at the Residence Inn and there are not many restaurants in that area."
