"Bob's did not meet our expectations or the level of quality advertised. The service was decidedly slow, we waited long periods at every course. I ordered the 16 ounce New York strip. The flavor was good but every bite was surprisingly chewy and more than half of what I ate was full of gristle. Certainly not prime beef. I gave up, leaving half the steak unbeaten. My baked potato was overcooked and dry, my wife's was lumpy (undercooked). This was our 35th anniversary and we chose Bob's from recent advertising. I would rate Del Friscos orJR's far above this place."

However, when we called for directions, the three different ladies we spoke with were extremely gracious and helpful."

"We stopped in at Bob's in Ft Worth to start our evening with dinner. We frequent the Plano location fairly regularly, but this was our first time at Ft Worth. This location is quite different from Plano; quieter, more open, lighter/brighter, and a fairly slow bar scene (we ate early, so that could contribute). Never the less, dinner, service, and atmosphere are excellent. Recommendations:
Ribeyes for both of us - always good, but wish they had something smaller than 12oz ribeye
The Mac and cheese is delicious
Your guilty of a terrible crime if you don't have the brownie sundae

"My wife and I went for our 12th wedding anniversary this past weekend an it was our first visit to Bob's and we could not be more pleased. The service was excellent and so was our food. "I chose Bob's for a first date with a beautiful friend because of previous experiences, this being her first visit. Overall, we were pleased with just about everything...the exceptions being I had to ask another server to send Casey to our table, as we were left unattended for approx. 15 minutes past our empty tea, martini, and champagne glasses. She dined on the double tenderloin and crab oscar, and was very pleased, I had the veal rib-eye, and though it had great flavor, was a little on the tough side, and was not trimmed of fat and gristle quite enough. Appetizers of calamari, and tenderloin tips were spot on, asparagus, 4 cheese mac n cheese, skillet potatoes and smashed potatoes were all really good, all hugely portioned."

"I was very dissapointed in the food. The manager had to take off my bill one of the steaks because it was to fatty. The quality of the food was sub par for what you expect Bob's to be, and for those prices. I had the filet and it was tough. I went to Saltgrass last Saturday night and had a filet, and it would melt in your mouth. But everything else about my experience was top notch. They just need a new chef and meat buyer."

"Went to Bob's in Ft Worth for my husband's birthday. We have been there several times. He loves their rack of lamb. For lamb, they are the best among the nice steak houses. We had great service and my filet was excellent, too. My husband loves the skillet potatoes. I don't like their crab cakes as much as some other places, but still can't complain. For his birthday, the waiter served us the peanut butter sundae for dessert. This is not something we would have normally ordered, but it was sinfully delicious!"

"I was really disappointed. The steak was good as well as the sides but not great. The sides were under seasoned. The shrimp plate was very "fishy" smelling. My guess is that it was previously frozen. When I asked about their lobster it was previously frozen too. Wine was initially poored including spilling some on the table cloth. After that we had to pour our own wine the entire dinner. The wine list has a few great wines but the majority you can purchase in any wine or liquor store. There were also two gentlemen in suits who just stood there and staired at everyone. Anywhere else I would have thought they were working security. However my guess is one was the maitre de and the other the sommelier. No returns for me."

"Once again, our time at Bob's was a terrific experience! We wanted seafood and we got the best.....the lobster tail was delicious and priced just right...look forward to having it again. Our server suggested my sister might like scallops (not on the menu) and they were wonderful...cooked just the way she likes with a delicious sauce on the side.
Our server, Helen, makes the whole evening for us. She is so good.....friendly without being "over-done" and the most knowledgable and efficientperson you could want. It is really the service that makes the whole experience so good.f course, Christian's way with food doesn't hurt either."

"The service was fantastic and very attentive. The sommelier recommended a cabernet that fit our palate perfectly, and it went extremely well with our dinner. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the side orders of asparagus and four-cheese macaroni were out of this world delicious. The glazed carrot was a tad to the soft side for my preference, but it was very tasty.
Overall, a wonderful night well-spent at an establishment that has earned its reputation as an excellent steak house, and it Fort Worth, that is a tough market in which to compete."

"I cannot recommend this restaurant for one reason: the untenable noise level. I took my college-age daughter and her boyfriend
and we were exhausted by the end of the evening by our endless "WHAT DID YOU SAY?s". I hate to pay $20-$35 for an entree and have to SHOUT THROUGH THE MEAL. Too bad, because the food was delicious."

"Great date night with my lovely wife. Waiter was excellent. I love hard European rolls and your bread had that same taste and texture, just wonderful. Sat a little too near the bar and it was a little noisy, but that was my only drawback to a nice evening. Shrimp cocktail was delicious and our steaks were just right. It was a pleasant experience."

"It was just fine... But unfortunately for the price, fine just really doesn't cut it. My husbands beer was constantly empty, and both our steaks came out greviously undercooked. We both ordered medium and received almost rare. My husband was really hungry and orders medium rare sometimes so he went ahead and ate his but I am pregnant and had to send mine back. It was replaced quickly and the filet was delicious, but my husband wasnt overly thrilled with his Kansas City cut, although that may have been influenced by the undercooking. We were celebrating a special occasion so we still had a great time and didn't regret the choice, but we likely won't return to spend that kind of money for a somewhat lackluster meal again."

"several high end steak places in downtown for worth...del friscos, capital grill, ruth's chris and others...bob's was a birthday dinner and the chocolate cake dessert was great...as were the drinks at the bar prior (really stiff! as advertised)...'loaf' of bread for two was one of the best we have ever had and served with real (hard) butter not the whipped kind at other places...crabcake appetizer was superb....unfortunately the steak we split...the prime ribeye...while done perfectly...was a little gristly and tough....hard to judge the place on only one visit..."
