Since its June 2007 launch in the heart of Cleveland’s Warehouse District, Crop Bistro & Bar has grown into the city’s most innovative restaurant, featuring a distinctive menu of inventive American cuisine, built upon foundations of freshness, flavor, and whimsy.
Crop Bistro is currently open at our new location in Ohio City. The new location is a 1920's era bank building and houses a locally focused marketplace as well as a large private dining vault that will accomodate approximately 100 guests.

"Crop's lunch menu offers a great variety of fresh, appetizing choices, many of which showcase local ingredients. Service is polite and responsive. As if the fabulous dishes and professional staff aren't enough to entice diners, the space in the former bank vault is nothing short of incredible. If you haven't visited Crop in its new location, or if you've never been at all, make it a priority to visit soon--you won't be disappointed!"

"Menu was great, form Appetizers to Dessert. One of the Best Servers I can recall in a long time. Knowledgeable, professional, informative, prompt. Portions were good, Flavors Rich and Vibrant. "I was totally blown away by my lunch at Crop. The setting is a beautiful, open air, art-deco atrium with character to spare. The cocktail menu is highly inventive and fun. The food was executed to perfection. The cherry bomb appetizer is simultaneously familiar and brand new.
Above all though was the outstanding service. Few places still maintain the professional caliber of care their wait staff provided. They are clearly under the direction of an exceptional FOH manager or maitre d', and it shines through from start to finish."

"Food was good. Chicken and Waffles was by far the best. Unfortunately, my 9 yr old didn't find his kid Mac n cheese suitable for consumption stating "tastes funny". Apparently the kitchen added a spice not to my son's liking. My steak glaze was also a little off putting-bland at best. My husband's chicken and waffles in the other hand were amazing. Perfect crispness and seasoning and the waffles delicately flavored. Service was a bit awkward (servers reaching overhead to serve me-to the service staff's defense: the table was in an awkward position). A little drafty-but expected in a former bank building, must say a beautiful bar though. Very good, but a bit pricey for what it is."

"My husband and I have been to Crop on two other occasions in the evening with clients. When I saw they were open for Mother's Day I was excited to enjoy an afternoon with family that had not been there before. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. My server seemed a little put-out and while he was a good server it was not great service for the amount of tip involved. I was really disappointed because we have had better service. The meals we ordered were presented in a timely and beautiful fashion however, the food seemed flat. The taste did not match the beautiful presentation. I had such high expectations that this would wow my family and it left us feeling...well, flat. Much like the food."

"Went for Mothers Day, the kids had the Chicken and Waffles (Best in the City). I had the Braised Short Ribs which were tender and flavorful with the addition of the Black Bean and Mole sauce. My Wife had the Ribeye, it was overcooked but the immediate rectification of the dish was well appreciated and expected as my wife had a new Ribeye back to the table within five minutes cooked to perfection. The Scallop and Pork Belly appetizers were both solid additions to the experience as well. The decor and ambience are what really set the stage for a wonderful time as the location is spot on."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Crop Bistro. We loved the building before we ever took a drink or bite. It is quite extraordinary. The artisan drinks were terrific and the food and service were quite wonderful. Our waiter was not happy with the time it took to get our entrees to us and offered us a dessert gratis, even though we had not complained. We would certainly recommend Crop Bistro to anyone who appreciates fine dining."

"We chose CROP for a multi-generation family graduation celebration. This is a delightful setting to show off what Cleveland really has to offer: amazing, creatively prepared food, an intriguing and beautiful reuse of architecturally appealing space, and wonderful service -- our waiter is one I'd like to have at every meal out, knowledgeable and perfectly but not overly attentive. My sons are proud of Cleveland's finer restaurants and it was great to be able to share our pride with the grandmother and future wife who haven't seen all our fair burg has to offer -- particularly, knowing that CROP is an example of what can be found here in comparison to what they've encountered in NY, Chicago and Dallas. Nicely done!"

"A unique setting, in a 1920's era bank lobby with marble columns and a high, ornate ceiling. Service was outstanding. We didn't feel rushed at all, but the service was not slow, but just a perfect pace. The balsamic popcorn (yes, popcorn) appetizer was tasty, a very creative combination. The walleye special and CAB ribeye entrees were excellent, and the chocolate napolean dessert was to die for. Overall, just an excellent experience, perfect for a special night out. We went on a Wednesday night, and the restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The only downside I could see would be that with the tile floor and stone walls, the room might be a bit noisy with a large weekend crowd."

"Everything about our experience at Crop Bistro was excellent. We arrived early so the 6 of us sat at the bar for drinks. Our bartender, DJ, was very knowledgeable, offered suggestions and was funny. Our dinner was excellent. We shared 3 appetisers - deviled eggs, oysters and calamari. All were excellent. For our main entrees, 3 of us ordered the veal chop, 2 fish dishes and a steak. They were all done perfectly and the sides were also excellent. This was our first time at Crop Bistro and we will definitely return."

"Very thrilled with our experience at Crop Bistro. The server was honest and helpful about dishes to try, and others to avoid. The mixed drinks were perfect, little to no waiting for our food and special attention paid throughout the meal. The beef short ribs were slightly dry and a little cool. I don't want a hot meal but they should have been warmer and more moist. Lemon risotto was nothing special though the texture revealed it was made in true fashion. Scallops were excellent and we thought the flavor of the chorizo roma tomatoes was divine. Great experience - would love to try the Chef's table at some point."

"In the past, our experience at Crop was outstanding. This time, our apps were excellent, however my wife tried the short ribs with mole. The short ribs themselves were barely warm and were sent back for some heat. Second time they were delivered by the chef du cuisine and still were not hot. No real excuse for that. Every restaurant may have a bad day or a bad dish but we generally remember our last meal. We will no doubt be back but were disappointed on that visit"

"We had a very nice experience this past weekend at Crop. We were seated right on time and our server greeeted us within 5 minutes. My wife has the scallops with were very good. I had the pasta special which was papardelle with lamb and a cream sauce. It too was good but not as good as the scallops. It was a little salty for my taste. The wine list was creative and fairly priced for an upscale resaurant. The only negative was the ambiant noise. If you want a quiter table get as far away from the bar as possible. It's such a large space I'm sure it's a challenge to buffer the noise.
We will go back."

"I was disappointed that the special Sundaymenu was a very limited Sunday menu. After making reservations through Open Rable, I needed to add individuals to our group so I called the restaurant; I believe they should have informed me that it was a limited menu. "This was a return visit to Crop Bistro and the food and service were as expected for this quality of a restaurant. Our party was seated slightly ahead of our reservation time and in the area I requested. All four diners were very happy with their choices and there were no leftovers! We will return again.
P.S. Not happy that no Open Table points allowed for this reservation!"

"I ordered the ribs. Meat was dry but well cooked. I think a veggie side vs. quesadillas would be a better accompaniment to this meal. Our server was mildly attentive. The person in charge of clearing plates and filling water glasses was overly attentive - to the point of annoying. We have been to this restaurant several times and will likely go back because of the food - usually, I enjoy it very much!"

"We had the scallop appetizer and the calamari. Both were delicious, perfectly prepared. I then had the braised lamb while my husband had the ribeye. My lamb fell apart and was fabulous! My husband loved his ribeye. Service was wonderful. We went on a Wednesday evening so the noise wasn't bad. I can imagine on weekends, it could be very noisy. the builiding is beautiful, however. We told them that we were going to a play and our server remembered and was attentive to this need. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"We had a party of six and had a lovely dinner. One of our guests was from San Francisco and said the line would go around the block if Crop's was there. We loved the beer list and the architecture is fabulous. The scallops were the best I've ever had."

"We have gone to Crop once before and it was good. Nothing outstanding but just good. I had noticed they changed up their menu so we went back for a birthday dinner and everyone was floored by the food. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while! The only complaint I would have is that it is very loud in there. The tall ceilings echo everyone's voices so it was hard to hear the server and our on conversations."

"My wife booked this for my birthday and Crop in legit. We sat at the "chef's table" which is a bar seating area over looking the kitchen which I think is super cool, although would not be the easiest for groups larger than two to converse. Food was all fantastic I had a breaded pork chop that was the bomb, and we had started with the scallop appetizer which was awesome.
Portions are frigging gigantic, but save room for baked Alaska. It is the truth."
