Bobo's
Bobo's is a stylish destination for the most exquisite steak and crab in the City. With antiqued red walls, colored glass light fixtures and striped tablecloths, the restaurant is like a plush Venetian jewel box. Executive Chef Andrea Froncillo has created a delectable menu that showcases his signature Italian-Asian fusion. The steak is USDA certified prime beef, dry-aged four to six weeks - longer than anywhere else on the West Coast! The crab is Dungeness, harvested from the Pacific Ocean and roasted in a savory garlic-butter sauce that is positively addicting.

"I don't eat a lot of red meat, but when I do, I want it to be the best. Bobo's come close to perfect.
I had t he bone-in fillet, which was cooked to order, tender and tasted great. We also shared the flat-iron mussels, twice baked potato and sauteed portabello mushrooms all good. Great dining experience."

"Dry aged bone in filet was superb. Chose this venue for this food item in particular. The bonus was that the atmosphere was relaxed and noisy enough for two couples to feel comfortable while dining with their respective 10 and 20 month olds. My daughter loved the steak as much as I did. The restaurant had only one high chair as it is not common for young ones to be dining in their establishment but we were accommadated by booth seating."

"I was not impressed. Our waitress has told us that they are known for the steak and crab. I decided to get the surf and turf and it was a bad decision. My steak was not cooked to how I wanted it. The crab was dry and was sticking to the shell. The kraft mac and cheese taste a lot better than their mac and cheese. It tasted like old milk. You would think the waitress would have noticed that it was not like if we barely touched it. Lastly my sisters asked her steak to be medium and it was rare when she sent it back to get a little more cooked it came back burnt. It is not a kid friendly place and overall we were not happy DONT go if you are a foodie."

"The food was great and the bread they bring out with olive oil and garlic is to die for. Steaks were perfect and sides (Swiss chard & mushrooms) were very good too. The only negative I would say is the decor which is unique with all the court jester stuff but it's a little too overdown. But Overall still highly recommend it as it was unique and very good. Service was great."

"Bobo's overall was a nice experience. From ease of parking with the free valet to being seated immediately was the first step.The food was very good overall but I felt the appetizer was a little under portioned (yellow tail carpaccio). It was so thin I thought they had forgotten to put it on the plate.The flavor how ever was great! The bone in Filet was very good but the surf and turf was a bit messy for my wife. The swiss chard lived up to it's reputation as a great side but the mac and cheese was just o.k. The staff was very attentive without being bothersome. The cocktails were very good and the Mango Panna cotta was amazing. I felt it was a little pricey being an ala carte menu but was a nice place for a special occasion."

"I've been here a few times...every time before the last experience were exceptional, food/wine and service! I recommend Bobo's when people ask me where I'd go to have steak in SF. My experience in the hospitality industry has spanned for over a decade and I worked at The Grill on the Alley in San Jose for almost 7 years.
My last experience at Bob's was horrible, I took my friend for her b-day and highly recommended Bobo's. Our server was unattentive (I'm not a high maitenaince type...just like to get my food in a timely manner and you don't even have to check back on me and I'm happy). Our server tried to rush our order, our pace/courses, our experience...all rushed. Poor service can leave a sour taste even when the food is superb"

"First heard of this restaurant on Check Please - Bay Area. The consensus was that they served the best New York Steak in San Francisco. Coincidently, a couple of weeks later, my girlfriend took me there for my birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the servics. This week I took her there for her birthday and we had an excellent time all over again.
I don't know if they serve the best New York Steak in San Francisco, but it is certainly the best I've had in the 42 years that I've lived here."

"I go to Bobo's every couple of months with some friends when we start craving a steak. We used to try out different places but we were always disappointed with them, we have never been disappointed at Bobo's. We always go for the bone in fillet. It isn't cheap but you are paying for quality and it's worth every cent. You can tell it's a great piece of meat which has clearly been hung well as it doesn't bleed all over the plate - I get mine rare. If you are craving a steak, look no further than Bobo's."

"I was told the Bobo's is the best Steak restaurant in SF, so I went there. The ambience was good, the steak as well. The wine I got was average, I wouldnt expect getting that bad one in such a restaurant. The service was ok but by far nothing you will remember and telling your friends about. I expected much, so I was disappointed when leaving the location. Much overpriced and definitely not worth the money. There are much better places in SF that will give you a great dining experience."

"We were greeted Immediately. Our table was ready for us. It's nice there is complimentary valet parking which makes it easy to park. Everything was nice. Service was quick, food was quick. The whole experience was great!"

"Tremendous bone-in Filet Mignon. Very good wedge salad (order it with the viniagrette instead of the bleu cheese)and crab cakes. You don't need a side with the steak because the complimentary garlic bread is great."

"Crab cakes were excellent. Could actually taste the crab instead of cayenne pepper. Why do people think cayenne pepper is some kind of magic ingredient to make crabcakes taste good?
Bone in NY strip was as good as those I've had in the steak capital of the USA, Omaha Nebraska. Terrific onion rings. Not greasy at all.
A little pricey, but it's SF and it was a special occassion. Noise factor was tolerable. Service excellent. Valet parking was a God send.
Atmosphere I can best describe as "Cirque De Soleil esque." Not your typical steakhouse decor."

"Food was tasty & properly prepared although lot of butter used. Bread was soaked in butter or oil. Would have preferred just plain, fresh bread that I could butter or flavor myself if I wanted. Frankly, I would still recommend the place except for the fact that I think it's over priced."

"While the overall experience turned out well, it was a terrible first impression of BoBo's. This was due to the bartender who was rude, inattentive and really set a bad tone to the evening. We almost walked out. Knowing you are about to drop a good $300+ on a dinner and then the guy manning the bar won't even acknowledge your existence for 10 minutes is not cool at all. Doubt we will be going back."
