"Best Indian food in the Rockville area. Nice and spicy but not over the top. Lovely presentation as well. Kid-friendly in that they are very accomodating and understanding of kid messes."

"Spice Xing blew my mind. Last year I had a really bad experience with Indian food and did not want to try it again. I gave this place a chance because my wife was craving Indian food. I was kind of nervous at first until I had my first bite, I fell in love from that point on. After the experience we had, this is definitely our favorite place to eat."

"I like this place because it has the classic Indian favorites, plus some original dishes as well as some more unusual Indian entrees. The ambience is very comfortable and modern. The staff is very attentive and the manager is always double checking. If you are looking for a combo of good typical and some creative things you can find no where else. This is a great choice. Food is tasty and amble."

"I'm a fan of most any dish that incorporates something prepared in a tandoor. This time, however, I found the Tandoori Chicken to be rather dry and not particularly savory. That it was served with rather bland basmati rice -- bland only in that there wasn't anything to mix in to "spice xing" it up -- probably made matters worse. The naan was tasty and perfectly done, however. I'll certainly go back, if only to try other dishes on their menu."

"I drove a considerable distance to try out this new Indian restaurant. The decor was, as advertised, chic but cold. Both dishes were quite tasty. The service was negligent and dismissive. I sat, numerous times, completely unattended to. And when they deigned to approach the table, the rapport was perfunctory, as if I were a bother just being there. I will not return until they show greater respect to their customers."

"Very nice Indian snacks, I especially like the chilli cheese toast. I've been there a few times now, and had a good experience every time. The lunch buffet on weekends is good too."

"I have been here for dinner a couple of times and the food was great. So, I decided to go for buffet and the food was very ordinary. I will go for dinner but I will stay away from their buffet."

"returned thanks to the 50% off on Google Offers! No problem making the reservation through OpenTable or using the online coupon once the bill arrived. The food and mango lassis were just as good as our first visit! Highly recommend."

"The tandoori chicken and roti nan were very good, as was the service. The ambiance is not as appealing as that of Passages of India, a sister restaurant in Bethesda. The only disappointment was the weak coffee."

"Buffet was awful. Seemed like it was all leftovers. I have been here before. Every time it is a gamble. The Indian restaurants in this area bank on non-Indians ignorance. Truly, the Rockville area has no decent Indian restaurants. Why can't we get a Woodlands or Saravana Palace in this area?"

"Service was very bad. We became so hungry after waiting a long time we asked for bread. We were told at that time that the food was just about to be served. 30 minutes passed by with no food, even though we spoke to manager it took about another 10 minutes. The manager was very apologetic. The food was good once we received it, but no food was worth waiting that long for and who knows maybe we were just so hungry it tasted good. If I were the manager I would have given us a large discount or even free as the service was that bad. He would have had a return customer. Now we will not go back."

"We recently moved to Gaithersburg and were interested in exploring new places for good Indian food and came across Spice Xing on Yelp and Open Table. After reading the rave reviews we decided why not? Well all I have to say is wow! Service, food and cocktails no less than outstanding. The waiter was tentative to us as well as to the demanding couple sitting behind us who wanted everything down to the recipe of their entrees. Can't wait to take my girlfriend who is also an Indian food fanatic. See you soon Spice Xing!!"

"The food here is amazing. You will find a broad mix of North Indian cuisine cooked to perfection. To complement your entree, the naan and basmati rice are both quite well done. The service is wonderful too and the staff friendly. Highly recommended!"

"Took my wife there for Valentine's Day dinner. She was born in India and loves Indian food. My only complaint was that the food was not spicy. My wife asked ahead of time, and they said they could make it as spicy as she wanted. However when the food came they just brought a bottle of hot sauce. That was dissapointing! The food was good however. Waiters and staff were all very polite and helpful and the food was prepared quickly. Overall, a pretty good experience. Quiet place, great ambience and a short walk to the Regal theaters."

"Their appetizer/small plate menu is long an interesting, so we ended up having "Indian Tapas" for dinner which gave us lots of choices and was very tasty!
We've ordered of there regular menu too, and the food has always been quite good. But be careful, when the say something is hot (very spicy) they mean it!
The tandoori pineapple for desert is fantastic!
If you order take-out, they will bring it out to you in your car, which comes in quite handy in Rockville Town Square."
