Blue Stove is a stylish yet casual restaurant featuring our interpretation of contemporary flavors focusing on bold tastes and textures. The menu allows our customer the chance to experience our offerings through a variety of small plates that are bold in concept and internationally inspired. We invite our customers to select combinations of menu items with the goal of sharing each dish, making a dining experience unlike any other.
The exhibition kitchen provides a stage for our chefs to prepare the menu in a colorful, energetic environment. The wine bar romances wine while providing an alternative dining experience.
Blue Stove is a full service restaurant that prides itself on service that is both professional and relaxed while demonstrating knowledge and passion for our food and wine. The menu is complimented by a well chosen selection of interesting wines, many available by the glass.

"Like others, I was skeptical about all the great reviews of a restaurant in a department store but we weren't disappointed. i had the two salads, the apple, mango and goat cheese salad, which was very tasty and the warm Goat Cheese Salad with Beets & Arugula. My wife and daughter's meals were also great. My pet peeve in other restaruants, not filling my cofee cup (I drink a lot of decaf), was solved with a French press that was left at the table and kept the brew plentiful and warm. The wait staff was responsive and friendly and everything was great."

"My friend and I always come to Blue Stove for a Mother's Day lunch. It's always good, and the service is attentive but not overbearing. We get the local cheese plate every time we go, and have never had a bad plate of food there."

"It's rare to find such a delightful spot inside a retail store. The small plates menu is a welcome change from the typical Chicken Caesar Salad type of offerings usually found. The care in putting together a menu that would please diverse palates is obvious and the food is delicious. I've been there numerous times and am always trying something different and I've never been disappointed."

"Great food. Perfect service. Located upstairs in the Nordstroms in Thousand Oaks, this hidden tapas style dining experience is our favorite place to eat. Our top few favorites are: lime chicken tacos, risotto with scallops, broccoliini, crispy beef and cherry and the salad with candied pecans. We've almost tried the rest but these are our favorites. Also, try their Republic of Tea iced teas perfect flavors to match the food."

"Love this restaurant and return again and again. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Good for dinner and lunch. The small plate menu makes it easy to share. Very convenient if you are at the Oaks mall, although worth a trip just for the food. The chicken lime tacos are a favorite. Only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the dessert menu is only so-so - but there is a See's Candy in the mall."

"This was my second visity and I've been pleased both times. Service this time wasn't as quick, but our waitress was wonderful. One plate never came out though, but was on the bill. She took care of it immediately and apologized profusely. You've got to try the black cherry beef.... DELISH!!!"

"This small plates, open-kitchen style restaurant serves delicious food! I've been several times and to date haven't had a bad dish. Service is fairly fast and cheerful, with good explanations about the food. I usually just walk in for lunch, but the dinner hour is crowded and thus should have a reservation."

"As always we enjoyed ourselves at Blue Stove. The only negative was that there was a long gap in service on our second round of dishes. Apparently our plates waited a while for delivery because my skirt steak arrived cold. It would have been much better if it came hot (or even tepid). Otherwise it was a perfect evening."

"1st visit /w friends: The food-OUTSTANDING! Atmosphere-Romantic, yet perfect for girls night out. Tucked away in Nordstroms, its an must shop-stop, good service. Not well advertised, but I found it on-line looking up Thousand Oaks Nordstroms cafe. Easy on-line reservation connection using "OpenTable"."
Better placement (outside the entrance)showing hours & menu, to encourge new patrons; When I prefered booth-seating, before my guests arrived, the only booth available had a big rip/wear on the seat & looked tacky for this nice upscale cafe.
Tapas were perfect for shop and go dining. Tapas were a fun dining experience and the server explained how to order for 3. Good service & will go back again soon!"

"I was hesitant as it is in a department store (Nordstroms) but the restaurant doesn't feel that way. The decor is dark wood with a clean, modern feel. The food was excellent. We had the lime chicken tacos (4 small tacos), lemon risotto with scallops (3 scallops in a bed of very tasty risotto) as well as salads to start (I had the beet brie salad.) We highly recommend all of those dishes. The portions are similar to tapas - like appetizers to share - but reasonably priced. They also have a good wine list. The service was excellent. We got there early for lunch and, even on a weekday, it got very busy but the service didn't suffer. Good find."

"I give this location a 5 star. I needed a place to have a meeting with 6 sales people & a vendor/ importer. Looked for lighter foods and wher we could taste wines from the importer. It was perfect, the food was excellent, the service very attentive, ambiance ideal.
The menu was fantanstic, my staff agreed, with 2 of these people chefs in the past. All foodie wine folks, and a importer all felt the quality was wonderful. The food did not distract from the point of meeting, it complimented."
