"The place has Malibu history as its inside decor. Great views of the beach, an outdoor patio at sunset; It was a memorable dinner because it was so much dang fun. It might be bar food, sea food, but they do it right. The wait staff wants you to have a good time. I would call it a party place, location location location."

"we went for mother's day knowing it would be busy but it was so unorganized and the host staff so unpleasant it was laughable. They sat us so late even with a reservation that they told us we missed breakfast. We begged the waitress and she let us order breakfast. She was so over worked our food took forever. Drinks came after the food and the food was only ok. My daughters pancakes were burnt.The table next to us gave us their leftbover french fries because our food took so long and the other table next to us didnt eat their food and filed a complaint with the manager. Not a pleasant place for sunday mother's day brunch."

"The location is the only reason to go to this restaurant. The restaurant is on a beatiful beach and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food is pricey for the taste and quality. Salads are OK and grilled fish shows no originality or thought. I don't like fried food but if you do this is the way to go."

"Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is a fun overall experience, but you have to be ready for long waits and screaming kids! Can't beat the beachfront location and sand beneath your table, though. The staff is really friendly, but note that even if you have a reservation, you will probably end up waiting 30-45 minutes which they don't necessarily tell you when you make the reservation. The food is mediocre at best, but eating here definitely makes you feel like your'e on vacation. I would recommend this place more for tourists who don't get to see the beach a lot - if you're a local looking for a relaxing dinner, this probably isn't the best place for that.
If you go, get the pina colada - best one I've ever had!"

"First trip to Paradise Cove after driving by for years. The parking lot was full so we had to park on PCH and walk in. There is a $10 per person walk in fee or $30 parking fee. walking out is a pretty steep climb. The fee is refundable if you only stay 4 hours and spend $25 per person on food. Wehad a 2:15 reservation and were seated at 2:30. The staff was nice. The food was decent - shrimp appetizer was great, but crab cakes were fishy. This is a fun spot with a very kid friendly swimming beach."

"If you sit outdoors, ambiance is beautiful. But expect nothing from food. We got a $25 seafood tower that was supposed to have lump crab & tuna poke (that the waitress descried as tuna sashimi). No crab & tuna was covered in mayo. shrimp were tiny, not quality large ones like you'd expect & scallop ceviche & muscles were so salty we could barely eat them. they don't offer a simple house salad - if you want lettuce or spinach without a ton a fattening stuff on it, you have to pay $21 for the salad bar. beefsteak tomatoes were definitely no where near farmers market quality-mealy and light pink. Waitress said, as we were trying to order a spinach salad, we don't make any substitutions. This place is packed for the view so they don't have to."

"I have wanted to visit this restaurant for some time and I am happy I finally had the chance. It was a wonderful experience. The food was great and they give you a lot of it. Our waiter was not a people person and a bit slow, but I still had a great time. This is definitely a place I will revisit."

"My wife and I went to Paradise Cove Beach Cafe two years ago and had fond memories. Something has changed. The food tasted like a Denny's (not bad but just mediocre) and the server was very lackadaisical and not very attentive at all even though there were hardly anyone in the restaurant at the time. The ApplePancake my wife had was not very good and my omlette was too greasy. Even the presentation of the food was lacking. Overall, with our high expectations set two years ago, I was deeply disappointed.
There was one other problem in that they didnt record my OpenTable reservation which didnt give me credit through OpenTable for having gone. I dont know if that was a training issue with the restaurant or something else."

"We had a great dinner, with great food and excellent service. I requested a window with a view of the beach in my reservation request for my girlfriend's birthday and we were seated by a window with a view to the beach! Paradise Cove does a great job of handling hoards of people as we were there on a Sunday and the place was jumping with tons of people, but the staff does a excellent job of making you feel special despite the numbers of people who are there. "We went to celebrate my birthday had a fantastic meal the view and location was awesome, but I really want to thank the staff there after our beautiful lunch that we had, the kids where enjoying the beach and the waves started getting a little rough and my daughter was knocked down and she ended up breaking her ankle, the staff where right on the spot with carrying here in a chair to the restaurant and then in a wheelchair to the car they our truly family friendly and will look forward to go again once my baby can get around of course."

"The view was the best thing about this place! The food was less than good and my daughter's meal (mac n cheese) had to be sent back because it had something in it! Gross. Not the cleanest restaurant and that is a big no-no for me. Also, my wine was served to me in a glass with lipstick still on it.
If you just want to go and see a lovely view of ocean and maybe a drink - maybe. Food not so good. I was warned but really wanted to see the view after a long day of site seeing.
Hope you can find a better place to see the coast!"

"They were out of the Veggie Burger I ordered. Long wait for outside seating even though I had a reservation. Portions are enormous which makes for a lot of wasted food. Cool photos around the restaurant. Fun place to be. Good service."

"A lot of fun with a great ocean view right on the beach. At sunset Saturday evening the place was jammed, our reservation was respected ( within the 20 minute disclaimer ), all kinds of people young, old, families, friends. And everyone was happy.
For us it was a pilgrimage. In the TV series The Rockford Files, this restaurant parking lot was where Jim Rockford parked his trailer home.

No, you would not come here for the food. Do not order fish and chips if you expect fresh fish cooked in a crispy batter. The coconut shrimp was overcooked and the fries were cold. But a waiter replaced them immediately upon request with a hot and delicious plateful. The cole slaw was tasty. The beer menu is very good as was the margarita."

"Awesome place on the beach! You can dig your feet in the sand while you eat or dine inside if you prefer. If you have your heart set on eating on the beach but it's too cold, they have heat lamps for your comfort. The food is average. The prices are high, as you are paying to eat on a private cove in Malibu. Management seems attentive and responsive to client requests."
