Bistro 33
Truly a destination for everyone, Bistro 33 Davis is a cultural and community center that infuses exquisite Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine with a sense of history. Our delicate remodel of the Historic City Hall building in downtown Davis allows us to provide Chef Fred’s award-winning fare in a variety of settings. Enjoy our famous panini on the gorgeous three-tiered patio or a wood-fired pizza in the full-service bar, or relax with a nice Oregon Pinot Noir next to the “burning rock” fireplace.
Bistro 33 Davis, however, is not only a restaurant. The Historic City Hall building has also been renovated into a state-of-the-art event center that can be used for birthday parties, small conferences, mid-sized cocktail parties and dinners, even wedding ceremonies with several hundreds of people!

"Service was excellent and the food of a consistently high quality. On the down side, the wine list is somewhat limited for a "bistro" and the choices for vegetarians rather uninspired, which is odd given the excellent quality of produce in Davis and environs."

"Dined early (5:30) Sunday evening after a matinee. Small crowd on patio, restaurant very quiet. Servers pleasant but only remembered to bring requested condiment at close to end of meal. Food good, but not inspired. Crab cakes fairly tasteless and served with a sweet fresh tomato coulie and a mustard? based sauce which killed all taste buds! Dish would have been enhanced if some of the "kick" was in the crab and less in the sauce, Wine list good with a decent price range for decent wines."

"This restaurant has good food and a great menu. However, the service was an issue. It was admittedly a busy night, but we made it clear we had tickets for a show and while the food could have been brought faster (really? 20 minutes to get cobbler) the most annoying part was it took over 15 minutes to pay the bill. We even tried to take the bill to the register to pay so that we would make our show, but were told they had to find the server to completer the transaction. Made it by the skin of our teeth, even though we allowed over two hours for dinner."

"I really enjoy the happy hour. The dinner was not as I would have liked. The salad lacked a tasty dressing. However, when we asked for more dressing they were willing to accommodate.

"Over all, an OK experience. Can't say that this is a top 10 restaurant. What we ordered was not made as requested, but to be fare, our server was in training. My husband's salad had a cut up bell pepper with the price tag still on. Hot dishes were tasty and food was brought out on time. Just not blow away by the whole experience but can see that others were having a good time. Place was packed. Outside had a besutiful patio with a fire but. Very romantic. Bar area extremely popular."

"Food was good with the stand out being the criss cut fries with gorgonzola cheese. It is a good place to drop in for a casual bite to eat. Be aware that you can't order off the happy hour menu if you are not sitting at the bar. I was a little disappointed with that but otherwise it was fine."
